Simple but lovely hotel. Right in the centre of all the local amenities. Loads of parking available right outside the front of the hotel. Get yourself in the coaster opposite the hotel live singers and cheap drinks in the daytime.

My Stay at Ropewalks Hotel: Totally Worth It! Just got back from a quick overnight at Ropewalks Hotel in Liverpool and had to share my thoughts! For just £46 — and let's be real, saved a solid chunk thanks to those Trip.com coins — this little spot delivered way more than I expected for a city break. The location? **Perfect.** Right in the heart of the Ropewalks district, which means you're steps away from some of the coziest bars, indie eateries, and amazing street art. I came for a quick solo adventure, and being so close to everything made it super easy to explore without wasting time on transport. I stayed **Monday, August 11 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025** — just one night — and check-in after 3 PM was smooth. No waiting, no hassle. Check-out before 11 AM was equally chill. The room itself was modern, comfy, and spotlessly clean — exactly what I needed. Not five-star fancy, but everything worked, it felt cared for, and I actually got a great night's sleep. One thing I really appreciated? **The transparency.** The bulk was paid upfront, and I only had to hand over £2.40 on-site — no surprise fees. Plus, knowing Trip.com backs it with a price match and stay guarantee gave me peace of mind. Loved that I could message or call the hotel directly through the app, and the ”Manage Booking” feature made the whole process feel seamless. Felt like I was in control the whole time. Is this a resort with a spa and champagne service? Nope. But it's not pretending to be. Booked a 4 night stay with the hotel. The room is spacious. Most of the room is clean, except some items such as the coffee cup. The staff is friendly and accommodative. Breakfast food quality is always consistent.

He should ask me nicely without pushing me because i didn’t wear ring .

I recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Liverpool in Room 323. While my overall experience was great—the room was excellent and the price was fair—I have some feedback regarding the front desk service. As a professional with 15 years in the hotel industry, I felt the welcome at reception was lacking. After my wife checked in, I arrived and went to the front desk to inform them. They were not very welcoming and didn't offer any directions to my room or to the lifts, even though this was my first visit. I believe your staff would benefit from additional training on guest interaction and hospitality standards. This is not a complaint but rather constructive feedback to help you improve.

The hotel is right by the sea, a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the train station. They have sea-view rooms with nice scenery. There were also a few complimentary drinks in the fridge. The room was clean and tidy, so overall, it's pretty good.

When we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC. I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did. Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there. I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this

Firstly upon arrival staff friendly with a smile , did not get a name of the lady on reception ( sorry) but was welcoming and so polite towards my daughter and myself. I arrived earlier than check in , was offered luggage storage given a ticket and kept until arrived back to check in at 15:00. Had to pay a £2.40 room tax which I did not think was bad . The room was brilliant for us my only fault which couldn’t be helped was the room faced a car park which was noisy until midnight and home bargains which of course it was delivery day so early rise 05:30 for me as light sleeper. But overall can not fault the hotel . Will stay again. Easy access to Liverpool town centre 5 minute walk across road , and Liverpool central train station literally up the road.

Excellent location for a visit to Albert Dock and to the city centre for shopping. Staff are professional ,friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and very clean. The onsite parking is a definite 5 stars plus. Thank you Ibis Liverpool you made my stay very special.
