Guest UserI'd heard so many horror stories about staying in yurts on the grasslands before – no hot water, freezing cold at night, lots of bugs, etc. So I was always hesitant about visiting the grasslands! I saw good reviews for Huiteng Muge online and decided to give it a try, and it really exceeded my expectations! No false advertising here; the facilities are great, there was plenty of hot water for showers at night, the bedding was clean, and the dining experience at the restaurant was also good. To top it off, our child left her beloved toy bag at the hotel, and the owner kindly mailed it back to us, which made our child happy and able to enjoy the rest of our trip! In short, if you want to avoid a bad experience, this place is definitely okay!

YexilanI went to Xiangshawan with my kids and compared a few hotels. The other three were all-inclusive, but since my kids are older, they'd have to pay extra, and they weren't really interested in the activities at Xiansha Island, so I chose this one instead.
We drove to the Hualian Tourist Resort reception center to check in. After getting our wristbands and handing over our luggage to the staff, we took Cable Car No. 3 to the island. I added the butler on WeChat and contacted them after getting off the cable car to arrange a shuttle. The jeep shuttle drove quite fast, which the kids loved. They said our luggage would take 2-3 hours to arrive, but it actually came about half an hour after we got to our room.
Because I left a note when booking asking for a quiet room, we were assigned to Zone 3, which is quite far away. It was a bit of a walk in and out. I noticed most guests around us had kids; some played late into the night, others woke up early to play, so I guess no matter where you stay, it won't be perfectly quiet. The room facilities were pretty good, and the space was quite large. The bathroom was very similar to those in Japanese hotels. There was a wooden drying rack, which many people moved outside their doors to air-dry their swimsuits overnight.
The service was excellent. The WeChat butler answered all my questions promptly. The only issue was the light and noise affecting sleep; it was as bright as midday at 6 AM. Luckily, I had brought my own eye mask and earplugs.

On weekends, I made a special trip to check in the desert herdsman B&B with relatives and friends. The overall experience far exceeded expectations. I really recommend it! The small courtyard is very textured, the Chinese welcoming pine scenery is exquisite and elegant, and the private courtyard is particularly relaxing by sitting and drinking tea and chatting; The outdoor barbecue partition plan is very complete, there are both scattered tables suitable for small gatherings, and the greenhouse with rainproof ceiling can undertake group building dinners. The commercial oven is complete, and the self-service skewers and roast whole sheep are very convenient. The camping platform under the big tree is based on the native forest to cool, the Mongolian pattern decoration is very local regional characteristics, and the tent camping atmosphere is full. The store Qiao uses the well room as a net red punch point, and the auspicious copy is decorated with koi, and the film effect is excellent. The site is rooted in the countryside, backed by a corn field and protective forest, the environment is quiet and there is no noise in the city, the light pollution is low at night, and the starry sky can be seen clearly. The site is hygienic and well maintained, and the gravel paving and hardened floors are both beautiful and fireproof. The boss treats people warmly, the ingredients and equipment can be reserved in advance, short-distance outings in the suburbs, family dinners, company group building, camping and staying are all suitable, it is a rare treasure country homestay around Dalat Banner, the environment is elegant and original, the punch-in design is attentive, the service is intimate, Group building family outings are suitable for sanitary details, people can rest assured to use each facility. The room decoration is very new. The bedding and curtain colors are coordinated. The room is clean and bright. It looks very comfortable. The room is quiet and suitable for leisure and relaxation.

Here's the updated review with that additional context:
Full Version
We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good.
That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile.

Our group of road-tripping friends chose the Anda Inn, and it was a great choice. The courtyard is spacious, so parking was absolutely stress-free. The rooms were meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on furniture edges, and the bathroom counter was spotless, free of water stains. During the day, the owner drove us around the grasslands for free, and we got significant discounts on all sorts of activities. In the evening, there was a bonfire, with all ingredients sourced locally from the pastoral areas. At night, we could lie back in our room and gaze at the starry sky. The relaxation and recovery experience far exceeded our expectations.

Guest UserThe existence of Dream Love Inn is full of charm. The house and the scenery blend naturally. Any photo you take is a masterpiece. The attentive butler service is perfect. The food is complete and delicious. When the entire grassland hostel was out of power, the service was thoughtful and orderly, allowing tourists to continue to enjoy the leisure of the holiday. Although it was an accident, it made people feel that the accident happened beautifully. Bicycles, lambs, Ponyo, chess games, each seemingly ordinary setting meets the children's entertainment needs, allowing adults to enjoy the tranquility while children will not feel bored. The service sister was very patient and coaxed my little brother to play happily. There are too many pictures, and dinner is accompanied by a good night sweet soup. A super five-star experience, I will continue to choose Dalezhiye

Specifically brought the kids here for Children's Day. The guesthouse environment is great, with a starry sky yurt and convenient parking. They even prepared snacks and drinks in the room. The surrounding area is beautiful and very close to the volcano attractions. The hotel also provided discount vouchers for hot spring tickets. Dining is convenient, and breakfast is excellent, with kids' meals available. On weekend evenings, they even arranged a bonfire and fireworks.

It was really convenient because it was close to the railway station. On the first day I went, I said ”I'll give you the biggest room” and they gave me a room twice as big as the one I booked. I had a comfortable stay in a big room for 2 days. The front desk was easy to find and explained everything without any misunderstandings. The view is beautiful!😀

TienneA comfortable stay in a great location, the yurts are located just a ten minute walk away from the ticket counter for the Dalinuoer Lake Scenic Area. It's a pretty small town, so it's also close to pretty much every restaurant. The boss is also very friendly, he answered all my questions and helped me with finding transportation.
The conditions of the yurt are actually quite good, there's a heating/air conditioning unit, which I used to keep cozy at night, and a full bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, hot water etc.). There's also a TV, a variety of charging cables, and free WiFi. The bed is massive, very comfortable and able to fit a family. Body wash, shampoo, hairdryer, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided.
For those who may be concerned about such things, it may be useful to note that the door locks from the inside using a deadbolt, and when you leave your yurt for the day you lock it from the outside with a padlock as there's no electronic lock or keycard. It didn't bother me and since the town is very small, I felt pretty safe.
As for cleanliness, for what it is (essentially a semi-permanent tent in the rural grasslands) it's very clean. There are vinyl floors and clean sheets, everything seems well maintained. Sometimes little critters like moths fly in, but this is glamping. Of course you shouldn't expect the same type of environment as a regular five star hotel.
Overall I had a wonderful experience here! Felt connected to nature while still enjoying my creature comforts.
