The hotel is modern, well furnished and well maintained. The rooms are not large but it was certainly adequate for a single traveler. I had already eaten by the time I arrived but the menu looked very comprehensive and I noticed that the restaurant was well patronised. At my age it is always a struggle to manage hauling baggage up stairs but staff are always willing to assist. Got in late and left early. Met by the very friendly owner and shown to my room and the features were well explained. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed and the bed very comfortable. In spite of the motel being on the main road and me being in the room closest to the road I noticed little or no traffic noise.

This is a small place, don't make too many demands. The hotel is a super historic hotel, things are relatively old, don't mess it up. The food in their restaurant was adequate and the beer was, to my taste, bland and unexciting. Staying here is not a disaster, but nor is it memorable. For the amount they must make (the room was not inexpensive) they could and should do better. But I guess it is a captive market in season, and ”just about good enough” is all they need to bother with.

The Glacier Town is indeed a little small. There are signs on the roadside. Across the road from the turn is a gas station. The Lodge consists of a wooden house and an RV camp. The boss is a young girl who studied abroad a few years ago. I met two employees who were also Chinese. There was no language barrier at all when they spoke Chinese. There are two small supermarkets around, so it's okay to replenish food. It's nice to make breakfast with the food in the room. It feels good to stay here.

There were cute pictures in every room, and there were books in the common room, and some people were reading leisurely. I was alone in a five-person room, probably because I wasn't in my prime. The shower was hot, so I was warm.
