What a great hostel, I’ve stopped at many hostels in my time but this was very much one of the better ones. I can only comment on our private room however. Friendly welcome, easy enough check in even though we arrived at 2am due to cancelled trains, not a problem! Great bar and area, things always happening. We saw a live jazz band in there for the one night we were there. Pub crawls, city tours for free, speed dating have it all. Our room was great, clean and comfortable. It was quite loud during the night, noisy neighbours (not the hostels fault) and a weird kind of opening of vents or something from the aircon possibly. Couldn’t put my finger on it but maybe worth looking at. Thankyou to the team!

Perfect place for transfer! Location perfect coz just a few minutes walk inside indoor terminal after arrival, simply take the ‘glass’ elevator to -1, and then follow sign to walk short distance indoor with air conditioning to hotel; even easy for carrying super heavy luggage on my own as a lady. Great facilities with indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam, fitness room with good view. It’s the good standard sheraton hotel. Spacious and comfortable room, new and clean, bathroom spacious and convenient, comfortable bed…. Hotel has a nice restaurant with bright view and many hotel guests, or can have simple cafe food, juice, sandwich, yoghurt…. at airport terminal for dinner, coz just 2-3 minute indoor walk. Great value for money, highly recommended!

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

The location is perfect! It's just a 3-minute walk from Milan Central Station, and you can easily spot the giant light box at the top of the building for guidance. There is a short couple of stairs to access the lobby and a bell for assistance if needed. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff is helpful and polite. The room is clean and adequately equipped. Despite my short two-day stay, I have nothing to complain about. The breakfast is not bad and is worth the price.

I only spent one night and less than twelve hours in total at this property as I just needed somewhere to stay relatively close to the Milano Porta Garibaldi station for an onward journey. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station and as the trams/buses take about the same length of time, it's relatively convenient for the trains. It's an older property without many mod cons. My room was tiny and definitely a single, with a single bed and no room to move. There was a battered old desk and chair, but nothing else. Linens were clean and fresh, but the bed cover was ancient. The room was relatively warm, but there was nowhere to control the heating. The bathroom was also small, but the shower was at least designed for a single adult. There was a low grade shampoo and soap provided and a dusty old hairdryer. The towels were a bit shabby, but clean. There was WIFI but there are so many connection points available, it took time to work out which one was giving the most reliable signal. I had breakfast, which was certainly plentiful. Pastries, breads, yogurt, cheeses, meats, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cereal. Everything you'd expect. I just wasn't here long enough to form a more positive (or negative) experience. It was a place to crash in between long train journeys and was fine for that. I don't think I'd have chosen the location had I been intending to explore Milan.

The perfect stay for 1 or 2 nights. Friendly staff. The brekfast was perfect to start the day. The hotel offers transfer to Milano Malpensa airport for a friendly fare off 11 euro/ room. From the airport we can reach the hotel by taxi, with the price of apx 21 euro.

My husband and I just stayed at Hotel Bristol for 7 nights since we arrived at Milan via train from Venice and we also wanted a central location for easy travel to various areas, including Malpensa airport. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is just a few mins’ walk to the Milano Centrale station and about 7 mins’ walk to the bus stop for the bus to Malpensa airport. We stayed in a triple room as we wanted more space for the room. Our allocated room has a small living area and the bedroom is separate. The room is clean and the space is very good for us. The staff are also friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we will stay at Hotel Bristol again when we are in Milan.

The hotel is very convenient. All destinations are near the hotel Eating, drinking and entertainment are all near the hotel There are cooking tools in the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Carrefour. It is very clean.

I really loved my stay here. The staff was amazing. The rooms were everything I could have hoped for, clean, quiet and very comfortable. Hot breakfast in the morning. and two bottles of water in the fridge.

I booked and paid for standard bed however once I was there I was informed they are full to capacity and only twins beds were available. My trip was for 5 nights and the they would only be able to offer me a standard bed the last night of my stay. I was also told that I'm staying longer than the normal as their minimum patrons stays between 2-3 nights and my stay is longer. The food is also not desirable. I was disappointed by that being in Italy and not having a capable chef. The person working was overwhelm as the was the only one and there were many people to attend to. The location was not ideal as it was right next to an abandon building and walking to get the bus was dark and creepy. Because it was my first time in Milan I was expecting more but next time I'll choose another hotel closer to the town. It's good if you're seeking few days just to stay All the staff at the front desk were exceptional and that was a pluys

The room is large and not far from the subway station. Very good value for money.

A beautiful property literally a few steps from the station, yet once you step inside you feel a sense of calm and luxury due to the beautiful surroundings and very hospitable staff, from the bellmen, to the front desk, to the housekeeping and the restaurant staff. Our small room with a queen bed in the 6th floor and overlooked the station exterior and park. It was very clean and well appointed. Only the desk looked a bit worn, but certainly a minor point. Comfy beds and pillows. Coffee machine, tea machine, and we loved the Aqua di Parma toiletries with lovely scents. The buffet breakfast was excellent where again, service was very good. I enjoyed the spa services, including the steam room and salt room. Robes and slippers provided and the facilities were complimentary, including the gym and pool. The spa/gym were sparkling and high-end. To top it off, there was a very convenient complimentary hotel shuttle to take you to the sightseeing area of the Duomo and La Scala, and famous shopping area. We felt pampered during our stay!! Highly recommend.

