The room was great, service was good, and the price was low – excellent value for money! I stayed for several days and it was very comfortable, I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend it. The lobby environment was nice, and the room facilities were pretty good. Xiao Du (AI assistant) was quite smart, thumbs up! 👍 I'll definitely come again next time.

The hotel is right in the Moon River Ancient Town and was much better than I expected. It was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was plentiful. Even during the May Day holiday, the prices didn't go up too much. The hotel itself is quite spacious, and the architecture within the hotel grounds, with its white walls and black tiles, blends in perfectly. It's also less crowded than the ancient town, making me feel like the hotel itself was more worthwhile than the town.

A fantastic, highly recommended stay! Dongyueli perfectly captures the ambiance of a Jiangnan water town. The hotel is right next to Cangqiao Old Street, built by the river, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's within walking distance to Lu Xun's former residence, Fushan Park, and other attractions, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. The staff were warm and attentive, and the common areas were wonderfully relaxing for tea and chats.

If you're not in a hurry, you can sit on the guesthouse balcony, sip some tea, and watch the Wupeng boats slowly glide by. Across the river, you'll see bustling shops and people, and observing the comings and goings of both people and boats allows life to slow down, offering a glimpse into the diverse tapestry of human experience.

When I visited Huzhou before, my Huzhou friends proudly told me that the Sheraton Huzhou Taihu Lake Hot Spring Resort was the city's calling card and its pride. Due to time constraints, I couldn't stay there then, but I decided I had to experience it someday. This time, taking advantage of my trip back to China, my spouse and I finally fulfilled that wish. The Sheraton Huzhou Taihu Lake Hot Spring Resort exceeded our expectations in every way! What particularly impressed us were the dazzling 'Ring of Light' show, the multi-themed outdoor natural hot springs, and the incredibly rich and varied breakfast. Of course, the luxurious and comfortable room, its impeccable cleanliness, and the polite and attentive service from the butler and staff also left us full of praise. As overseas Chinese from Japan, we can say that even in Japan, hotels of this caliber, with such excellent service, are not common. I will definitely recommend the 'Moon Hotel' to my Japanese friends. Our heartfelt thanks to the Moon Hotel for providing us with such a thoroughly satisfying experience.

Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel: A Poetic Jiangnan Escape, Straight Out of Vincent Fang's Lyrics
Amidst the misty rain of Xitang, where gondolas gently drift, lies Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel – a poetic haven favored by Vincent Fang, nestled in this ancient town that embodies all the tenderness of Jiangnan. It’s an artistic sanctuary hidden within the everyday hustle and bustle.
When lyricist Vincent Fang stepped into Xitang, he chose Yuanzhu as his abode, weaving the misty allure and classic black-tiled, white-walled scenery of Jiangnan into his exquisitely crafted lyrics. He once said, “Architecture is the temperament of a city,” and Yuanzhu truly serves as Xitang's most distinctive and stylish emblem. It encapsulates the graceful charm of Jiangnan and radiates artistic vibrancy, allowing every guest to grasp the poetry hidden within Xitang's daily life.
Hidden away in a core, secluded area of Xitang Ancient Town, adjacent to the Misty Rain Corridor, Yuanzhu offers an immediate escape from the clamor of the world. Yet, a turn of the head brings you back to embrace the lively atmosphere of the ancient town. The hotel was meticulously designed by a master landscape artist, who eschewed elaborate ornamentation, opting instead for minimalist 'blank space' to define its artistic texture. Pure white corridors gracefully stretch and curve, while arched doorways naturally exude a romantic ambiance. As light and shadow dance, they trace the gentle contours unique to Jiangnan, making every snapshot a stunning, atmospheric masterpiece – recreating the poetic backdrops Vincent Fang himself captured.
Stepping inside, Eastern antiquity blends seamlessly with modern art. The white walls and dark tiles continue the rustic charm of Jiangnan water towns, while innovative designs like the stargazing terrace, sky garden, and Monet's Window infuse this antiquity with a unique romance. The serene tea room invites you to savor a cup of tea while watching rain patter on banana leaves outside the window. From the viewing terrace, you can admire a sky full of stars and listen to the ancient town's evening breeze whisper. The elegant guest rooms offer ultimate comfort and delicate touches, with private courtyards and tatami bathtubs – every detail thoughtfully designed to allow your body and mind to truly relax within the gentle embrace of Jiangnan.
This is where Vincent Fang found his creative inspiration. The chivalrous tenderness of “Red Dust Inn” and the romantic wistfulness of “Waiting for the Misty Rain in Azure” (天青色等烟雨) seem to be palpable in every breath and corner of Yuanzhu. Staying here means sleeping in the rooms where a celebrated talent slept, seeing the landscapes he saw, walking on the bluestone paths, and wandering through the Misty Rain Corridor. It’s an immersive experience of Jiangnan water towns' spiritual beauty, a rendezvous with the ink-wash Jiangnan described in poetry.
There's no need to travel far or seek distant lands. Come to Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel, live within the Jiangnan artistic conception penned by Vincent Fang. Amidst the white walls and dark tiles, in the interplay of light and shadow, encounter an unexpected poetry and beauty. Let time slow down, let your heart find peace, and unlock your own slow pace of life in Jiangnan.
Come to Xitang, fulfill your appointment with Yuanzhu, meet Vincent Fang's poetic spirit, admire the misty rain of Jiangnan together, and quietly enjoy the tranquility of time.

