counter staff member was fantastic and checked us in once rooms were ready, car park is a big advantage and is off street secure., pool up top is flash area. nice rooms which for the budget level were great.

I stayed in the hotel for the commitment I had because it was close. As it was one night only, I chose to book. The room was very dirty, sabble paper open in the pier, all dirty. 2 towels, 1 was acceptable and the other was completely swept and damaged. I put it on the floor because I had no courage to use it. The bed is horrible and noisy, and the dressers too. Have you seen a short shirt? Yes, it was so much to cover up to half the body and thinnerly impossible. I had nothing but that shirt to cover. Summary: I didn't sleep anything, super discomfortable. It's all about all the rooms, bad clothing. Coffee is half mouth, but in any case I've seen worse. The only positive point is that the reception official called ”D”. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the information that the system was out of the air and would take a little, then the same offered us 2 courtesy drinks for the event. The only thing I liked at the hotel, but you're only reserved in the last case if you don't want to get angry.

The counter attendants are very friendly and the breakfast is good but the corridors are dark, there is no minibar, there is no rug in the bathroom, 2 tiny towels and no face towel. The room smelled of cigarettes. Parking costs 57 reais per day.

I was hosted in this hotel last weekend - 02 to 03/07/2022. I have contacted me, and Mrs Vanessa has answered me, she kept the forgotten pieces, and the next day she sent me for Sedex with great delight and sympathy, and I would like to congratulate her on the sensitivity and empathy shown by that person. All the staff very careful and efficient.

I stayed here where my flight from Lisbon to Belo Horizonte was diverted to Rio de Janeiro due to the airport being closed due to the bad weather. So it was the airline TAP Portugal which arranged (and paid for) my stay here. And I really enjoyed it. The reception staff was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room had a nice view of mainly the hotel in front but also of the beach. It was clean, the beds were comfortable so just 10/10

The hotel is in a great location if you want to explore Rio. It’s located right off Copacabana beach and there are loads of supermarkets and good restaurants in walking distance. We have had no safety issues at all and Ubers typically will appear within 5 minutes and typically cost max £5 anywhere in the South Zone. We booked the hotel with breakfast included, which is absolutely fine. Some dishes in the buffet change per day, some are the same every day. The cakes are really good! The pool area is quite small but ideal to just go for a swim at the end of the day, and has some nice views. The reception is really helpful and most speak English or Spanish (which isn’t the case in most of Rio) as well as Portuguese of course. They also have a selection of excursions which tend to be cheaper than other providers. The only reason it’s not a 5/5 review is because the facilities are quite dated - particularly the air conditioning (it functions but it is quite loud). The room is cleaned every day, but not to the highest standards. But all in all, would definitely recommend it if you’re planning on seeing lots of Rio and need a more than decent base.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

The inn is excellent. Always very receptive to everyone and has an incredible structure. Very cozy and friendly. The rooms with the winter garden are the most beautiful things there are. Proximity to Rua das Pedras is absurd. 8 min walk from Buzios Bus Station. 6 min from Privilege and Buda Beach 15 min from Praia dos Ossos and another 5 min to Azedinha. In front of Americanas, McDonalds, restaurants with great cost/benefit. I will always stay at Selina when I am in Buzios. Congratulations.

Third time here... and they keep improving and surprising me and my family beyond imagination, for sure a world-class hotel filled with unique experiences, exceptional staff, and the restaurants are REALLY AMAZING !! Shootout to The Jul's and the brand-new Sushi 11 with a beautiful golf course view, everything is impeccable.. A reserved place, not only the accommodation price is reasonable, but also the price is reasonable, there is also a beach restaurant. Great breakfast, great stay.

Pousada nova, funcionários muito educados e prestativos! Custo/benefício excelente!!! Os quartos são muito confortáveis e tem varanda. O café da manhã é simples mas bom. Fica um pouco distante da praia mas não chega a ser um problema. A capacidade para automóveis é limitada a 3 vagas mas a rua é bem tranquila!!

A pousada é excelente, muito confortável! Ótima localização, próximo de posto de gasolina, dois mercados e várias lanchonetes. O atendimento muito agradável, as recepcionistas informam como chegar na praia de Geribá, ”virei a rua e já estava na praia - Muito pertinho!” Não precisa gastar com táxi para ir para o Centro (Rua das Pedras) basta pegar uma van ou ônibus que em 5 minutinhos estará lá, é sensacional. O café da manhã de domingo foi perfeito com muita variedade e as atendentes interagem com os hóspedes e você acaba se sentindo em família.

Breakfast is wonderful, the breakfast attendants are extremely polite and friendly, the view from the restaurant at the top of the hotel is very beautiful and you can see the entire beach of João Fernandes, Búzios. This same restaurant gives access to a very beautiful infinity pool that provides a wonderful view and beautiful photos. The hotel also offers a separate lunch, snack and dinner service with delicious dishes. It is no longer necessary to climb several flights of stairs. Currently, there is a follicular elevator that takes you to the highest floor of the hotel. This elevator has an attendant available at all times. The cleanliness of the hotel is exquisite and done with great care and attention, the bathrooms are very good, they have cold and hot water, all the devices in the bathroom are working properly. The rooms have new air conditioning and a very comfortable bed, the bedding is soft and clean, towels are changed frequently, the rooms have cable TV and the internet works correctly via Wi-Fi. I loved my stay and I will definitely come back again because excellent service must be recognized and exalted. I thank all the staff of the Hotel Búzios Mar Hotel.

