First, the pros: The natural scenery at this hotel is absolutely breathtaking, making even the West Lake State Guest House seem modest in comparison. The boardwalks throughout the hotel are also beautifully maintained. If you're looking for peace and quiet, there's no need to visit the East Lake Scenic Area nearby – this place *is* the scenic area.
While staying at the hotel, you can also visit Mao Zedong's former residence. There's a restaurant next to the residence with an impeccable dining environment, which I unfortunately only discovered upon checking out.
The hotel's east gate has a bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the museum, Yellow Crane Tower, and Tanhualin. It’s a great way to enjoy the city views while traveling. There are also many restaurants nearby.
Now for the cons: The facilities are a bit dated. The outlets in the room are very loose; I could only charge my devices in the bathroom. Also, there are so many mirrors that it constantly created visual illusions.
There's no elevator access to the rooms for breakfast, so I had to climb stairs every time.
Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel and hope for improvements.

Facilities: Very new, with beautiful marble decor.
Hygiene: The rooms are all quite clean.
Environment: It's just across the road from T2, you can see planes and there's a small garden. The environment is superb.
Service: The service is always great every time I come. There's also room service available at night, which is perfect for those catching a flight.
Free shuttle bus between Wuhan Tianhe Airport T2-T3 terminals (not applicable for transit passengers): It's quite convenient to transfer to T3, and the shuttle bus starts running very early.

We stayed in room 11xx - arriving late from Beijing, the staff were prompt and the check in experience was very smooth; our room was cozy too. We opted for a late Breakfast buffet and went off on a Wuhan city tour on a Rainy Sunday morning.I would like to mention a few staff who were extremely friendly and helpful, Ms Dora Zhou who offered exemplary service to attend to the numerous occasions where I sought help to resolve the challenges as a non native Chinese tourist.

I booked this Holiday Inn Express along the river in advance on Ctrip, as I was taking my parents back to Yichang to visit family and pay respects at the cemetery.
My flight landed a bit late, but the front desk service was excellent when I checked in.
The hotel's overall environment is very clean, and the room amenities are complete. Although the room faced the street (with a river view), the soundproofing was good.
There's also a laundry room and a gym on the second floor. The restaurant is next to the gym; while the breakfast selection isn't huge, they have hot dry noodles, which taste great.
Overall, it was a very good stay.

This guesthouse met my expectations perfectly. After an exhausting day at Enshi Grand Canyon, all I wanted was to lie down, and this guesthouse is super close, just a few minutes' drive from the visitor center. The owner even came out to greet us, making it easy to spot the place. The room had an amazing view and was very bright. The sofa was really spacious, perfect for lounging around. The complimentary snacks and fruit were a pleasant surprise – I even tried the stinky dried tofu and had a good laugh. We pre-ordered dinner, which was home-style cooking. Enjoying the beautiful scenery with a little wine, isn't that what a good trip is all about? The family room was huge, well-equipped, clean, and had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Breakfast was also something to look forward to. My noodles were a bit salty, but I still polished them off! 😅 The housekeeper was always smiling, which made our stay very comfortable. I even took photos to praise them!

I had an amazing stay at Four Seasons International Hotel (Shiyan Beijing Middle Road University Town). The room was exceptionally clean and the mattress was incredibly comfortable — one of the best I’ve ever slept on. The overall cleanliness and room ambience truly exceeded my expectations.
The staff were extremely sweet, helpful, and quick to respond whenever I needed anything. Their hospitality really stood out. The most surprising and heartwarming part of my stay was that the hotel provided me with free breakfast and dinner. On one of the days, I was very hungry and didn’t know where to go for dinner, but the staff kindly arranged a complimentary meal for me. I genuinely appreciated this thoughtful gesture.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent service, great comfort, and sincere hospitality. I absolutely loved my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future!