This time we chose the親子套房 (family suite) at Greentown Resort Hotel in Qiandao Lake. The room facilities were complete, and the front desk staff, especially a young man, was very responsive to all our requests. The lake view was absolutely stunning. The hotel's location is also very convenient, close to major attractions and food courts. The hotel has its own underground parking, which is free for guests. We stayed in Building 3, and there's a convenient shuttle service to the swimming pool in Building 1. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very rich and delicious! 👍

This hotel was a great choice for our family trip with the little one. The environment is lovely, and the room was spotless, which is a huge plus when traveling with kids during off-peak times. The front desk staff were very attentive and patient. The soundproofing was also quite good. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up!

The hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very grand, however is a bit dated. The breakfast has so many choices and you can watch the pork buns being made and cooked in the restaurant. We received a complimentary bag of fruit each day and a departure gift.
The hotel is very accessible to the Dream Valley (water and amusement park), Qin Palace and Scenic Parks. I have included a photo of Dream Valley from our hotel window. The water park was not functioning yet as we didn't visit during Summer, but the amusement and sea animal side of the park was open. Qin Palace and Scenic Park are joined and just across the road from Dream Valley. I personally liked the Scenic Park the most out of all the parks. The close proximity of the hotel enabled us to go back to our hotel for a rest half way through the day. There is a lot of ground to cover.
The Western restaurant at the hotel appeared to be closed, and there was not lunch restaurant open in the hotel. There is a small Chinese restaurant at the hotel open at night. We walked into town about 15 mins to the food street for lunch. The hotel is located in a small green area away from the Main Street.
The Forbidden City and Guangzhou/Hong Kong parks are about a 15 min taxi ride away from the hotel.
I recommend this hotel if you plan on going to Hengdian World Studios.

It's OK. It's conveniently located in the city center. The front desk helped me upgrade the room type. In the morning, there were eggs, sweet potatoes, soy milk and other things to fill my stomach. This price is quite cost-effective. I recommend it~

