The hotel has a modern feel despite its age, with swift check-in. My room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom provided hot water with excellent pressure. I particularly appreciated the comfortable pillows, available in both thin and thick options. It's a bustling hub in Kuantan, offering free parking and a shopping center nearby.
The hotel is right by the sea, so you can watch the sunrise from your bed. In the evening, when the tide is out, you can collect clams. The front desk service is excellent, and there's a swimming pool directly facing the ocean. Parking is free. The room is large, clean, and comfortable, and you can hear the sound of the waves while you sleep. The only minor drawback is that the towels and sheets are a bit old, but everything else is great.
We recently stayed at Hyatt Kuantan and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet the usual standards I associate with the Hyatt brand. While the property has a good location and overall potential, the hotel itself appears somewhat aged and clearly in need of refurbishment and modernization. The F&B offerings lacked creativity and refinement. The menu selection felt rather basic, and the presentation and variety did not reflect the elevated dining experience typically expected from Hyatt properties elsewhere. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and innovation. Front desk communication was another area of concern. Response time was slow, and coordination appeared inconsistent, resulting in unnecessary waiting and minor confusion during check-in and inquiries. Housekeeping standards were also below par — room upkeep felt average at best, with details that were not attended to carefully. Overall, while the hotel may still serve as a functional stay option in Kuantan, the level of hospitality and service fell short compared to other Hyatt properties I have experienced. With proper upgrades and service improvements, the hotel certainly has the potential to better align with Hyatt’s usual brand standards.
Room was new and clean, with a spacious balcony to dry the swimsuits. The beach was clean too.
Family-friendly resort. But there was a used diaper right at the kids pool on our first day :[
Towels facility is capped at 3 towels maximum per room, there were 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young kids).
Immediate payment for pool side F&B, no option to charge to room bill.
This hotel was newly refurbished so it still got a little smell of paint.
Overall, the service of the front office and f&b staff are friendly.
The cocktail selection is limited
We stayed at Chateau Spa, Bukit Tinggi for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind and celebrate a special occasion.
The room was clean, and the toilet was well kept, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff service was truly tip-top—everyone was attentive, caring, and clearly prioritised our wellbeing and comfort throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out.
As for the food, breakfast and the buffet were fine, but the à la carte meals for lunch and dinner were definitely worth the money. The portion sizes matched the price well, and there was a good variety of Western and Malay cuisine. We tried the Western dishes, including salmon and steak, and they were delicious.
The spa prices were affordable, though booking in advance is recommended. We visited during the last few days of December, and the weather was cold and lovely, adding to the overall relaxing experience. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration.
The location is just nice. Great scenary, not too cold but not hot. It's windy when we were there.
For me here one day trip is just enough as there is just a small area unless you want to stay for a night there.
The room was spacious but no carpet - cold for out feet. We got an upgrade room but unfortunately the elevator not working to the first floor, they apologized to use by giving 10% off for food to bought there.
Breakfast - we booked with breakfast , satisfied with many choices available and good taste too.
For the restaurant around there- not really satisfied as not so much choices plus pricy compared to the food served.
Brought my child to the rabbit farm and Japanese garden - it's free for those who stayed at the Colmar Tropicale.
The breakfast service needs improvement; preparation was quite slow, and the selection was limited. Additionally, the room & corridor areas feels dated due to the old carpeting. Replacing it with tiling would be a much cleaner and more modern choice....
I recently had the chance to stay at Adena Beach Resort, and honestly it turned out to be a really refreshing getaway.
The biggest highlight is definitely the private beach. Waking up to the sound of waves and being able to walk straight to the beach in the morning is something you don’t get everywhere. The beach was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a slow morning walk during sunrise.
The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with a relaxing view that makes you feel like you’re truly on a break from the city. The resort itself has a calm atmosphere — not overly crowded, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was the friendly and helpful staff. From check-in to check-out, the service felt warm and welcoming. Small gestures from the team really made the stay more pleasant.
If you’re looking for a quiet beach escape in Pahang, especially near Kuantan, Adena Beach Resort is definitely worth considering. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe, and just enjoy the sea breeze for a while.
Would definitely come back again for another short retreat.
The room is as what was advertised - body and hair shampoo provided. Room is clean. Towels are clean but you can see they are abit worn out. I am not complaining given the price we pay. There are 2 hotel reserved parking lots and we have been lucky to be able to utilise them while we were there for 3 days 2 nites stay. Staff are helpful. We stayed on level 2 - the highest level. However, on Sat night, very late at night, maybe in the wee hours, we could hear furnitures being moved and dragged above us. The hotel may want to avoid such furniture move during these hours so as not to disturb the sleeping time of their guests

GGuest UserHmm, how do I put this? At this price point, you can't expect top-notch service, ambiance, or facilities, but for what you pay, it's decent. The room did have a bit of a damp smell. I was shopping at the outlet mall for a long time, so I didn't want to stay up in the mountains and chose this cheaper hotel nearby. Since I was only there for a few hours at night, it didn't really matter. The room was surprisingly spacious, actually, very big. It had a living room and two bedrooms, but I was only traveling with one child, so I didn't even use the smaller room. The small room had no windows and was quite damp; it probably wouldn't be very comfortable to sleep in. However, the main room was perfectly fine – the bed was large, the room itself was big, and it even had an en-suite bathroom.
