The hotel is located on top of a hill overlooking Mount Fuji and Lake Yamanaka. The views from the rooms and onsite onsens all have a view of Mount Fuji. It's honestly unbeatable.
We like the traditional Japanese room experience. The bed is very comfortable.
The indoor onsen is okay. The outdoor onsen condition is not very nice and quite small.
Their restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the food a lot. Definitely to book a night with set dinner. Very friendly staffs.
Honestly cleanliness wise, -1 for it being just a little dusty floor (but you have slippers) and you may see the wood furnitures has some scratches due to age but otherwise you can expect a clean space 😁 location is about 10 min walk to bus station, Lawson and theme park. Has shuttle bus service to Fujikyu Highland Bus station & vice versa, so you don't need to go through other transportation hassle with your luggage.
Service is impeccable with all friendly smiles and attention whenever they see you at their main service centre in the property. Every villa has rooftop full Mt Fuji view but if you want window Fuji view from inside your villa that will see your luck as you may be blocked by other villas. Nevertheless would recommend staying here for any family or group of friends. Decent facility to stay in and not go anywhere in Kawaguchiko too.
Picture of rooftop view and around villa walkway.
The most stunning thing about this hotel is the incredible view of Mount Fuji right from your window. Pulling back the curtains for the first time was truly breathtaking! I highly recommend waking up early and also checking it out in the afternoon, as it's pitch black at night and you can't see the mountain at all.
The service was excellent. The staff were proactive in helping us book restaurants, which was a huge convenience. The room size was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, and the bedding and bathroom were spotlessly clean – very comfortable to stay in.
The onsen (hot spring) was generally decent; both the water quality and environment were clean. The outdoor bath (rotenburo) can get a bit windy, making your head feel a little cold. The hotel has a buffet restaurant, but the food options seemed pretty basic, so we didn't try it this time. Overall, it offers good value for money, and the Mount Fuji view alone makes it well worth the stay.
How to put it? Among all the hot spring hotels I've stayed at, this one is pretty average. Perhaps because it's located in a tourist spot, there are many visitors from various countries. The highlight was the freshly cooked individual rice portions for dinner. The hot springs were a bit underwhelming, and I could sense the hotel management's struggles.
The hotel staff provided excellent service, even offering a hand-drawn map for reference. The location is incredibly convenient; whether you're coming from Gotemba Premium Outlets or taking a bus to Tokyo, you can board right at the hotel entrance.
We were lucky enough to have a view of Mount Fuji from our room, which my friends absolutely loved for taking photos.
The front desk staff spoke good English, so communication was seamless.
The 150 JPY per person hot spring bath was an amazing value! On a weekday evening, it wasn't crowded at all, and it even had an outdoor bath. I imagine it would be absolutely beautiful if it were snowing.
Just stayed for one night to see Mt. Fuji and Iyashi no Sati. Wish we stayed for more! The location is great, very close to Kawaguchiko Station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean, has tatami, and also has futons (besides the beds). Our room is directly facing towards Mt. Fuji, but the neighbouring building blocked it so only the tip is visible. We went in winter so there weren't many flowers in the garden. But they have a specific spot within the resort to see Mt. Fuji clearly. There are also plenty of local restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Will definitely come here again!
I had to change my reservation which is not usual for me and I changed room in different nights but the hotel is very nice, Kofu is lovely and if you want to relax, the onsen is perfect. The onsen being the main thing, I’ve done a few hotels like this one and it’s always a pleasure, you go straight from your room with your towel, no need to ask anything or see many people, the hours are great since it’s open all night until 10am so you can have a last time before check out.
This hotel offers great value for money. The room was extremely clean and tidy, and the surroundings were quiet and beautiful. It's quite convenient to get to, with a bus stop near Lake Yamanaka. Nearby, there are also attractions like sightseeing cruises and a spot to feed swans. The room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, making it easy to heat up food. We accidentally left our charger in the room when we checked out, and we're very grateful to the hotel staff for helping to mail it back to us.
