Pet friendly Hotels in Brittany, France

We stayed here for one night on the final leg of a trip around Brittany, prior to catching the ferry home from St Malo the following evening and we wished we had arrived earlier than the check in time of 3pm as here is nothing else to do here but go to Ile de Brehat, it's literally the end of the coast road right opposite the ferry terminus , about five miles from Paimpol. As with everywhere in Brittany we were greeted by a huge smile at reception, from Anthony who spoke brilliant English having worked for ten years in Edinburgh - the bretons are so hospitable and friendly, The hotel was packed and the restaurant was forced to do two sittings, we chose the earlier sitting and felt quite sorry for the waiting staff who were obviously missing a few colleagues and were working their socks off. The food wasn't the best we have had in Brittany however that could have been down to staffing levels in the last week of August. We sat watching the queues of people snaking down to the half hourly ferries , there were literally thousands of them and on our return journey we passed a traffic queue about one mile long heading towards the one 600 space long stay car park . The breakfast at the hotel which cost 17 euros a head was pricey and not worth it, we ordered omelettes and were presented with two small side plates containing what looked like scrambled eggs. I would give it a miss and go into Paimpol for coffee and a croissant. The room price is good value however.

Hotel is around 20 minutes far from gare du Quimper by walk. Everything was clean, but only ceiling is not clean. But I am okay with that. I arrived the hotel late, but there was information in front of the main entrance with wrong number in English. I was nervous that I can't enter the building, because there isn't way to call the hotel. But after then, I found correct number in French, and person in charge informed me how can I enter the main entrance. He was kind. (I told it to reception, so she might change it) But I couldn't face the person in charge at around 22:00, and there is only way by call. Anyway, I could easily take a key (It was in the mail box with password) and enter the room. For the next day, the person in charge at reception was kind. She kept my luggage kindly for my trip.

Parking opposite was difficult on late Friday afternoon and cost 11 Euros until 10 am Saturday morning. Breakfast was of a good quality with lots of choice and the staff member who seemed to double up as Reception and breakfast host and he was friendly, helpful and efficient. It was only a 5 minute stroll across the road into the old town where there was plenty of choice for eating. WiFi was infuriatingly bad as it kept cutting out after a few minutes requiring you to re enter all your details again.

Ho alloggiato qui una sola notte e mi son trovata bene. La proprietaria è disponibile e gentile, mi ha aspettato alla sera quando sono arrivata (nel buio più totale perché il comune spegne le luci alla sera). Possibilità di lasciare l'auto sulla via davanti alla struttura (il paesino è molto tranquillo e silenzioso alla sera). Avevo una camera ampia con bagno privato in mansarda e mi son trovata molto bene. Colazione ottima:varia, abbondante, con cibi freschi e possibilità di avere anche affettati, formaggio e uova. Consiglierei senza dubbio questo B&B

Très belle maison, parc magnifique, chambres et salles de bains très bien équipées, petit déjeuner copieux avec produits frais, accueil chaleureux, très bon rapport qualité prix. Propreté et hygiène irréprochables. Chambre d'hôte à conseiller.
