A true gem for our Qinhuangdao trip! The 270° panoramic windows bring the azure sea and sky right into the room. You can watch the sunrise from your bed, observe seagulls soaring over the waves, and in the evening, catch those romantic moments when the orange sunset paints the sea. Some room types even have private terraces, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with the sea breeze – it really enhances the vacation vibe. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, and it's only a 5-minute walk to Xianluo Island. They even provide free sand-digging tools, making it super convenient for families with kids. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the smart room controls are easy to use. The laundry room is available anytime, showing great attention to detail. It's also close to a food street, making everything from dining to transportation convenient. The value for money is exceptional, and it's definitely on our list for a second visit!

My preference of a hotel is a homely. Wouldn’t it wonderful if the hotel staff would treat their guests as a family? They missed on this aspect but kudos to all the staff who had tried their best to make us feel comfortable all throughout the stay. We all love the pool especially the heated one. I just think they’re too strict on wearing a swimming cap even if you’re just having a dip or hanging out in the heated pool. I’d totally understand it if it’s swimming but yeah it’s house rules I guess I just think it’s too much. Breakfast was great!

Traveling from Beijing North Station by train, you'll arrive at Chongli Station. From there, you can take the scenic shuttle bus or a taxi to the hotel; it's a short and convenient drive (but a bit far to walk if you have luggage). The room was clean and tidy, and the service was prompt and attentive. The gym and hot tubs offer excellent views of the ski slopes. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, catering to both northern and southern palates with options like fried dough sticks, soy milk, and tofu pudding, as well as beef vermicelli and rice noodles – all of high quality. You can ski in and ski out. The Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn are in the same building and share a ski lobby, which is a bit closer to the advanced slopes. The ski lobby has a variety of snacks, Costa Coffee, and BaWangChaJi, making it very convenient. Taking a taxi to the town at the foot of the mountain for dinner, you'll find an abundance of restaurants.

The hotel is very close to the ski slopes, just a few minutes' walk to Lift 9, or you can take a shuttle bus to the town center, which isn't far to walk either. Our family of four stayed in a family suite, which was very comfortable with two bedrooms and a living room, perfect for our needs. The room faced the ski resort, offering great views of the skiing action from the balcony – very pleasant. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful, giving us complimentary breakfast for two extra people. This stay was a fantastic experience, making for a perfect ski trip.

This downtown hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Our high-floor room offered amazing views, and the dedicated elevator meant no waiting. Just downstairs was a pedestrian street, with direct metro and bus access within a 5-minute walk. Plus, there's free parking for those driving – incredibly convenient for getting around. The bedding was just the right firmness, and breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western. They even had afternoon tea with exquisite desserts and drinks. The robot food delivery was fast and adorable, saving us the hassle of running errands and making our stay completely stress-free. The amenities were incredibly comprehensive: a 24-hour gym with equipment, and a laundry room equipped with dryers and detergent – super practical for long trips. From check-in at the front desk to responding to our requests, the staff were consistently warm, enthusiastic, and efficient, making the entire experience truly exceptional. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!

From the moment I checked in, I felt incredibly well-cared for. Ms. Mia Ruixue even helped me resolve a significant issue. The room design is excellent, with massive floor-to-ceiling windows, and the underfloor heating kept the entire space wonderfully warm. The bedding was also very comfortable. Whether you're looking to ski to your heart's content or simply unwind and relax in the mountains for a few days, this is an absolutely fantastic choice. I'm already planning to come back in the summer.

I stayed at the Wen'an Luneng Hilton Hotel during May Day. The climate in the park is very comfortable this season. There are still many play projects in the park. It is very suitable for children to play. I took children to play electric cruises, go-karts, and bonfire parties at night. It is very atmospheric! Manager Yuan also helped us prepare a lake view room, facing the lake, the scenery is super good! Due to the large number of guests during May 1st, the room attendant was also very hard and very helpful to help us clean the room quickly, so that we can move in quickly, and thank you very much for the room sister Lu Ailing and Liu Jingjing, and give you a thumbs up! The room was cleaned very clean! When the room was waiting, Manager Yuan took us to Linxuan to rest. Linxuan's little brother Zhang Kaixuan and Ma Xuan helped us make American coffee. The service was very polite and the service was very good! Overall, the hotel is very angry, the environment is very good, it is worth checking in again!

GGuest UserSimilar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!

GGuest UserLocation: Relatively superior. There is a river in front of the hotel, which is said to be the mother river of Chengde. It is very beautiful to take a walk at night and enjoy the night view. It's easy to walk to the summer resort. There is a supermarket next to it and a restaurant in the hotel. I eat three meals a day in the hotel. The dishes are rich and the prices are acceptable. I highly recommend it. Service: The smiling service at the front desk was very friendly and enthusiastic. The Chengde travel guide was clearly explained. If you don’t know the guide, just ask them directly. I told them the wifi password and phone number, and if I have anything to talk to the front desk. Room: Very clean, the quilt smells like sunshine, the bed is comfortable, I slept until dawn Parking: There is a parking lot and a responsible security guard. Environment: The hall is very elegant, beautiful, quiet and comfortable. It is really good to listen to piano music in the lounge hall. Overall: I am very satisfied with my stay. I will stay here again next time. I recommend it.

