They offer a free shuttle bus from Sapporo Station, which I highly recommend taking, especially if you have luggage, as public buses might be difficult to board. The foreign staff at the front desk spoke excellent English! The hotel itself is quite spacious with a retro vibe. You can easily walk to the city center in about 20 minutes or take a few bus stops. For airport transfers, the airport shuttle picks up right outside the hotel, which is super convenient.

This was my third stay, and I chose this hotel again because my previous two experiences were so good. However, this time was truly unacceptable. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM. My daughter had injured her leg while skiing, so we asked the middle-aged woman at check-in if we could check in early. She said yes, but we'd have to pay for an additional day – what a rip-off! The funny thing is, they told us we could wait in the lobby until 3 PM without paying. The lobby was nice, so we decided to wait there instead of wasting about 1700 RMB. But then, to our surprise, we saw the staff taking our luggage and other belongings to our room much earlier, while we weren't allowed to enter. Crazy! On top of that, the Wi-Fi signal this time was incredibly poor, almost unusable. Reporting it to the hotel didn't help either; we had to use our own data. So, this stay was truly, truly, truly disappointing! Attached is a photo of my daughter in a wheelchair, and they still wouldn't let us check in early. That middle-aged woman was so inhumane!

This hotel, nestled in Nakajima Park, is truly perfect for families with kids. The area is so peaceful and safe. Right outside, there's a Lawson convenience store and an amazing BBQ restaurant (charcoal-grilled meat) – absolutely delicious! My child loved Nakajima Park so much, they didn't want to leave. It's ideal for a stroll with the little ones. If we weren't heading to Jozankei, I'd definitely want to stay here for a few more nights. The breakfast was also excellent, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view of the snowy park. After breakfast, a walk in the park was lovely, and there's even a popular cafe nearby. This is exactly what Hokkaido should feel like!

For Japan, the room is quite spacious and the price is excellent. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, making this hotel a great value for money for a city trip. The large public bath on the second floor is a real plus – it's incredibly comfortable to soak away your fatigue after a day of walking. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit of a walk, about 10 minutes, from the subway station. However, it's very convenient for accessing the shopping area near the station.

The triple room was a bit cramped, but with some clever rearranging, it worked out great. The bathroom's odor extraction and dehumidifying features were surprisingly powerful, and I have no idea how they managed it since there's no visible switch or noise. Every day, I'd head to the second-floor hot spring bath; it was so relaxing and never crowded. Just remember to bring your room key to scan for entry. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from Hokkaido University, offering beautiful and pleasant views. We even found a university supermarket next to the campus cafeteria with delightful prices for souvenirs and food, where I snagged some limited-edition Sapporo Agricultural College egg tarts! The hotel's surroundings offer excellent transportation links; it's less than a ten-minute walk to the JR station's North Exit and Daimaru Department Store.

This hotel is super convenient, right above Sapporo JR Station. The room was surprisingly spacious; we could easily open two large suitcases. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with a separate tub and shower. The spa on the 22nd floor with its hot springs is highly recommended! We didn't even use the shower or tub in our room because we spent all our time at the hot springs, and hotel guests even get a discount. The views were fantastic too. The room I requested exceeded my expectations. This is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Sapporo. The service is excellent, and it's incredibly handy for catching the subway or JR trains.

This hotel seems quite popular with Chinese tourists. Sitting in the lobby, I almost felt like I was back home, it was so noisy – probably all tour groups. The room was really small, and the heating was turned up way too high. The facilities are a bit old-fashioned. The window was surprisingly large, which is rare for Japan. Breakfast didn't offer much variety and the taste was just so-so. Overall, it was an average experience.

A very comfortable stay and one I would happily return to on a future trip to Sapporo. The room was spacious by Japanese hotel standards, well maintained, and had a grand feel without being overly luxurious. After long days of sightseeing, it was a pleasant place to return to and rest. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Sapporo Station while still being quiet and convenient. What really stood out was the practicality of the hotel. The airport limousine bus stops here, making arrivals and departures very easy. There are also luggage lockers available, and Yamato luggage delivery services can be arranged from the hotel. A small tip: if you're planning to use Yamato luggage delivery, do take note of the cut-off times and delivery schedules, as they may affect your travel plans. Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and reliable base for exploring Sapporo and the surrounding areas. I would definitely stay here again by next week.

An absolutely perfect experience! This hotel, built in 1934, is nearly a century old and exudes a profound sense of history with its distinctive Japanese-Western old money charm. The lobby and public areas are understated yet sophisticated, with exquisite attention to detail. The room was impeccably maintained and felt brand new, not at all dated. Even the bathroom facilities, like the drainage and ventilation, were modern and completely odor-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, showcasing traditional Japanese hospitality at every turn. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned a large Hollywood Twin room in the East Wing – a spacious 40 square meters, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two snowboards with plenty of room to spare. A delightful surprise at night was catching a glimpse of Sapporo Tower from our window. The twinkling tower lights paired with falling snowflakes created a truly romantic scene. The breakfast was excellent, easily on par with some of the best hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido, offering everything you could want. A special shout-out to the apple pie for dessert – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay. We hope to visit again someday!

LLiduoxiliaolinuolisiI'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

นักเดินทางอินโทรเวิร์ตThe accommodation is much better than I thought. We went in the winter and the snow was really thick. The villa has 2 floors. The ground floor has a kitchen, a dining area, and a backyard area. The upper floor is a bedroom with a large window for sleeping and watching the snow. If you go in the winter, you have to push your luggage in a cart yourself. It's fun. The atmosphere around the accommodation is good, but it's more suitable for people with cars because it's quite far from the city.