This time I came to Yichang to stay at Yaluo Hotel. The overall experience exceeded expectations. From the environment, service to the details, people are particularly satisfied. It is highly recommended to friends who come to local business trips or play!
The location of the hotel is very convenient, the surrounding facilities are complete, and travel and eating are very worry-free. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was attracted by the simple and clean decoration. The warm lighting made people particularly relaxing. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, there was no noise, and the atmosphere was very good. The front desk staff is gentle and professional, the check-in speed is very fast, the whole process is efficient and not delayed, any questions will be patiently answered, the service is particularly intimate and thoughtful, and the treatment is very sincere.
The internal facilities of the room are brand new, the hygiene is particularly in place, the bedding is clean and soft, the comfort level is very high, the mattress is moderately soft and hard, the sleep is very good, and the business trip can take a good rest for a day. The layout of the room is reasonable, the lighting and ventilation are good, the space is spacious and not depressed, the bathroom separated from dry and wet is clean and odorless, the toiletries are complete, and the details are in place. The whole house is clean and odorless, the sound insulation effect is also online, the rest at night is completely undisturbed, and the quality of sleep is particularly good.
The hotel facilities are very practical, the network is stable and smooth, meeting the needs of office and drama, and the price is super high. The overall is a boutique economical positioning, the price is close to the people but has a good living texture, the quality of the customer group is high, the environment is quiet and comfortable, whether it is a short-term business trip or a short-term trip is very suitable. Compared with hotels at the same price, Yaluo is more outstanding in health, service and hardware, management standards, simple process, and comfortable to live.
A very pleasant stay experience, I have recommended it to friends around me, and I will give priority to Yaluo Hotel next time I come to Yichang!

The hotel's location is right in the city center. We drove there and initially went to the wrong place, navigating to Atour S Hotel instead. The navigation for this hotel and the Atour S hotel was only off by an 'S', so the names are very similar. I hope they can improve the name on the map. The hotel upgraded our room for free, and the river view was beautiful. The service was also excellent. Overall, a great experience.

GGuest UserIt is a very suitable hotel for business trips. The central air-conditioning and warm air will not make people feel too dry. It is next to the entrance of the viaduct. It takes less than ten minutes to drive to Wuhan International Expo Center. I will come here again next time I am on a business trip.
CChet and SunnyHotel was located very close to Metro and shopping street. Comfortable, clean, and quiet room with partial river view; only complaint was the window needed cleaning to give full marks for our stay. Breakfast was also very good with pleasant seating atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it for a very good value if you're touring Wuhan!

DDaixigongyuMarco Polo Wuhan: An Unexpectedly Great Stay at a Classic Five-Star Hotel
**Reason for Choosing:**
When booking a hotel, location was my top priority, and the Marco Polo certainly delivers. However, after browsing online reviews, which were a mixed bag of good and bad, I was a bit hesitant. Then I remembered the Hong Kong Marco Polo, a long-standing establishment I’ve always held in high regard. Trusting in the reputation of classic hotels, I decided to go with this one.
**Location:**
Absolutely unbeatable location. The hotel is right next to the Yangtze River, and just across the road is Jiangtan Park, perfect for a pleasant evening stroll – it has a bit of an old Shanghai Bund vibe. Next to the hotel is Lihuangpi Road, a charming street with many cafes, also reminiscent of Shanghai. The entire riverside avenue features old, historic buildings, and the view of the buildings across the river from Jiangtan Park is simply stunning.
**Room:**
I booked an Executive Floor room, which offered a view of the Yangtze River. The hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2024, so while the room's layout retains a classic hotel style, the soft furnishings, carpets, and other elements are all new, making for a very comfortable stay. The room size was also quite generous. Many online reviews mentioned issues with the rooms, but I was extremely satisfied with mine.
**Executive Lounge:**
The Executive Lounge was the highlight of my stay.
* **Ambiance:** The lounge boasts excellent river views and a fantastic atmosphere. The table linens and decor transported me back to the golden age of classic hotels – I remember a time when staying on the Executive Floor meant checking in separately at the lounge, enjoying breakfast there for peace and quiet away from the crowded main dining area, and having afternoon tea and happy hour. Nowadays, many hotels cut these services to save costs. We had just come from the Grand Hyatt in Changsha, where they’d even stopped offering breakfast in the Executive Lounge. So, it was truly satisfying to see that this hotel still maintains the high standards and style of a classic hotel.
* **Service:** The Executive Lounge staff were incredibly attentive. I can honestly say it was the best service I've experienced in an Executive Lounge at any 5-star hotel in recent years. The staff genuinely went above and beyond to meet every guest's request. A special shout-out to Xiaoxiong (Fairy)!
* **Food & Beverage:** The afternoon tea and Happy Hour selections were abundant. The breakfast was even more impressive, featuring an à la carte menu. This truly embodies the customer-centric philosophy of a classic luxury five-star hotel.
**Service Philosophy (Special Commendation):**
In an era where many five-star hotels have completely forgotten their fundamental goal of “serving guests” and prioritize cost-cutting, the Marco Polo stands apart. It continues to uphold its service philosophy, truly embodying the essence of a luxury hotel. This dedication is incredibly touching and highly commendable.
**Overall Impression:**
This stay was unexpectedly wonderful. It offered great value for money. All the negative issues I had worried about from online reviews didn't materialize. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends, and if they visit Wuhan, especially Hankou, this will be my top recommendation.

