For the location, we didn’t mind the overall quality being perhaps a little lower than we would have liked. For example, there were a couple of bugs in the room at various points (not bed bugs), no early check in available and to use the shared bathroom you had to take a card to turn on the lights. Also note - it’s a hotel that asks you to leave your key at reception when you go out which is worth bearing in mind if that’s not something you’re comfortable with. Just little things that were made up for by the near central location (walkable to the acropolis and more), price, fridge and sink in room, and friendly staff.
Our first night stay was acceptable although the room was very short of supplied coffee making items which in turn forced us to visit the cafe who charged us €8 euros a time for a small coffee - but then the worst of all was when we learned of our cancelled cruise the day after, which meant we had to stay an extra night while we organised our change of plans, meanwhile the hotel got news of this and cashed in on people’s misery by increasing the room rates by a massive 75%, which we found despicable to be honest and a second night confirmed the hotels policy IMO of seemingly driving guests towards spending as much as management can extract all hidden behind a big smile of course
Very disappointed with our stay overall and would advise anyone staying to avoid the hotels restaurant or cafe and walk across the road to the airport, where food is available not only in plentiful of choice and better quality - but at a fraction of the price of this greed based establishment under the name of Sofitel - Shame on the Hotel IMO

It was hard to sleep the first day of arrival, Saturday unfortunately, even until 5 am because of the nightclub nearby, which I was not aware of beforehand. Except for this incident, almost everything was alright and nice, especially services, room service, and receptionists to manage smoothly and helpful. Staff kindly helped me to provide private tours and go out at any time I requested.

I booked this hotel again because my previous stay was excellent. It's one of the few hotels on the island with a great environment. I'll definitely book it next time, and my friends also really liked it. The facilities are relatively new, it's close to the office, and transportation is convenient.
Modern, neat and clean hotel. Very decent sized rooms and well equipped with everything that you would need. Free pickups to and from the airport.
Location wise. Apart from the proximity of the airport, there is nothing that you can do around here. Everything is about 25 minutes away towards the city.
Food at the restaurant is as good but the chicken breast that we ordered was very dry and as it got colder, it started getting stringy. Fish and chips was good.
In the room, mini bar, tea and coffee and good amenities. The shower is placed in an odd place being across the bath tub so it was a bit confined. Apart from that, all was as good as it gets.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting for a short stay or transferring.
Best value for summer and a great rooftop bar at night. Rooftop should be open all the time not just night and should be used for outdoor yoga and massage
As breeze
Extremely hot to travel there in June
Best times later in season say 0ct
We were really excited. The room was super clean. All you need is available. Even a microwave, a stick and iron, coffee ped masks, water cookers, cooking plates and cookers ect. The little welcome present has surprised us in particular.
The location is also perfect. A small park is opposite and left there are restaurants that are really recommendable. In the underlying stall there are (taxable) parking facilities.
The port is just a few minutes walk.
Simplely a perfect accommodation 🤣

