"Overall, I'm giving this hotel five stars, but it's not for everyone.
This place is for people seeking a slice of life...It promotes a slow pace and to really understand the hotels value you need to actually spend time there. Also looks really ideal of families - lots of area for kids to roam without getting into trouble.
If you just want a bed to crash in while spending most of your time outside, don't stay here.
Also if you want the most Instagrammable hotel around? Yes, book it.
Pros:
Amazing view, super peaceful. The layout feels like a camp you walk out and you're right in the common area, easy to relax. I came back late one night and heard absolutely nothing for a long time.
Service is genuinely 5-star; they really care about your experience. Some previous reviews mentioned they staff attitude is bad - I confirm this is either fixed or incorrect. Maybe I don't expect people to pamper me 24/7. There are plenty of staff and if you chat to them or make a request they will 100% help.
Rooms are cleaned well.
Some previous reviews said the aircon was bad, but mine worked great, and hot water never ran out, temperature is easy to control. Also, people said no food delivery - wrong. I got delivery even during a sandstorm, no issues.
Taxis and Didi come to the hotel fine, about 12 kuai from the center.
Cons:
The bathroom is extremely small. If you're over 177cm / 73kg or have a broad build, I can't recommend you stay here.
I kept bumping into walls, and the shower curtain stuck to my skin mid-shower – my biggest letdown.
The room gets hot, stuffy, and smelly if you turn the aircon off during summer days. I made that mistake once. I'd suggest the hotel install sensors to manage temperature or air out rooms when guests are out.
Breakfast is simple – looks and tastes fine, but gets repetitive and you can't choose from a menu."

"The location was perfect for us to visit the dunes and the mogao caves which were our priority for this visit. The manager was kind and helped us arrange taxis to go back and forth. The room was cleaned and neatened regularly. Breakfast, which was local, was ample and delicisous. We may have been visiting in the shoulder season as the hotel was in a state of repair and construction. The manager offered me two free beers if I gave him full stars, but I think it is important for reviews to be honest and constructive in their suggestions, otherwise it is a useless feature for the trip app to host reviews. So I paid for the beers and I hope all reviews on this app can be trusted! :)"

WwyypMy first time in Lanzhou, and my stay at the Hyatt was excellent! The front desk staff were warm and attentive, providing heartfelt service. The breakfast was quite substantial, with local specialties too. The room view was unbeatable, overlooking the Yellow River as it flows through the city, and the night view was also spectacular! The hygiene was also top-notch! Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay here again! Very happy.

GGuest UserTake the kids for a change of scenery! This B&B in Dunhuang is perfect for bringing kids. Any photo you take will turn it into a life-like portrait!
1. The rooms have a unique design, and I love the overall style. The bed in the family room is huge, and my two adults and two children slept very comfortably. The first-floor exterior view is beyond stunning, and any photo you take is a masterpiece. It feels so luxurious. The room is clean and well-lit. It's a perfect vacation for kids in Dunhuang!
2. I was initially worried about smells and other issues with the new renovations, but after arriving, I realized that this wasn't an issue at all. Full marks!
3. We arrived during dinner time, and unexpectedly, the B&B had food available. We ordered a few dishes, and they were surprisingly delicious. I recommend the fish and the big plate chicken—incredibly delicious!
4. The hotel's amenities, including amenities and appliances, are all very complete. They even have a capsule coffee machine. For someone like me who works in an office every day, daily coffee is a must! ☕️ This is truly a must-have! 💕
5. Staying here with children is hands-free; they can play in the pool and sandpit all day without leaving the house!
This stay was truly wonderful. I'll be back!

The check-in staff has a strong sense of service, the hotel facilities are also very good, and the swimming pool is very clean, so it is worth recommending.