MMystery solvedThe stay was good, clean, and easy access to the mall, casino and sky avenue. However be prepared for a 100m run from the entrance to your hotel room, it is actually wide enough and quite a nice walk 🤭 staff were well trained and attentive to any needs or questions you may have, not sure what amenities the hotel has as there wasn’t any that had directional cues for guests, so I’m guessing there aren’t any? I may be wrong
LLV20The room is clean and spacious with comfy bed. They have heated pool too but if you ask me will i come again? the answer is probably No. Its not cold, not foggy. The hotel is located below gohtong jaya.
Reason: Parking is limited, to access the pool is like a maze, i was from wing D and going to the pool is so complicated. Small swimming pool and mostly pack. Breakfast was average, the dont have the special teh tarik that i usually get in other swiss garden hotel..The egg station has long queue.
What made me unhappy the most is they only provide one shower gel and when i called in to request for another, they did not bring it at all. Disappointed..
CCandace KWe were 2 adults and 3 children, staying in an apartment-style room. It was quite a distance from the check-in counter, so we had to drive. We were on the second floor, and there was no lift, so we had to use the stairs. When we returned at 11 PM, the stairwell was unlit, which could be particularly risky if you have elderly people or small children with you. The room had a damp smell, and toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided. More than half of the switches on the bedside tables were broken. For breakfast, by 9:30 AM, there was hardly any food left, and there were no staff to seat us. When my child pulled back the covers on their single bed, they felt itchy. Undeniably, the location is excellent, being close to Kea Farm.
WWanee ZulkifliMe and my husband booked this hotel for our staycation before Ramadan start. The price offer affordable with our budget since we went there during school holiday and CNY. We choose superior room which located in front of the pool. The resort are huge/big, a bit classic since the room interior quite oldies. I guess it's true this resort was build on 1987~ somewhere. The resorts well maintain, the staff are welcoming, polite, good PR with guests inquiries. The resort have great access to the beach that you may walk from the room/pool/restaurants. They have 2 pools, the one are surround by the villas/superior room and they have pool theme park (small theme park), require to wear the bands (will provide during check-in), the kids definitely enjoyed playing at the pool so do adults too. The other side of theme park pool, the have pool facing the beach and besids the restaurant, and of course their lifeguard always monitor the guests in pool area. There so many type of rooms you may choose in future. Furthermore, their breakfast menus are satisfied to enjoy, staff that always ready to clean up once guest finished their meal. Overall it's very comfy, nice and beautiful resort to choose for staycation/holiday. Definitely will come again in future.
AAnonymous UserVery very recomemded hotel at genting. Kiddos happy stay there. Feels so cold even without aircon 👍.
Very easy to find meals and thereare so many places with kids friendly, also shopping area. This is the real ”living on the cloud”🥰
GGuest UserThe unit is new, clean and spacious, especially suitable for families or group stays. Facilities are quite complete (kids play area, pool, etc.), and the view from the room is really nice. Location is also convenient with a covered walkway connecting towards Genting area
However, a few things to note: Check-in can be VERY slow during peak periods; Some guests reported hot water / water pressure inconsistency. Overall, it’s a comfortable and family-friendly stay, but service and maintenance still have room for improvement.
GGuest UserRoom is nicely decorated for kids, bringing holiday vibes. Room is clean, with 2 queen beds is just nice for families with children. Location is good, near the main attractions of Genting Highlands: theme parks, malls and restaurants.
AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had mixed experiences. On the plus side, the hotel's mountain-top location is unbeatable, with breathtaking views and a 15-20 minute drive to the theme park and Casino. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze.
However, I had some significant concerns with the hotel's facilities, which felt outdated and in need of maintenance. There is a swimming pool with warm water, but no hot water shower at changing room after you swim. It's not possible to shower there before you back to your hotel room. Cleanliness could also be improved too. The biggest headache was the parking - while it's free for hotel guests, the process of validating and exiting the car park was convoluted and stressful, especially during peak hours. I.e. every time you exit the car park, you need to validate your touch n go card at hotel lobby (tower 2) while car park is at tower 7. You have to take lift to level 3 to walk across skybridge and take lift again to collect your car. Don't forget you only have 20 min to exit the car park after validation. And the parking lots themselves were also cramped and challenging to navigate.
The hotel's layout, with multiple towers and levels, was confusing even for me, and I found myself getting lost daily. I e. Check in at tower 2, you may stay at tower 3, car park is at tower 7, and breakfast is at another tower. If you're comfortable with this, you might enjoy your stay, but I'd recommend exploring other options in Genting Highlands.