Aile olarak gittik ve yaş ortalaması yüksek bir grup olmasına rağmen herkes çok memnun kaldı. Odaları çok temiz. Her gün havlular değişti oda temizlendi.
Traveling from London with a 19-hour layover in Athens, I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM and had a flight to Shanghai the next day at 1 PM. I chose this hotel primarily for its excellent location, being very close to the Acropolis and within walking distance. Even with a short layover, I could easily fit in a half-day tour of the Acropolis the next morning. The overall check-in process was smooth, and it was a perfect choice for an overnight stopover to explore Athens.
This place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example). The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible. Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log. Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense. Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.
We had a wonderful stay. Excellent host even started a fire in their fireplace for us while offering us a small jug of wine. The location is really on the “country” surrounded by olive trees and vineyards and a 800 year old small chapel directly opposite. Beds were comfortable and they’re pet friendly too even providing a dog bed for our pup. Shuttle to airport can be arranged by your hostess. It takes about 10 minutes to the airport. Overall would definitely stay here again.
Excellent rooftop area with restaurant, bar and pool with magnificient views. Breakfast was very good as well. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and my request for a room with a view to the plaza was catered for. I can definitely recommend this hotel.
This gem of a hotel in the port is fantastic. Tasteful furnished, roomy and very clean it has everything you need to a stay before boarding a cruise. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly and were checked in in no time. The WiFi is free and fast and the included buffet breakfast was very welcome. I would certainly stay again if I was boarding a cruise which is just a short walk away.
7.5/10 Location: Outside of “central” Athens but easily connected by metro & buses. Kifisia is gorgeous, safe, filled with high end boutiques, restaurants + cafes. Room/Ambience: Hotel itself is stunning + very relaxing vibe. Decor details incredible as expected of a boutique hotel of this nature. Food: Very good selection of hot + cold, plus actual barista coffee. Do not expect American style breakfast - this is Europe after all. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the menus looked great and was filled with locals in the evening. Service: Although reception staff were sufficiently friendly, service very lacking for a high end boutique hotel. It was 26 degrees celsius every day while in Athens. Not prior to our stay, nor during check-in did anyone advise us that the pool was closed likely until end of May. This is not advertised on any booking platform, or on the hotel website, which was very disappointing. We sat in the pool lounge chairs for over two hours (staff saw us as the restaurant is immediately adjacent). Nobody offered us pool towels to lie on, or if we wanted to order any drinks or food. My partner had to get dressed, go to reception and ask. They didn’t even offer to clean the pool given the hot weather made it ready for use. It really put a downer on our stay, and why we opted not to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Similar experience at breakfast; nobody offered us coffee orders, we heard someone else order and realised it was available.
I stayed in a single room on floor 4. The room was clean and had a window. The windows opened. There was a new fridge in the room that was fantastic and I was able to have ice cold drinks. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and linens provided. The cleaner was very nice. There was enough room for all my bags, it was snug but very good for the price. I ate breakfast every morning. It was a really nice breakfast room. The breakfast is basic but everything is very fresh and nicely presented. Floor 1 had a strong scent of tobacco and I assumed it was the smoking floor. Floor 4 where I stayed was very quiet and I didn’t smell smoke at all. As a non smoking so traveller I have to have theses needs met! The reception staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is central it’s only a 20 min walk to all the Athens highlights. It’s a great walk too! Lots of interesting shops! The Archeological museum is only a short walk from the hotel so well placed. The train station main line is only 15 min walk too. There’s a great place to have a full dinner just round the corner for around 12 euros which is great value. I loved the shopping in the area. A very comfy stay I would definitely come back. As a solo female traveller I felt quite safe at the hotel. It is a basic clean hotel and at a budget price. The images attached are of the things mentioned including pictures of the room.
Athens Airport has long been my gateway between Ireland and Israel, and Sofitel is the only real comfortable option for an overnight layover. The location is unbeatable — you just walk out of the terminal, cross three zebra crossings, and you’re in the lobby. The hotel is definitely 5-star and feels it in cleanliness and comfort. The room was spotless and quiet, and I appreciated the complimentary coffee and water. However, prices are steep. Normally it’s around €400 per night for two adults and a child, though I managed to book midweek for about half that. Still expensive, but I wanted comfort — and got it. The booking didn’t clearly confirm if an extra bed was included for my child, and neither Trip nor the hotel replied to my message, though we did get the bed in the end without extra charge. Breakfast is not included in the high price, and €30 per person felt excessive, so we skipped it. Also, food options are overpriced — €22 for a “Greek salad” that oddly came with ricotta. We ended up getting Burger King from the terminal, much better value. The indoor pool was clean but the water was colder than expected and the size modest. The shower had fluctuating warm water, a small annoyance but tolerable for one night. Overall: great convenience and comfort for an airport hotel, but pricing for food and extras feels unreasonable.
We stayed post-celestyal cruise. The view from the rooftop restaurant was great. The food was excellent, including staff interactions. Very patient. Answering whatever questions we had even seeking out the answers if they didn't know. I can't stop talking about the Sunday breakfast spread. Well laid out, variety, freshness was awesome.