The location is excellent, 10 mins walk to Mingsha Shan and Crescent Spring, surrounded by food and costume stores with varieties. the staffs are very accommodating from the front desk to cleaning ladies. I am female solo traveller who cannot soeak Chinese. I feel safe and comfortable to stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserNice hotel next to Tuanjie Xincun Metro Station Line 2, but not up to 5star level. We stayed for 3 nights, as I had prepaid. No English spoken either at the front desk or breakfast cafe. Room was on the 26th floor with a magnificent view looking South. Quiet room, smallish and with little hanging space and no safety box. Breakfast was Chinese and underwhelming. Nice indoor heated pool, but quite crowded with outsiders allowed to swim there. Fantastic gym with everything you could need and all to yourself. Probably stay here again for one night if the price was right. As a day trip, we went to Bingling Si. Take Metro to QiLiHe station on line 1. Walk east past KFC, take the 2nd pedestrian overpass, turn right then left after the touts near the public toilets. This is the Lanzhou West Bus Station. We caught the 9am bus for 23 yuan cash only and only available on the day. At the other end, organised a car for 4 people for 320 yuan. Last bus back at 5:30. It will leave earlier if full. Near QiLiHe station, great coffee place at 76 Jian Gong Xi Jie. Back from the bus station, past KFC, past Metro, left into Jian Gong Xi Jie. Try the 'dirty coffee '

GGuest UserCame with the kids for a weekend getaway. The hotel is very upscale and grand, with an impressively high lobby and new, stylish facilities. The front desk being on the 51st floor was a bit inconvenient. The room was clean, but the air conditioning had an issue; the first room was too hot, and we had to switch rooms. However, the service was excellent and very accommodating. They handled problems immediately. A manager with an accent, in particular, was incredibly efficient in resolving our issue. Definitely worth staying again.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel seven or eight years ago, and even though it's an older property, it's still kept very clean and tidy. All the staff I encountered were warm and friendly. It's really close to 'Carb Cross' (碳水十字), so I had Jinqiang one day and Mogouyan Beef Noodles the next. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor is also excellent; both the service and the food quality were great, so good I ate there twice!

Prior to my arrival, I had shipped a package to the hotel and requested that they hold it for me; however, a different staff member claimed they had no knowledge of the shipment and returned it to the sender. This incident completely threw my schedule into disarray. On the day of my departure, I asked the front desk to hail a taxi for me, but the staff member replied that they didn't have any taxi numbers on hand and told me to go outside and flag one down on the street myself. The parking attendants were no different; they didn't lift a finger to assist. In most hotels, staff members typically go out to the street to hail a taxi for guests, so this level of service was deeply disappointing. I sincerely hope that the hotel will strive to improve not only its physical facilities but also the quality of its service.

The hotel is about 1km east of the Leitai Han Tomb. There is an underground garage and convenient parking. Next to it is the [Han Tang Tianma City]. It is not in the city center. If you want to go shopping, you need to take a taxi or drive there.
Now it is off-season, and the hotel upgrades the guest rooms. Anyway, they open some areas to concentrate guests to reduce consumption, and guests also get benefits. The price is indeed cheaper than the peak season.
The breakfast is OK. After all, it is off-season.
The hotel is also new, and there is no problem with the facilities and equipment. It is quite good.
I gave 4 points for service because at the front desk, they said that they could not find the reservation. I couldn't bear to take the money for a refund of one, so I reminded the front desk to check it out. If I called Ctrip Room at that time, someone would have to pay money. The front desk replied that the group's direct order had not been received. I think there is another possibility that ebooking missed the order. The front desk manager handled it well. He took my platform order and let us check in first, and they will deal with it. If this situation occurs in the peak season, it will be great. I will order a refund of one.

GGuest UserThis was the best hotel we stayed at along the entire Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop. The doormen (employee numbers 42 and 55) were so welcoming and even helped us wipe down our car when they saw it was dirty. They were quick to bring our food deliveries right to our room. The hotel breakfast was also delicious; the beef noodles were better than what you'd find at some specialized restaurants. The environment was lovely too. Plus, there's direct access to the adjacent mall from the hotel's fourth floor, which is super convenient.
