The young man at the front desk who checked me in seemed a bit cold and wasn't very enthusiastic or friendly. The location is quite easy to find, right on a corner by the main road, and it's close to the Second Market, so it's convenient for food and drinks. I had messaged beforehand hoping to be far from the elevator, but ended up being right in front of it. What was the point of my request then? Pros: The bathroom facilities in the room are all new, and it's very convenient to have outlets on both sides of the bed. There's a table and chairs, and a clothes rack, and the space is decent. The mattress was a bit soft for my liking. You have to find street parking yourself.

Stayed at Caesar for 5 nights over Christmas
Pros:
Location: right next to market, convenience stores, restaurants and opposite the beach and scooter rental
Staff: Super friendly
Breakfast buffet: Great selection
Free shuttle from Zuoying station (email 客務部_服務中心公用信箱)
Hotel just smells gorgeous. Rooms are lovely and clean and have balconies
Great pool with diving board and outdoor jacuzzi
Cons:
Very small - tiles could be replaced on the pool floor and outside could be painted but very minor.

Location is literally next to the train station but not at walkable distance from other main activities, and immediate surroundings not quite charming.
Self-service hotel however there is a front desk that is open 24/7
Convenient room, spacious enough, comfortable bedding and bathroom.
Sound insulation within the hotel not optimal (we could hear noise from neighboring rooms)

The B&B is about a 10-minute walk from the Hualien Transfer Station. The area is mainly homestays, with a 7-11, supermarket, and breakfast shop nearby. Several souvenir shops are also nearby, making it convenient for shopping. Buses run from the station to the airport, Qixingtan, Taroko, and other popular attractions.
Check-in was easy, and the host was quick to respond. There's an elevator and drinking water on the first floor. Shower gel and shampoo are provided in the room, and the hot water supply is stable and plentiful. However, the faucets are stagnant, so you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash cup. The TV offers a wide variety of channels, including YouTube.
The day after our stay, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake shook the entire bed, but the elevator was unaffected.

The triple room we were initially given was small and damp, with a strong musty smell. Even after running the air conditioning for an hour, it still reeked. We called the front desk to ask if we could switch rooms, and they were able to move us to a larger triple room with much better air quality. The front desk service was excellent, even though the room itself was a bit lacking, but for the price, it was acceptable.

A family of 5: the kids enjoyed the room with the slide v much. The 3 queen beds(2 on upper loft) and 1 on lower floor were very comfortable, pillows offered decent support. A fan was provided in room to circulate the air. Kids really enjoyed sliding down but sound proofing of the room not that thick so we were told that the kids were too noisy. The staff were v helpful with the carpark arrangement at a separate site, we didn’t have to worry abt getting a carpark lot on all 3 days.
Not so great: The Minsu’s toilet has no non-slip flooring or bathmats inside so hard to dry the toilet floor after a shower. Shampoo & body soap provided though. No shower curtains. Staff didn’t make up the room although we hung the tag to clean room. They did apologise when we asked abt it.
All in all, a restful stay, with good space for the family with our 2 luggages opened on the sofa. Would recommend if kids are young & would love the slide room. Walking distance to Luodong Night Market too.

We weren't informed before check-in that the public hot spring bath was undergoing maintenance. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule posted on-site didn't even match the actual situation, which was a real letdown. The complimentary bicycles were quite old and dilapidated, a slight minus. However, guests could sign up for the mochi pounding activity, and a buffet dinner was also available for an additional charge. These two aspects were quite good and added some positive points back.

A hybrid of motel-style themed suites (with garage, KTV, private pool, hot tub, rock bath) and business-style rooms (spacious, simple, modern).
Located in Nantun District, about a 10–12 min drive to Fengjia Night Market, National Taichung Theater, and Autumn Red Valley Park.
The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the facilities were great. There's a sauna and a swimming pool; kids can play in the water, and adults can relax in the sauna if they don't want to swim. You can also take a tram to explore the surrounding area. It's a great place to visit again! I hope I have the opportunity to come back next time.
Although the location is a bit far from the downtown area
But for a pet-friendly B&B, it is pretty clean.
Because the B&B is surrounded by farmland, there are indeed some small insects
But it won't have much impact
It's just that the high voltage electricity nearby makes people a little concerned.
The rooftop view is also nice
It's great that the B&B has an elevator

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

Outstanding
RRubyThe hotel is located in a very convenient spot with a cozy design. The pictures show a clean room.
The tiles in the bathroom - since they are all white - can seem a bit rusty and gives a feeling that's not very clean. The toilet area and the shower is separate (which is good) but can be tricky they share the same sliding door. The room is big and cozy.
The staff are very helpful and kind. Guests can borrow umbrellas from the hotel when it's raining outside. The social hour at the hotel also brings a warm feeling to visitor.

