The hotel is located at Kannai Station, just two stops from Yokohama Station. The area is very quiet and relaxing, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. You can also easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse.
The only minor downsides were that the TV didn't have YouTube or Netflix, and the window wasn't as large as it appeared in the photos, which was a bit of a shame.
However, the front desk staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. All the other facilities at the hotel were fantastic! 👍 I'd definitely consider staying at an OMO in a different area next time.

Great experience. The staff were lovely and the area is beautiful. Rooms are very homely and comfy. We went into the onsen both nights and it was great.
We also got dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good we were impressed. Overall it felt like a very personal stay and couldn't be happier.
For some of the logistics if you are wanting to do the hakone main loop. We recommend coming in from Shinjuku on the romance car, take the montain train up to Gora and then the cable car to Sounzan. We then took a roughly 10min bus from Sounzan to Yuyu. The next morning we then took the same bus back to Sounzan and caught the first 9am ropeway fo start off the loop. We managed to avoid most of the crowds and it was very convenient.
Once again couldn't recommend Yuyu enough thank you for the great stay!!
It was very comfortable, I'll definitely come back!!
The staff were also very kind.
It's close to the station and the walls are thick, so I couldn't hear any noise from the next room at all (lol).
The hotel is cheap and good. It should be said that the room size is the largest among Japanese hotels. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. There is a mountain view outside the window, and the field of vision is relatively wide. It is relatively comfortable to live there. As the flight was delayed, it was already early in the morning when we arrived at the hotel, but the staff was still very welcoming. It's just that the hotel does not have Chinese service, so you need to know a little Japanese to communicate.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and super comfy. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight, way better than I expected for the price we paid. They have 3 types: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor and 1 mixed. All these are bookable throughout the day, from 7am to 11pm and they are completely private. The ryokan is 15 minutes walking from Gora station, so if you arrive by train and you have luggage I recommend you check on google map how to get there with a bus, otherwise you’ll have to walk uphill for a while. The only negative point I can find is probably the breakfast, I tried both western and Japanese style, they are both quite pricy for what they are and I personally did not enjoy the Japanese one. Despite this I would totally come back if I ever visit Hakone again.
If you are looking to escape the relentless pace of the city, Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa is an absolute sanctuary. I recently stayed here and left feeling completely recharged.
The most striking thing about this resort is the peace and quiet. Nestled between the mountains and the Sagami Bay, it offers a rare opportunity to truly reconnect with nature. Whether you are walking through the lush greenery of the grounds or simply staring out at the ocean, the atmosphere is incredibly grounding.
Big Square, 3 separate rooms + spacious kitchen-hotel room. There are all necessary for rest, even dishes. Not very modern and new accommodation, but everything is clean and clean. 3 minutes walk to the beach, to the station 15 minutes. If you were there, we would have come again

Our stay at Hakone Ginyu was the highlight of our stays amongst many 5 star resorts across Japan. The resort felt private and personal. They had several special touches to make us feel welcome. They arranged a celebration for our anniversary, decorated a room full of lights and candles, gifted a wonderful pair of chopsticks and wrote us a heartwarming message. Food was delicious and diverse. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
April 2025: Got there an hour before check in and was informed that while my tent was ready that I would have to pay 1,000 Yen for the extra hour. I had a hire car so went back into town and came back later. Not the best introduction to the site. Very nice tent, good beds and pillows with a heater for the cold nights. Bathroom facilities were clean. Food very much aimed at local guests rather than foreigners. Note that there is some noise from overhead planes, the railway and motorbikes using the road below. Nothing deafening but it spoils the tranquility. Overall a good experience.

Very Good
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days, and I really enjoyed the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that the owner spoke Korean so well, and it was great to be able to converse with them. They kindly recommended restaurants near the hotel, and you can even drink and hang out with them at night. It seems they really love Korean music! If I ever come to Kamakura again, I'd love to stay here.