AAhmad MostafaAfter spending six days in MGallery Hotel Sapporo, I can safely say this is not an ordinary hotel. Reception at 5 pm was professional, efficient and friendly. I didn’t have to wait. Well done. Takako and Cindy provided a warm, informative and professional service. The concierge was helpful and welcoming. Very useful in a freezing outdoor climate - thank you Alex.  My room was as requested, 524. I booked a king room and it met my expectations. The design is lovely.  The bathroom is not huge, but is well appointed with a bath and a separate shower. The room is very quiet and I had a very pleasant sleeping experience.  The hotel and my room are in excellent condition, with a high standard of decor and presentation. Clearly recently renovated. The design is first class. It combines a beautiful Japanese style, with classical and traditional designs. The result is very pleasant - Chic! WiFi worked well. The room airconditioning was a little too hot for me, so I turned it off, and that was fine for me. The two guest’s lifts are fast and worked well over the six floors.  House keeping is also of a high standard as you would expect from a high end Accor hotel. This is especially so in Japan where service is an art form.  I had access to the executive lounge.  It was a good experience. It provides a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, and the food quality is nice. The chefs are friendly and caring, thank you James. The lounge staff are first class. Thank you very much to Yokiku, Kaumini and chief Minoru for your attentive and excellent service. I appreciated your kind service.  The only negative I am sorry to say is the occasional noisy foreigners who don’t appreciate the quiet, polite, refined and subtle Japanese culture.  The location is convenient, and is about 15 minutes easy walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc, but rather the city landscape. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to a variety of wonderful shopping areas.  Additionally, there are major shopping malls in the Shinkansen station area. Nearby, you can find many restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food.  Taxies are available at the hotel entrance. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples, museums and regional attractions. Ms Takako provided excellent suggestions.  To be fair, I read the Hotel’s web reviews. I noticed that the negative comments were from years ago, before the hotel became an Accor hotel two years ago. I noticed most of the more recent reviews are positive.  A special thank you to all the other warm staff for their excellent and polite hospitality. Having experienced hotels in every continent, this one stands out. The service and attention to detail is in a class of its own. Clearly, this is a special Hotel - undoubtedly, due to the hotel’s leadership.   Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the General Manager, Mr Ted Kitahara, and his management team. Mr Ted introduced himself to me by chance. He made me feel very welcome, and was most kind to enlighten me about the hotel’s design and its interesting history. I hope to meet the Japanese architect one day! Overall, an extremely pleasant and first-class experience. I look forward to visiting again.  Thank you for a wonderful experience.

GGuest UserKudos to this hotel. My stay there was amazing. The hotel is close to streetcar station, but during winter it still pretty challenging to pull your luggage. That is expected situation for any hotel in Hokkaido 😆. The receptionist was really helpful. She help to call taxi for me when I don’t know how to do so.

GGuest UserThe hotel management is really poor. The public hot spring always has a sticky film on top, and there were foreign objects in the large pool where people lie down, almost cutting my skin. The worst part is that these things can't be removed. The day after soaking, my feet were incredibly itchy, probably due to a fungal infection. People with tattoos and whatnot were also soaking, and no one seemed to care. At 9 AM, staff members were walking around the hot spring area in outdoor snow boots, which was absolutely disgusting. And the funniest thing is, you have to take off your shoes when entering this hotel, and you're not allowed to wear slippers inside the entire hotel. I won't even mention the insufficient floor heating; walk around in socks for a bit, and white socks turn grey. Luggage can be wheeled through freely, so just imagine how dirty it must be. The dinner buffet was mediocre. I ordered a glass of red wine and had a headache all day afterward. The breakfast buffet the next day, however, was decent. I probably won't go back and hope they seriously improve their management. Don't tarnish the Tsuruga brand.

GGuest UserLoved that the hotel allows guests with tattoo to use the onsen though this wasn’t made known explicitly with written signs. Hotel was located at the end of Tanukoji so it’s a distance from the main area although still walkable. Note that the bathroom doesn’t have a space to put your dry clothes and you will have to wear it outside unless you do not mind the bottom of your pants getting wet. Not very convenient for mix gender groups even though there’s a blind you can draw but still be visible from the mirror reflection. Room was located in the annex building which has alot of stairs so not that convenient for elderlies too. Overall, decent hotel but recommended only if you have no issues walking or are driving.

YYing, StaceyThe staff at Park Hyatt are incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The front desk ladies are not only beautiful but also very meticulous and considerate, especially kind and warm towards children. This time, I'd like to extend a special thanks to the hotel's reservations department for taking care of a returning guest like me by promptly upgrading our room, which made our trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's ski valet is a major reason why we ski here; it saves so much effort when you're tired from skiing. Last year, I remember there were enthusiastic staff members who helped with putting on and taking off ski boots; it seems that service isn't available this year. It would be even better if it were! 😄 Thank you! 🙏

HHunhundidiI stayed in a standard room. It was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Although this room type didn't have a bathtub, the hotel's onsen (hot spring) was more than enough to enjoy. It was easily accessible and never too crowded, so I could really relax. The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, about a five-minute walk, and there's a convenience store within five minutes, which is handy. They also offer a free shuttle bus to various Hakodate attractions, which was incredibly convenient. Service: I arrived very late, but the front desk staff were still incredibly warm and welcoming, providing lots of helpful tips and information. Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came to clean it every day.

The room was clean and well maintained, and the onsen was very nice and relaxing after a long day. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