The room was super small, the bed was small, and there was a bed. But the facilities are complete, the service is very good, and the breakfast is delicious. There is a supermarket nearby and there are many restaurants, which is very convenient. Recommended stay

GGuest UserFor any Yuru Camp anime fans, if you also are interested in an Onsen experience this is the perfect place. The facilities and staff are amazing! I couldn't believe the size of my room, especially after coming from a business hotel in Tokyo. I thought Deluxe Twin was just the ”deluxe” version of a standard single twin size bed room instead of two twin beds but there are no complaints.
Given it's more remote location I was expecting zero English but I was so surprised at how well some of the staff spoke English and had print outs for English speakers. I have to shout out two staff members, Nozomi and Joon Bae's english combined with my limited and grammatically atrocious Japanese they went above and beyond making me understand how everything worked as well as assisting me with my ventures outside of the onsen. They have two e-bikes available for rent which I rode to the next station on the minobu line so I could visit the school that was used in the anime as well as get a taxi to take me to Lake Shibere, from episodes 6 and 7 of season one.
It was my first time in Japan, being the only foreigner at the hotel for the two full days, I only visited the baths once however the facilities are amazing and I plan on going back to use the Onsen more.
AAnonymous UserWe were very satisfied with our stay this time.
Both the environment and the cabin were wonderful and very comfortable.
We would suggest placing the instruction manual on the round table right at the entrance, as it would be easier for guests to notice it there.
We booked for four people, but only two sets of amenities were provided.
Other than that, everything was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay!
DD2KI had a great stay at Toyoko Inn near Fujisan. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were polite and helpful, and the location is convenient if you’re planning to explore the area around Mt. Fuji. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety, which was a nice way to start the day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a simple, clean, and hassle-free stay in the area. There is also a mag lev museum nearby that you can visit if you’re interested with trains ☺️
GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at SANU, and I absolutely loved it. It's nestled in a forest, surrounded by nature, so I was a bit worried about cell service, but it turned out to be incredibly peaceful. Cooking while listening to my favorite music, waking up early to step out onto the terrace and listen to the sounds of nature – these were special experiences I could never have in the city. It was an experience that makes me want to go back again.
GGuest UserThe room is very large, fully equipped, and clean. The hotel environment is good. The scenery outside the lobby and room windows is very beautiful. The open-air hot spring is also very beautiful. You can make a free reservation for half an hour for an independent outdoor open-air hot spring. Breakfast and dinner are both Japanese cuisine. The dishes are rich and taste good. The service is very enthusiastic. There is a shuttle bus at Minobu Station. It is a very good hot spring hotel.
KKwok WaiTsuru City is a 20-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchi. The hotel has a very good environment, the rooms are very tidy and clean, and they are cleaned every day. The hotel has a restaurant and a bath that you must try. The hotel has a large parking lot. There are many goods, food and drinks to choose from in the hotel lobby. There are drug stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurants within a ten-minute walk from the hotel.
GGuest UserI had to settle for a smoking room as it was the only one available. Unfortunately, everything – from the air conditioning to the futon – reeked of cigarette smoke. The smell was so strong that it even clung to me, which I found very unpleasant. Even though there was Febreze in the room and I sprayed it generously, the smoke odor was so pervasive that it simply wouldn't go away. It was truly disappointing.
GGuest UserThere are seven in front of the school as well, very comfortable, don't be afraid of being hungry. I will focus on driving to rest more. Let me tell you, don't adjust the air conditioner. I accidentally missed to adjust it. It's very cold. Haha.
GGuest UserThis hotel is coordinated by Ctrip. The boss can speak Chinese and helped us solve the problem of checking in at night as much as possible, and helped us book a taxi by phone for the next day.
This is a row of tent hotels, suitable for self-driving and local outings. The original intention of establishing it is probably to welcome locals to drive out for BBQ. Due to traffic reasons, it is not suitable for tourists. Tourists usually go to Kawaguchiko Town to see Mount Fuji.
Each tent is equipped with an independent BBQ area and matching stove. If you can use them, you will feel that the price/performance ratio is very high. But we are just tourists and have no use for it.
The boss's enthusiasm brought warmth to our group in a helpless night.