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious and well-designed. My husband and I were traveling together and worried about not sleeping well, so we each had our own room with two bathrooms, ensuring no disturbances. The location is also very convenient, with a mall downstairs and the subway just a short walk away, making shopping, dining, and getting around very easy. The downside is that while the soundproofing within the room was good – my husband's snoring didn't bother me – I'm quite sensitive to noise, and the sound of water being used from either the next room or upstairs, or the air conditioning starting up, would still affect me in the middle of the night. Also, the trash can in the bathroom was foot-pedal operated, which was quite odd, especially since it was positioned behind me. You'd either have to move it to your feet, which was a hassle. Finally, although the deposit was refunded quite promptly after check-out, I don't really see the necessity of paying a deposit anymore. Many five-star hotels now allow you to stay on credit without a deposit, so there's no need to add unnecessary inconvenience for guests.
GGuest UserI traveled some time ago and had a great experience staying there. I must share it! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was attracted by its grand and elegant appearance. As you step into the lobby, you will find it spacious and bright, with exquisite decoration and pleasant fragrance, which will instantly dispel your travel fatigue. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and efficient, checked us in quickly, and introduced the hotel facilities attentively. The room was even more stunning. The space layout is reasonable and the lighting is excellent. The bedding is soft and comfortable. Lying down feels like being wrapped in clouds. The sleep quality is excellent. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and the toiletries are of high quality and full of details.
The service was first class. Whether it's helping to call a taxi or recommending local attractions, the staff are always responsive and warm and thoughtful. One time I accidentally left something behind, and the staff contacted me immediately after discovering it and kept it properly until I retrieved it. It was so heartwarming. The environment, facilities and services were impeccable in every aspect. I highly recommend it to everyone. Next time I travel, I will definitely choose here again!

GGuest UserThe breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and I loved the quiet floor I was on. The soundproofing in the rooms was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay, and the bedding was top-notch. After checking out, I accidentally left some clothes behind, but the front desk contacted me immediately and even offered to ship them to me, which I really appreciate. 🙏 I'll definitely be staying here again; it's a fantastic hotel. The housekeeping staff was also super quick when I needed something. Five-star rating all around!

GGuest UserFrom check-in to check-out, the whole experience is full! The hotel is decorated in a simple atmosphere, with green plants in public areas and a full atmosphere. The intelligent control system in the room is very convenient, and the voice can adjust the lights and air conditioning.
KkillymikeQuanji Hotel, Xiangyang review
I spent two nights at Quanji Hotel in Xiangyang, and I left with a mix of impressions some solid wins, one or two quirks, and a sense that this place knows what travelers like me actually want after a long day of sightseeing or meetings.
First impressions
- Exterior and lobby: Modern, clean, and uncluttered. The lobby feels calm, not trying too hard to impress you, which is nice after a long train ride. The check-in process was smooth, with staff who spoke enough English to help, but not so much that you felt talked down to.
- Location: Pretty convenient depending on what you’re here for. It isn’t in the center of Xiangyang’s busiest streets, but you’re within a comfortable walk or short ride to key spots, plus there are eateries nearby that aren’t overhyped tourist traps.
Room and comfort
- The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board.
- Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking.
- Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable dropping your gear and not worrying about dirt or mess.
Service
- Front desk and staff: Friendly and helpful. They stood by for recommendations on dining and local spots without turning the conversation into a sales pitch. When I asked for directions or a printout of an itinerary, they were efficient and patient.
- Housekeeping: Prompt and discreet. No intrusions at odd hours, which I appreciated.