GGuest UserThe hotel is directly opposite the Bifengmen parking lot, and it's about a 20-minute walk to Lizheng Gate of the Mountain Resort. The quad room with bunk beds was very family-friendly for our family with two children. While the hotel's facilities are fairly basic, I must particularly praise their excellent 9.9 Mountain Resort day tour and the front desk staff. First, regarding the Mountain Resort day tour: it lasted a full 5 hours, and our guide, Xiao Qi, didn't waste a single minute. He provided thorough explanations, meticulously planned our route, and there were absolutely no sales pitches or additional charges. For such an honest and dedicated guide, the hotel deserves a huge commendation! And then there's the front desk staff – every single person was beaming with smiles. They offered detailed information, provided attentive service, and went above and beyond to assist with any request. They even helped us cut a watermelon we bought, booked tickets for a show, and thoughtfully provided cushions for us as we were heading out. Truly heartwarming service! Hidden gem: Just down the stairs next to the hotel is the Temple of Confucius. Plus, there's a highly popular lamb soup spot nearby, serving delicious *shaobing* (sesame flatbreads)!

TTommy ChawAt the beginning it is hard for me to choose even the review is positive, but when I arrive and check in, I totally change my view. The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here.

BBrettschneiderExcellent place to stay for a weekend getaway to the coutryside but not super far from BJ. It is located right in the exit of Xianghe west of 7th capital ring express. It only takes 50 minutes to drive from sanlitun in beijing. When I first enter the courtyard,I was so amazed by the nice cosy small courtyard which makes you feel at home.  All rooms are cosy and comfortable, located on the ground floor around the small garden with flowers.  Each room has air conditioning. The bathroom is clean with shower and towel. There is a washing machine in the living room as well.  Everything is super clean, the owner quickly responds if something is needed. Overall the day passed in a pleasant atmosphere :) I will certainly book again next time.BTW,there is a barbecue grill I will try :)  If you are specifically looking for such a place quiet and quaint. Absolutely recommendable!

IIionchickenThe room is clean and well-planned, perfect for a family of five. The owner is very friendly. We arrived 2 hours early and left 1 hour late without any extra charge. The indoor kitchen, laundry and other facilities are complete, which can meet the needs of guests who cook their own food. The underground parking space is free. The hotel can have breakfast, 98 yuan per person. In fact, it is more cost-effective to buy meals from the supermarket in advance and eat them in the room.

KKnufbergstravelThe Hotel is located at a busy central road. Lots of shops around and a good popular grocery store. The staff is welcoming and helpful as it can be. 5 stars. The room is small but okay. The bed is comfortable like most chinese beds. The bathroom is super tiny and had some plumbing problems also the grey water from the shower runs across the floor to the sink, bear in bind when you put dowm a towel for your feet. The light in all rooms is very dark and everything in the room was laying under a urine smell caused by the aircon. That's the reason we would not stay here again. The breakfast is great but the room is too small to fit all guests, so it gets super busy. Plus point: you can tale your bicycle to the rooms.

GGuest UserAranya is really nothing special. I feel like it's just good marketing. If you're not skiing, there's absolutely no point in coming here. And even if you're an excellent skier, it's still pointless. Before I came, I saw photos and thought there was a small ice rink, but when I arrived, I realized it was fake, no ice at all, just for taking pictures. Aranya is really for people who live for their social media. As for the hotel, the bathroom in our room was leaking, and as soon as you opened the door, there was a terrible smell, with no ventilation. The bathroom was also tiny. On the first day, we didn't get into our room until almost 3 PM. We were rushing to go skiing at 3, so I asked my family to grab the breakfast vouchers. For a two-night stay, they only gave us one double breakfast voucher. My family didn't notice it at the time and only realized it on the second day. I couldn't be bothered to argue about it. And breakfast was at another merchant's place, which was just too inconvenient. Even though we had a child with us, they didn't prepare any children's toiletries or slippers. Maybe it's because they're overwhelmed during peak season. I regret not booking the Courtyard; it probably would have been a bit better.

PPato LuI stayed at Yushe Hotel for two nights during my visit to Zhangjiakou and had a comfortable experience overall. The room was clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The hotel itself is in a convenient and accessible location, making it easy to get around the city. However, one downside is that there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance, so dining options nearby are quite limited. If you’re planning to stay here, I’d recommend either ordering delivery or being prepared to travel a bit for meals. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you prioritize cleanliness and location, but keep the limited nearby food options in mind.

VValentin VagabondThis is a nice and clean hotel close to restaurants and shops, and they accepted me as a foreigner without a problem. But it was the very first time on my two year long bicycle journey that I had to leave my bicycle outside the hotel in a car park. I know that China is a safe country, because there are security cameras everywhere, but if something happens to my bike, it might be the end of my journey. The other disturbing thing was that the staff was talking very loud in the corridor at 6.30 am and I couldn't get enough sleep. Please keep in mind that people want to rest and sleep .You can talk to each other in a more polite way.
