I really need to complain about the cleanliness. This hotel had four pillows for two beds, and one of them actually had urine stains on it! It smelled strongly of urine. I went to the front desk to ask for a replacement, but it never came, so I just threw it on the floor – it was unusable! Also, the water quality at the hotel was really bad. I brought my own filter faucet, and the filter element ended up black. I'm so glad I used it! They saw I was staying with a child for two nights, but didn't offer any extra slippers or toothbrushes, which other hotels usually do proactively. Furthermore, our room was on the 7th floor, and it happened to be a Sunday. From 4 or 5 AM, there were prayers, which were extremely loud and made it impossible to sleep. I asked the front desk to change rooms, but they said all the suitable rooms were full and there was nothing they could do. In the end, we had to endure it for two nights. 😓 On the positive side, the hotel's buffet was quite good. There were also some local specialty snacks that I tried. And the swimming pool was an infinity pool with a nice view. However, it was mostly local children swimming, so the adults didn't go in. The gym was also very well-equipped. It was very convenient and close to the largest shopping mall in Surabaya. Downstairs was also a pedestrian street. After dark, there were many places to eat, as well as cafes and bars. It was a nice area to explore. Overall, it was barely acceptable, but some basic standards should be upheld. Urine stains on a pillow are simply unacceptable; it definitely means the pillowcase wasn't changed! I hope the hotel can improve.

This is my second stay here, and I absolutely loved all the friendly staff. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll request a room on the 17th floor. This room is perfectly fine if you're just looking for a place to rest.

Our second stay at Platinum Hotel Tunjungan was once again a pleasant experience. We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Puteri at reception, who remembered us from our previous visit—this personal touch made us feel truly valued. We were happy to receive a room upgrade, and overall, the room was comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of options. The bellboy was also very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. There are a few areas that could be improved. The internet connection was quite slow, the room is not fully soundproof, and the bath towels could be upgraded. However, we really loved the pillows—they were extremely comfortable and made our sleep very restful. Overall, we had a great stay and would consider returning again.

Nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Attached to the mall, so very convenient. However I think it shares the same restaurant with Westin during breakfast, so bit crowded.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Swiss-Belinn Tunjungan Surabaya. All the staff members at the hotel were approachable, professional, and accommodating. I would have been more satisfied if the floor in the shower booth was more clean, but I say this only to nitpick at what little problem they might have there. On the flip side, from airport pick up service to room cleaning, laundry service, or receptionist’s customer engagement were very professional. I would not only recommend the place to those who want to visit Surabaya, bur I myself would use this place again.

To our pleasant surprise, the team offered us an early check-in without hesitation — a gesture that felt like an unexpected upgrade to our entire day. It’s the little things that truly make a big difference. We stayed in a Standard Deluxe room, and it was more than spacious enough for the both of us. Comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, it provided exactly the kind of restful environment we needed. It’s always a good sign when you enter the room and immediately feel like you can take a nap without questioning your life choices. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The spread was impressive, offering a good mix of local dishes, international options, and even Japanese selections. From savoury bites to sweet treats, there was something for every mood and every appetite. If breakfast is the “make or break” of a hotel stay, then this hotel definitely understood the assignment. I would also like to give a special mention to Rusli at the reception. His warm hospitality and professionalism helped set the tone for our stay right from the moment we stepped in. Another heartfelt shout-out goes to Igrima from the restaurant. Although she is still a trainee, her dedication, attentiveness, and genuine passion for service shone through clearly. She handled her duties with the confidence of someone who has worked in the industry for years — a true rising star in the team. Overall, our stay was memorable, comfortable, and pleasantly seamless. With consistent service and thoughtful touches like these, I’m confident that our third stay is not just likely — it’s inevitable. We’ll definitely be back again!

The hotel is at a place quite convenient and quiet. We got to see the fireworks of the entire cbd. The room is quite spacious and clean. There are malls and cafes nearby.

I had a wonderful experience at the Four Seasons by Sheraton. The location is perfect for tourists — there’s a large shopping mall right next door, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. A lively tourist street is also just a short walk away, so there’s always something to explore. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, this hotel offers great comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city on the bustling Tunjungan Street, with restaurants, malls, and convenience stores all around – super convenient! It's a century-old building with a lot of character, definitely worth taking some photos. The room itself is quite spacious, but the facilities are a bit dated. It doesn't affect usability, though. Being an old building, it naturally feels cool; even without AC at night, it was quite chilly. Also, the slippers provided have very thin soles, so I recommend bringing your own. Service was excellent. We had to leave at 5:30 AM on our departure day, and after informing the front desk in advance, they kindly prepared breakfast boxes for us.