GGuest UserSuper fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle.
Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel.
There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set.
The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors.
The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai.
The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as ”laoshi” (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as ”starlet”. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups.
The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day.
The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi.
Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies.
GGuest UserThe environment of the hotel is very good. The room is very hygienic. The facilities are complete. The boss service is very good. The family wants to play mahjong and the owner of the hotel. The owner of the hotel went to the relatives' house on a rainy day. The mahjong table breakfast is also prepared. A lot of service is very good. Friends who come to Lishui can choose this homestay. Real test praise!
GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and well-arranged. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and enthusiastically recommended sightseeing routes, which saved us a lot of time. Our entire experience was excellent. The hotel has its own parking lot, and there's a hundred-meter flower wall nearby, perfect for photos. The location is superb, very close to the attractions we wanted to visit, and we could just walk there. I genuinely recommend it!
GGuest UserThe room was compact and clean, and the shower water was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. It's located right downstairs from Hefang Street, so dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are super convenient. West Lake is also quite close, and both bus and subway stations are within easy reach. I initially booked one night, and after seeing how good it was, I booked another! The lobby also has luggage storage, which is a great bonus!
MM787019****The hotel I stayed at this time was quite satisfactory. Parking is convenient, there is a bus stop next to the hotel, it is especially easy to go out by car, whether it is to go to the attractions or the business district is very convenient. The room is OK, the space is not cramped, and the daily activities are completely enough. Toiletries are also quite complete, toothbrushes, combs and face towels are individually packaged, and you can rest assured. Cleaning will be cleaned on time, changing garbage bags and replenishing daily necessities are very timely, and the desktop floor is always clean. The front desk and floor attendants are very good. They patiently answer questions when checking in. They also take the initiative to help with luggage when checking out. They smile all the time and feel very kind. Next time I come here, I should choose this one again.
GGuest UserLocated in a village near Cicheng, it is about half an hour's drive from downtown Ningbo and about two hours from Shanghai. It is a quiet and convenient location.
The housekeeper will contact in advance to confirm the dinner and bathing time. The special bathing pool is by appointment, which is basically a private bath experience. It is very comfortable.
The restaurant tastes good, the stir-fried asparagus is very tender, and a bowl of glutinous rice balls was given when checking in during the Lantern Festival, which is very considerate.
It is very comfortable to stroll around the bamboo forest pond in the village in the morning. The rape flowers are about to bloom recently, and it is a good place for leisure and vacation.
AAnonymous UserStumbled upon a real gem this trip, what a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were so kind and attentive, and check-in was a breeze. The room was clean, tidy, and had excellent natural light. It was quiet overall, not noisy at all. Getting around and finding places to eat was also super convenient. After staying here, I just want to book it again and again!
MmayrpamintuanYouwang Meicen Homestay is conveniently located right next to Hefang Old Street, making it an excellent choice for travelers who enjoy being close to a lively walking street filled with various food stalls, eateries, and shops. The location is very vibrant and convenient, especially in the evenings. However, do note that there are stairs leading to the property, so it may not be ideal if you are traveling with a lot of heavy luggage.
When we arrived, our room was not yet ready, so we took the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. The owner was very proactive and messaged us as soon as the room became available, and by the time we returned, our luggage had already been placed inside the room, which we appreciated.
The room itself was spacious and uniquely designed with two levels: a living area downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. There were plenty of hangers, a clothes rack, and an open cabinet for organizing belongings. The mini bar included bottled water that was replenished daily, and the bathroom came with complete amenities. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, though I did notice a small face mask wrapper left near the bed.
One highlight was the availability of staff 24/7. One night, our key card stopped working, but thankfully there was someone on-site who assisted us immediately. The property also has a vending machine, a 24/7 eatery, and a taproom near the street entrance that stays open late, adding to the convenience.
Overall, Youwang Meicen Homestay offers a comfortable stay in a prime location, with spacious rooms, helpful staff, and easy access to food and nightlifeideal for travelers who want to experience Hefang Old Street up close.
GGuest UserI like living in Dongzha, it is quiet and comfortable, the air is good, the scenery is good, the location of the B&B is super good, not far from the entrance of Dongzha, the boss is very nice, pick us up, the B&B is very clean, the window is facing the river, sitting and drinking tea is very leisurely