Our flight was overbooked and we had to stay in a hotel near by. The hotel staff were excellent, after a very stressful four hours of not being able to board a plane, waiting for our bags to return and having zero communication from the flight company, we needed good people. The staff had held the kitchen for us so we had some food. They recommended ways to get to a different airport so we could get home earlier. Amazing people, very friendly, accommodating and helpful, thank you 🙏

I stayed at the Moom in 2011 and 2012 and loved it— not so much this time. While the breakfast buffet and happy hour are wonderful, the rooms were awful. We booked two rooms- one for me and one for my husband and a kid in each room. They set the temperature at 23– you cannot change it. The staff put us in a handicapped room - the toilet was 2feet off the ground, furniture was missing from the room, and there was no place to set belongings in the bathroom. The space was awkward and not cozy at all. Then, when we checked out, they told us there was an 80 Euro “child fee”. This wasn’t in the original booking — why us there a child fee? Did we just get ripped off? Impossible to know. While the original booking suggested this would cost one price, the final price was Much more.

We needed a one night stay near the Malpensa airport in Milan that offered free shuttle service to the airport. The Sempione Hotel Ristorante was perfect- helpful, friendly staff- a gentleman saw us coming across the street with a ton of luggage and rushed over to help us with the luggage twice. Check-in was easy. My husband returned the rental car to the airport and they picked him up at the airport at 9 pm and took us to the airport at 6:15 am. They had airconditioning, provided requested extra pillows, had a restaurant and bar and an early morning continental style breakfast. All this and only $84 euros a night. Perfect!

Bella esperienza. Le cosa più bella della camere è che sembrano proprio delle piccole casette stile bungalow a sé con parcheggio privato per ognuna. Ci si rilassa molto bene, il box doccia è un grande plus. Uniche cose che ”boccio” sono la dimensione della TV, un po' piccola anche se è molto apprezzabile la posizione in alto e incastrata nello specchio, e i cuscini un po' troppo piatti che non sono proprio il massimo della comodità. Altra nota positiva è l'ubicazione a 2 passi dal lago in un bel paesino. Assolutamente consigliato

We have just left the hotel after a very brief but great stay. After some initial problems with a mistake I made during booking, Marika was very helpful in sorting it via email. We then had a delayed flight which meant checking in around 12:30am but the night receptionist was very helpful and allowed us to go straight to our room with two sleeping children. We had misunderstood that the breakfast would end at 10am when in fact it was 9:30, however Marika went out of her way to call us soon before the end asking if we were coming down - she then waited for us to do so, we were so happy with this service! Check out was smooth and again all round very happy stay, would highly recommend.

My third visit and loving it. Great hospitality with friendly staff, nice rooms and tucked in a plush quiet location surrounded by trees and birds chirping in the morning. Very good breakfast. Beats Ibis & Novotel Malpensa anytime.

Very family ambiance and care by the owner. The apartments are sufficiently equipped. Certainly, we will return.

Good hostel, near a supermarket and convenient location with the railway station. A bit overshadowed that my room was on the first floor with a window to the courtyard, it was pretty noisy even with earplugs ... And a rather modest breakfast compared to hostels for the same price. But the friendliness of the staff and convenient location sweetened these inconveniences.

WOW - this is just the most magnificent boutique hotel and a truly exceptional position. It’s super close to the lake AND shops AND restaurants - we only had a day and a half but I would gladly come back for a few days. One of our rooms had a window view directly our over the lake (302) and the other had a little balcony that offered views of the lake. (403) . I preferred the 302 room but my daughter said that it was a bit noisy due to the stream of cars. The rooms are comfy although I always dislike the joined single beds to create a king bed with a join. I always seem to end up stuck in the join (no matter how small the crack😂) The decor of the hotel is like a plush reminder of the 1930s - I felt like George Cluney might come round a corner at any moment. The building is superb and VERY picturesque. Service has been excellent and we feel very privileged. We have just finished breakfast in the most divine outdoor setting in the hotel grounds overlooking the lake. It is a bright blue sky and the wind is calm - I don’t think life gets much better than this.. Last night we dined at Ristorante Sottovoce which was a mere 100m away and absolutely as MUST do while staying at the perfect venue. “It’s such a shame we’re only here for one night” , my wife just said. But we still have a few hours to do a guided but tour with a private captain/guide - so there is still more special-ness to enjoy.

