BibsCWithout a doubt, staying at the Kimpton Taipei was the best decision we made during our trip.
The location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks from the MRT, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. The level of hospitality feels more like that of an even higher-end luxury hotel. Every member of the team was consistently warm, professional, genuinely caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed.
We arrived after almost 24 hours of continuous travel, completely exhausted, and the staff went above and beyond to prepare the first available room for us so we could rest as soon as possible. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference and was something we’ll always remember.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with stylish interiors, incredibly comfortable rooms, and a wonderful atmosphere. We especially loved the complimentary afternoon wine and snacks, which were the perfect way to unwind after a full day of sightseeing. Even the little morning touches before breakfast made us feel incredibly well looked after.
What impressed us most is that the team never settles for simply meeting expectations—they consistently go the extra mile in every interaction.
We would return to Kimpton Taipei without hesitation, and it will absolutely be our first choice the next time we visit Taipei. Highly recommended.

ReretanzhenshufuThe hotel's service was absolutely amazing! Right from the booking, the owner set up a WeChat group and provided all sorts of thoughtful services. Not only did they recommend attractions, but they also suggested a car rental company. Driver Ouyang from the car company was super nice too. In the evenings, even after the driver had finished his shift, the hotel arranged for a car to pick us up from outside and bring us back.
The restaurant offered a complimentary drinks fridge, and shopping in the lobby was self-service, emphasizing trust and friendliness. So, for those who don't go to bed early, you don't have to worry about going hungry in the middle of the night.
Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. Because we had a last-minute change of plans and couldn't eat at the hotel, the owner packed it up for us to take away. They even helped us pick up our pre-ordered Jingcai buns.
Due to changes in the weather, we were promptly informed about the ferry schedule at the port. This trip to Kinmen, a lot of the positive emotional value came from this guesthouse. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit Kinmen!

teykimhongThe accommodations are comfortable and spacious. I really enjoyed staying here with my dad this time 💕
We were met by a friendly person upon arrival at the pier, which was very convenient for those with luggage. The shop also offers a wide range of services (diving, motorcycle and bicycle rentals 🚴, scuba diving 🤿, SUP, kayaking 🛶, and more). The service was excellent. The location is close to the DIY shop where the lady does her crafts, so you can walk there (remember to call her). Sometimes the shop is closed. There's no elevator 🛗, but the stairs are quite comfortable 😌.
More positives than negatives 👌
The negatives were that the boys in the next dorm were a bit noisy (but I still managed to sleep well).
I enjoyed the snorkeling 💕; the water is quite deep.

Had a fantastic experience! We really enjoyed the hotel's public pools, which offered a variety of temperatures. The 28-degree section was perfect for swimming. The in-room hot springs were also incredibly relaxing; the water stayed warm much longer than regular water. Plus, there were plenty of activities happening in the hotel lobby.

Anonymous UserA beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂
Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

Very close to the old town, so it's super convenient for shopping and eating. The information provided before check-in was incredibly helpful, especially regarding parking! The room itself was very spacious, and having two air conditioners was a pleasant surprise. The bed was just okay, but I personally prefer flatter pillows, so the ones in the room were a bit too high for me. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, which was a minor drawback.

The super impressive, high-ceilinged lounge with a high-power projector is almost too luxurious, it's over the top!
Having a courtyard, and comfortable, clean rooms with a small platform is also part of that over-the-top experience.
I met a few local and international friends while free diving here, and I genuinely loved it! 🥰
Oh no, my heart's already flown to Xiaoliuqiu!

Guest UserThe soundproofing in room 501 was terrible. The foreigners across the hall were so noisy and rowdy that I couldn't get any rest. At 10:40 PM, when it finally quieted down for a bit, I could clearly hear the beeping from the air conditioner next door, and then the noise continued late into the night. I was prepared for the hard bed, but not bringing slippers was a mistake. The water pressure in the sink was too strong, splashing everywhere, so I had to painstakingly use a tiny trickle of water each time. The only upside was the adjustable hot water in the shower (lucky, I guess?). For the price, this room really delivered, but one stay is enough for me. This time, I was here for the Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage in Beigang on April 16th to respectfully welcome the holy sedan. I hope this review offers some reference for fellow pilgrims and kind-hearted people.

Guest UserI booked this homestay last minute on my bike trip and it ended up being a great place! The six-person room was quite comfortable, all the beds have curtains which help with privacy. Public space with a kitchen table, water dispenser and other amenities. Good if you’re looking to stay near the train station.