What a charming and nice boutique hotel! the hospitality shown by the staff from the moment we arrived at the hotel and through our 5 nights stay, worth mentioned especially, the people hosting the breakfast! The hotel was located in the heart of the city centre and was very comfortable and very comfortable. El hotel es funcional, cama y baño cómodo. Juego para los niños, pileta, desayuno bien. Podes almorzar o cenar, es una buena opción porque no hay nada cerca. La playa es linda, tienen sombrillas y sillas gratis pero para nuestro gusto el mar era muy movido. Por lo que todos los días nos íbamos caminando (porque nos gusta caminar y a nuestros hijos tb) a Praia do Forte que esta a unos 5km. Para regresar tomábamos un uber. El precio del hotel estaba dentro de nuestro presupuesto, no buscamos lujos, x eso si no sos exigente con ciertos detalles, es una buena opción. Es un hotel sencillo. Nos tocó una habitación en planta baja justo frente a los juegos, x lo que a la mañana muy temprano o a la noche teníamos niños gritando en la puerta. La habitación q nos tocó, tenía ventilador, heladerita (vacia) y aire acondicionado. La cama cucheta, era de aglomerado y tenia todas las partes externas hinchadas y rotas (estimamos que la gente pone ropa mojada a secar en las puntas y por eso se rompieron).

Amazing place to stay, right at beach is excellent location. Room was great, staff extremely friendly. Very clean and they are in complaincy with Covid prevention and rules at been enforced at the hotel. The include breakfast is one of the best I had on my 45 years of traveling. Front desk and management is there for you!. They call us by our names, always smiling for you and much more. I will definitely come back. If you want the best room, ask for one with big balcony at front of the hotel. The view is amazing, room is very large (could use more furniture or have a spa in) but the view is priceless. I would recommend to stay away from rooms close to elevators because Brazilians are loud ( I am Brazilian lol) but overall close to the best area and food. It is an amazing suite with the best view but you got to be lucky to get that one, great view on second floor, easy to know, look my pictures and you will see why the view is priceless. I highly recommend visit Búzios but if you are not driving, ask staff to get you a driver if you need to visit cities near by, don't use any locals the hotel staff don't recommend. In Búzios, go in a busy days and try to be back before streets start getting empty. They call a driver for me and he even took me back to airport because I changed my plans and didn't have enough time to call my main transportation company WRio. Don't go by helicopter because is not a landing area near by, you will have to fly to Cabo Frio Airport. I do recommend this hotel and if you need to get there, you better call a transportation company, DO NOT GO BY BUS, I heard take hours because they stop at many places to pickup other passengers. Renting a car is an option but honestly with traffic, radars and gasoline at $7 per gallon, you will be almost the same using a transportation company. I used WRio Transport and was a Five star rating company. Excellent drivers, bulletproof vehicles and owner is on top of whole operation. They offer beach chairs and beach umbrella ( make sure get there early, umbrella is limited by city code enforcement) I could write so much but been by far the best place I ever stay at Pero Beach should be enough. For the ladies, ask to go to ”Rua dos Biquines”, you won't believe but a nice one is $10 and you will pay $65 in USA. At beach, right to your left is ”Barraca do Sorriso”, they have the best food and you eat at the table on the sand. Amazing food. I always prefer using professionals and read reviews before go anywhere and I hope this will help.

The perfect hotel where everyone is willing to help and host you. The breakfast leaves something to be desired, yes, but it's close to everything. It has a market and pharmacy in front of it, any type of store. 2 km from Cabo Frio passage, you can walk. And Praia do Forte can be reached by uber or by car...very close. Or if you like walking, it's worth it too. McDonald's, nice restaurants... even if you want to go out for dinner, Porto Alegre is the best place to go.

I was in this carnival and loved it, a wide hostel, ideal for children because it has a parking, kids area and a private swimming pool for children. Breakfast mto good, hot pool and pizza lovers have a pizza store inside the hostel q sells wonderful pizzas. I want to record the excellent service of all staff, especially Mr Paul, I always ask and mto benefit. Jussara and Israella girls always ready to help and always with a smile on their face and the boy q is in the restaurant rafael. (They value professionals so, because they are rare hj in the day) I loved the stay and I'll be back soon.

Good afternoon. I'm visiting the hotel at almost one year, and we never have passed so many disorders without a solution. Small problems, which accumulated, turned big things. *works in the apartment in front and around, was reported at the reception, they answered me that it was only that day, and extended, all the stay. * room packing, not made in any of the 3 days. * tumbled vase, no solution * swimming pool, shocking. for lighting * breakfast without butter (???) *Demagnetized card of the room, of all guests, making everyone there to make a new card, which generates more a loss of time. The noise persisted every day, the whole day, and it would be right to leave the walk vague, or the surrounding environments isolated.
