Great privacy and safety with bed curtains. It's relatively quiet; the room has good soundproofing and convenient transportation.
The hygiene could use a bit of improvement, as the pillowcase was a little dirty. Luckily, I brought my own. Charging devices on the top bunk can be a bit inconvenient.
They offer luggage storage after check-out. The front desk lady was very friendly and always served with a smile.
There's a small bar downstairs where you can grab a drink and relax.
This was my second visit to this hotel. Maison Bistro is a lovely establishment. It is cute and stylish. The location is perfect to wander on foot in the Buda Castle district.
The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and very well equipped.
Breakfast was delicious and various options à la carte were available too. We also enjoyed a nice diner menu that was offered for an affordable price to onboard guests. The meal was well presented and every dish very yummy. I would definitely recommend this place to any traveller who is looking forward to have a special experience in Budapest.
I had previously emailed them requesting a room with a good view, and indeed, the hotel assigned me a high-floor room directly facing the Parliament building. The transportation is very convenient; there's a taxi stand right outside, and the metro station is only a few hundred meters away, making it easy to get anywhere. However, European hotels are generally quite small. If you don't have high expectations, it's certainly acceptable, though the hygiene was a bit subpar – there was a spider that seemed to have been living there for quite some time.
I chose hotel because of the aesthetics and location. Thought economy room will be plain but it wasn’t! High ceiling, nice room design and beautiful view to courtyard. Me and my teenager daughter enjoyed the stay definitely!
I had a wonderful experience staying at the Danubius Hotel Hungaria City Center. The location was perfect — close to the city center and very convenient for public transportation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again on my next visit to Budapest!
This is a really great hotel. The facilities have a wonderful sense of history, and it's very clean. It's a shame I only stayed for one night, but I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
The breakfast is of high quality, offering a wide variety of food options that cater to different preferences. The hotel staff provided very good and prompt service throughout the stay.
While the hotel is located slightly outside the city center, it is conveniently situated directly on a metro line, with only 3–4 stops to the city center, which takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Regarding airport access: for those traveling light (e.g., with a trolley suitcase), public transportation is a convenient option, with a direct bus to the city center and then metro, total travel time around 50 minutes. For those with heavier luggage, it is recommended to use a taxi for comfort and convenience.
The hotel is also next to a large shopping mall and several supermarkets and casual dining options, although higher-quality restaurants are found in the city center.
The hotel rooms are adequate and acceptable, with generally fair cleanliness. The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center with a wide variety of machines, allowing for a full-body workout. Additionally, the hotel has a pleasant swimming pool and a very professional and well-heated sauna, which enhances the overall wellness experience.
The presence of water dispensers both in the gym and near the sauna is highly appreciated and essential for guest safety, helping to prevent dehydration.
Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food.
Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing.
The hotel is right on the Buda fisherman bastion the best location,a little pricey. Disappointed due to no air conditioning hotel said they put off air conditioning during this season Starting October. Most of Europe does this. They instructed us to just open windows,if a person has respiratory issues it would affect their breathing. The temperature of the room is not consistent near the window is cold away from the window is hot, Otherwise it is a good place to stay.

GGeiorgiestravelsI stayed for 6 nights in an 8 bed female dorm with en-suite. Bed is comfortable and each one has a lamp , plug socket, privacy curtain, small lock box on wall within bed space and an under bed storage box that is big enough to hold a carry on suitcase (need own padlock). The room is spacious enough to not feel cramped even with 4 bunk beds. There are hooks on the side of the bed and walls. The en-suite shower room had a hairdryer and soap/shampoo in the cubicle. There is also a washroom in the corridor. Rooms are cleaned each morning.
Room has heavy blackout style curtain and there are two lights meaning the smaller light near the door can be put on by someone arriving late. I had no problems sleeping. Roommates are the luck of the draw; all mine were quiet and respectful.
The hostel is in a charismatic old building yet modern and clean. The beds are spacious and comfortable to be in, also lounge areas, dining areas and separate work areas with tables being used by people on computers. Free WiFi is stable throughout. Kitchen area has multiple cooking hobs, necessary cooking equipment and even a toasted sandwich maker which I enjoyed making use of.
The hostel is clean, well organized and designed well for travelers. It is not a party hostel and a quiet place to chill, I.e. not the place for someone who is looking for a bar and active social scene within the hostel though everyone I met was friendly. Feels safe and secure with keycard access.
The location is great; being less than 5 min walk from Fovam Ter means lots of transport links for bus, tram or metro. I arrived and departed by FlixBus and bus 83 provides a direct 25 min route to the bus station. The hostel is right next door to the Great Market Hall in which there is an Aldi to buy cooking basics and all the market stalls for Hungarian specialties and souvenirs. Easy walking distance to the historic centre and places tourists would want to go.
I would definitely stay again.
Yyang59****Great value for money! Budapest isn't a very big city, and the hostel's location is excellent – I walked everywhere. There's a supermarket and plenty of food options nearby, which was really convenient.
The only downside was one of my roommates. He was constantly on the phone, watching videos out loud, coming and going late at night, and snored incredibly loudly. It was the first time I've ever experienced something like that.
AAnonymous UserIt is a very satisfactory hotel, and the price is right! There are many plugs, drinks, a large bathroom, and a small balcony. It is worth recommending, and it is close to the subway.
GGuest UserThe location was perfect, there were a lot of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the staff were very friendly ☺️ And the room was very spacious and clean, the shower was comfortable, and the price was great.. 🤍🖤👍🏿
+ All the drinks in the fridge were free.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, on the quiet side. But there is public transportation right outside, and it's a 7-minute walk to the opposite side of the Congress. It's a great place to walk along the river at night.
There is a nice bar on the top floor of the hotel, and the guy was super nice and gave me a free meal!
The room is very exquisite, not big but tasteful, and everything is new.
GGuest UserA beautiful place, not the first time we stay with the family in this hotel. This time we took a room more, it is beautiful, but it turned out to be 6 et, and the elevator up to 5 et. Next, the screw staircase under the roof. We had 3 big suitcases, it is not very convenient to pull them down the stairs. Bike number.also as a recommendation of the hotel administration, add a teapot and at least a few tea or coffee bags to the room (which is the usual practice in good hotels). People on the road are tired and it would be nice to drink hot tea rather than to wear shopping in search.