DDanieltrI loved my stay at Slack BnB. It is easy to find in the village. The facilities are very clean, everything is well-planned and guests have a lot of opportunities to rest. Very cosy Dorms with built-in Beds, which have a good quality. The guests are very respectful and quiet. There is a kitchen to provide food, slacklines in the garden, lots of space to hang out and a Beamer where you can watch YouTube etc.
The staff is very motivated to keep everything clean, this can be seen in various facets.
The staff and the owner are so helpful which I appreciated much. I can definitely recommend this hostel to everybody when visiting the island.
GGuest UserSuper recommended this hotel, you will come to the pier to pick you up to the hotel when you get off the bus. Everyone has a good attitude. We arrived at 3 pm very hot. The hotel brother is very sincere to stand on the side of the road and wait for us. Help us put our luggage on and off the bus and close the door. It takes ten minutes to drive to the hotel. The little brother also drove us around their hotel park. The environment is very comfortable and a lot of greenery. The front desk lady is also very beautiful and friendly. It will explain in detail how to use each area. The room is light and wooden. fragrant, very comfortable. There is breakfast service, breakfast is really very pleasant, Miss Sister said that they went to the hottest breakfast shop early in the morning to buy us, so we have eaten several recommended popular breakfasts at the same time, next time I bring my family to relax, More suitable for slow, not in a hurry, if the weather is not hot, I feel that I can stay in the hotel for a whole day. The whole experience is the best in Jinmen, because we are in the special forces in Jincheng District the next day, we still like it here. The hotel owner, including the little brother and sister, is very friendly. Your needs will be met as much as possible. There are pick-ups for playing in Jinhu. So I didn't rent an electric car on the first day.
KKoJustinFor the price I think it is a decent option. Air conditioning works and bed is fairly comfortable. No staff but check in process is fairly smooth, just FYI they will probably text you the password for the door so need to provide a phone number or contact them ahead of time. Location is about 20 minutes from the station and about 30-40 minutes walk from the famous ”brown road.” You can also borrow their bikes though I decided not to. The ”Tofu sheet' place is close by.
GGuest UserGreat stay just around the corner of the old street in Jiufen! Takes about 2 flights of stairs to reach the entrance so be aware before you book (as it would be hard to navigate with alot of luggage). Lovely home and very spacious! There is no actual stove or cooktop but they do have a food heating electrical system setup...i didnt use but it is available.
Highly recommend for the location and the peaceful vibes. Check in and out was super smooth!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, the homestay in the old street is very style, the environment is very comfortable, but the prescribed check-out time is too early and it is not convenient, but at least the luggage can be stored in the lobby. The room was very clean, the sound insulation was ordinary, and it was all luck to be noisy.
GGuest UserI came here on the third night after traveling around the island from Taipei, and I was full of praises! The room is clean, the bathroom and toilet are separated, which completely conquers my mysophobia!
The starry sky at night...is soothing to us who live a stressful life in Taipei on weekdays!
The whole push, push, push!
蜻蜻蜓飛舞Tonight I stayed at Qingjing Ai Li Jia B&B near the Little Swiss Garden of Qingjing Farm. It was my first time staying in a water pipe house. It was so cute😻 in the forest. The room was small but fully equipped. The only drawback was that there was no mirror😅. There was also floor heating that could be turned on. It immediately warmed up in the bed. The B&B also had a buffet breakfast. The special thing about the B&B was the sky view. It was so beautiful to overlook the whole mountain😻. It was considered a relatively cheap B&B in the Situation Farm area. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be able to book a room during the 228 holiday!
