Service is very good, it is very convenient on the highway, because the house is a little noise on the side of the road, very happy to help me change a quiet room. It’s not very comfortable, but it’s good to be able to live in this house.
”Exceptional Stay at the Galt House Hotel - A Louisville Gem!”
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and elegant ambiance set the tone for a truly memorable experience.
The location of the Galt House is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown Louisville with breathtaking views of the Ohio River. It’s within walking distance to many attractions, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by the grand, modern decor that beautifully blends the hotel’s historic charm with contemporary elegance.
The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room offered stunning river views that made waking up each morning a delight. The amenities were top-notch, from the plush bathrobes to the high-quality toiletries. I truly appreciated the attention to detail.
Dining at the Swizzle Dinner & Drinks restaurant was an experience in itself! The rotating restaurant offers a unique and elevated dining experience with panoramic views of the city skyline. The food was exceptional, with a variety of locally inspired dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences, showcasing genuine care and hospitality.
The service throughout my stay was exemplary. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring my stay was perfect. From the concierge who provided excellent recommendations to the housekeeping staff who kept everything spotless, the level of service exceeded my expectations.
I also had the opportunity to relax at the hotel’s RIVUE Tower Pool, which was a tranquil oasis after a day of exploring the city. The facilities, including the fitness center and spa, were well-maintained and provided an additional layer of luxury to my stay.
Overall, my experience at the Galt House Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a fantastic blend of southern hospitality, luxury, and comfort. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisville. It’s not just a place to stay—it's an experience you won’t want to miss!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Hotel is fine, but the air conditioners - wall mounted under the window like normal at this price point - make the bed in room 304 vibrate. Turned mine off, and still got vibrations from the neighbors' units. Ugh. Slept poorly. And the only reason I was there was to sleep. Will not return. Will avoid the brand going forward.
The design is similar to the Tru hotel I have stayed in before, the lobby is spacious, with comfortable tables and chairs, beautiful Christmas trees and decorations, and 24-hour hot water and coffee supply. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably designed, and the shower had hooks for hanging clothes. The front desk was very friendly.
We absolutely loved our stay at Staybridge Suites Lexington South. Everything was spotless from the moment we walked in — super clean rooms and common areas. The location was convenient and peaceful, close to everything we needed without being in the middle of chaos.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful every step of the way, and you could tell they genuinely cared. The amenities were top-notch — the kitchen in the suite was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the free breakfast was actually good (not just filler). We felt right at home, and it was perfect for our family.
Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling through Lexington.
Lovely modern hotel. Clean and best of all pet friendly. Close to the center of down town Lexington and close to the airport and horse park.
Our room had a great view of an historic horse barn. If you love horses it would definitely be a treat to see that view.
There was no shampoo in the rooms and one member of staff was openly rude about a customer they were dealing with on the phone. Unprofessional from this particular staff member, but all other members of staff were polite and profession in manner.
Over all, a lovely stay, and would be happy to stay again.
Second time staying up here. Very nice hotel. The only negative was you could hear a door shutting not sure which one but super loud and happened on and off throughout the night and day! Also fyi there is a parking charge of $17.00. All the staff was extremely nice check in and out, cleaning attendants and especially the bartenders.

Very Good
BBrandi C.I read the reviews before I booked this hotel, and they did not let me down! Exceptionally clean hotel, wonderful price for the room, perfectly friendly receptionist, the pillows were ideal for my preference, and I could not have asked for a better location in regards to access to 75! The only reason I don't give this place a perfect score is because the photos on Trip.com show a hot tub, and I was informed that there was no hot tub, and I will say that the walls were quite thin and that I could hear everybody in the hallway and the people in the rooms across from me. In terms of hotels, those are not the most disappointing things, and I plan to stay here the next time I come back to Lexington!
GGuest UserThe rooms are spacious, good heating/air conditioning, bed was comfortable. Some of the furniture needed replacing due to cosmetic reasons , the leather was peeled off the chair in the room. It wasn’t extremely quiet in the room, I could hear the tv from another room. But it was not extremely loud. I didn’t say anything about it. It’s nice….especially for the price. I will stay again if I’m in the area.
AAshleigh CundiffThe front desk service was very kind and professional. However, our room was not very clean. The bathroom was dirty as well as the bathroom sink and our sheets. The mini refrigerator was never cleaned out and still had drinks from whoever stayed there prior to us. I have never stayed somewhere that makes you pay $9 for a cereal breakfast. Also, when we were checking in we were told that we had until 12:00 to check out. A couple of hours before, room service came and knocked on the door and asked when we were checking out. I thought this was very unprofessional. Also, the pool closes at 8, so if you have little ones, you may want to look into that more. The location was really good and the parking was very convenient.
GGuest UserIt was clean the room is nice. My only problem is they take the deposit for the room off a card they say it'll be back on in 48 hours but, it actually takes 5-7 business days.
GGuest UserDon't get fooled! The outside isn't pretty but the inside of these units are no different than what one would find in a 3+ star. The security deposits take a little bit to be refunded, but, despite that, solid choice
GGuest UserThe rooms were very clean for it being an older motel. The only thing I didn't like was there was no refrigerator or micro wave in the room.