Excellent location, in the center (it's a plus but also a penalty for the noise down the street until late at night, especially on weekends). But we must be honest, there is a lot to work on the structure ... Room sold as superior but the superiors are far from it. No TV in the room and this is serious for me if you sell a 'superior' for almost €100 a night. Bad soundproofing, you could also hear the snoring of the rooms next door ... Very inconvenient the fact that it is on a third floor without a lift and therefore only stairs, and at the end of the day it is really hard, impossible for families with prams or the handicapped. Poorly maintained entrance door on the street, it borders the service door of a restaurant / bar that gives off strong smells at all hours. Appreciated the coffee maker in the room and the water, but this does not enhance the structure itself. The bidet leaked, an air conditioner mounted on the kitchen hood with drain pipe in the sink of the same. For a room sold as a Superior at almost €100 a night I would say absolutely not...Ok the cleaning and telephone courtesy of the staff (I say telephone since we have never met the owners for obvious personal reasons, nor is there a reception). to say that they were very courteous in leaving the room for us even after check-out time without a supplement, truly a convenience for those who visit and then return before leaving.

It was truly fabulous stay!!! We've been deeply impressed: The best view on the Como lake and one of the best views ever!!! Service personnel – friendly and caring, with that personal touch that you won’t get in most of the big hotels. You couldn’t get the better value for the very decent at the Como lake price! Hotel location is very good. Less than 100 meters from the lake and the ticket purchase. It is convenient to eat and travel. The front desk service is good. Breakfast is ok. The room is small and simple. Overall, it is not bad.

Felt the need to leave a review, which is rare but because of the amount of research I did prior to our trip to Lake Como and reading the many positive reviews of this hotel, my only hope is that this helps someone spending the same time and energy before their travels. You’ll read within other reviews that the view and location are incredible, this is true, but that’s about all the good that is offered. While the rooms are old, the beds are pretty uncomfortable and the bathrooms resemble a motel, the worst offering (or lack of offering) is the customer service. The reception does not answer the phone, ever. If you get them to answer buy a lottery ticket. One evening we departed for dinner in Bellagio and noticed that the last ferry returning back to the hotel was right before 8pm, much too early. We inquired about how to get back to the hotel after our meal and the receptionist informed us that we could take the ferry to a neighboring town (2 miles away) and to call the hotel when we were on the way and they would arrange a taxi, perfect plan if the hotel answers the phone. Lake Como travel is not easy, the ferry schedules are inconsistent and you aren’t able to easily access the best parts without a vehicle, the hotel made zero effort to assist us in transportation needs and when we would inquire about direction, recommendations, etc there was hardly any given. It became so bad that we inquired about a concierge, but the receptionist informed us that she was there to serve as such…. Lacking qualifications to say the least. We paid $350/night, we understand this is likely a steal of a deal given the hotels views and location and that’s fair, but for this hotel to be classified as a four-star property makes me question the validity of the system and if you’re still reading this review, pay the extra $100-150/night and stay somewhere else for the service alone. You’ll be glad you did.

The hotel is very good, that is, there was a situation when booking the room. I booked two front desks to confirm one. I tossed for a few hours and I was exhausted!

Highly recommend DO NOT BOOK that horrible hotel! There are much better accommodations around. 03.09- 04.09 Me & my boyfriend paid 230 euros for one night's stay in that hotel (COMO) The receptionist (Cristian) said the policy of the hotel obliges us to pay the whole amount for accommodation while check-in. So we did. I paid the whole amount in cash. The next day 04.09 hotel charged me again the same whole price for my stay by using my card details. I called reception, and Claudia told me that she will call me back, but she never did, she left home without telling any colleagues about my problem. I called reception again the next day and Claudia when she heard that it's me she said that I have to wait for an answer. I asked her how long because I need my money and I want to know when will I have it back, but she dropped the phone! DROPPED THE PHONE! So I don't even know what to do, it is super humiliating to face such an attitude, should I bag the hotel to get my money back?! They do not reply to the emails, do not call me back, or hang the phone if I call. I don't want to go to the police, but what else can I do?! The hotel in Como and the hotel in Milan have two different owners, so even in Milan, they said that they can not do anything to help me. It's the first time in all my travel experience I face such rudeness and unprofessionalism. Apart from that, we did the checkout at 11.15, so we were 15 min late. The receptionist (Claudia) charged us 15 euros (1 euro per minute) for the late checkout. More of that, she insisted that I should pay as well for the late checkout for the other guests, that Im not related to! Because we booked our rooms at the same time for her it means that we are friends and I will pay for them as well! I couldn't do anything since she had my card, I was obliged to pay. The other guests, paid for their rooms separately, with another card, but Claudia still charged me those 40 euro! That is unacceptable! I was very mad, so I told Claudia the trough ”That is the worst hotel I had ever stayed” and Claudia replied, ”YOU ARE THE WORST CUSTOMER EVER”. Apart from all that, the rooms are very poor, the view is horrible! For many years there are the construction works in front, so that will be the view from your balcony! The walls are so thin that you can literally hear all the conversations of the other guests. The room I occupied as a single with view of the lake was great. My remarks concern the poor quality of lunch and dinner. The risotto was bland and tasteless despite spoonfuls of parmesan cheese. It would have been easy to add some spices and pepper. The salad with its dressing of olive oil and vinegar from a sachet was not good. At dinner I had fish & soft chips, no cooked vegetables are available, only a salad. The potatoe chips should have been fried longer to make them crispy. Make melanzane parmigiani. The red wine offered gave me a stomache ache. By all means, stay, but eat elsewhere.
