I had a great time here. Everyone was super friendly and helped organise trips to the various sights around Zhangye. This made everything very convenient and saved a lot of travel time. They also send you information about the places to visit and eat on check-in. The hostel is very close to the Big Buddha Temple and museum, so very convenient for seeing sights in the city itself. It was also very clean and had lots of space and laundry facilities. Highly recommended overall!

I originally intended to stay 2 nights at Hyatt, but ended up extending my stay for 2 more nights because of the excellent service & the amazing view from my room. I switched rooms twice, because other customers secretly smoked in their rooms and the 2nd hand smoke infiltrated into mine, even though the hotel has a strict policy of no smoking. The staff and especially Owen, the front desk manager, was especially accommodating. He made every effort to see to my comfort during my stay, even upgrading my room and offering two free breakfasts because of the smoking issue. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel in Lanzhou - the service & room & pool & gym & food (the Lanzhou beef noodles) are excellent!

This hotel is great value for the price - big clean rooms, nice beds, and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast was a bit strange - the area was set up for full buffet but (I think because we’re here in off peak season) we were given individual trays of basic breakfast food. But the staff gave us exactly what we asked for so we were happy. The hotel is away from the town centre but it was very quick, cheap and easy to get a didi to restaurants and coffee shops. You need two full days to see all the sights of Zhangye so stay at this hotel 3 nights :)

The service from the staff at the front desk was excellent; they were very helpful and friendly when checking us in and giving us advice about where to go and how to get there. I would recommend staying here for the great location and good service.

She even took our luggage to our room and showed us around. The breakfast is free and very tasty, bottled water is unlimited, which is very helpful. This hotel also host foreign passport holders. I would strongly recommend you to try this hotel if you ever decide to travel to Dunhuang.

The brightness of the lights and the location of the layout make people feel very comfortable. The bath water and toiletries, which are very important for staying in a hotel, are all OK. We had a great stay here. It is clean and comfortable, and conveniently located in the centre of the city, with all major attractions within a 15 minute walk (Mingqing street; drum tower; Big Buddha temple; wooden pagoda and the connected square [lots of people dancing in the mornings and evenings—a must see!]). The receptionist was very helpful and friendly too. The hostel also organised affordable transport for us to and from Danxia rainbow sand dunes (50¥/person) and Mati temple (70¥/person); note that this is 1/3 of the price charged by private drivers or tour agencies! A good place to base yourself to explore Zhangye and nearby sites.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

Amazing hotel with view on the desert ! Comfortable and clean bedrooms. Very well located, next to the crescent moon scenic area, also in front of the outdoor show and 3 mn far from the town center by car. There is a shuttle bus to go to the town center and to the airport. The staff at the front desk welcomed us very warmly, they are really nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast is delicious and tasty, it is located on the roof top with view on the desert. I strongly recommend you this hotel.

The brothers that own the place are extremely friendly and helped drive us around to everything from the sights to their food recommendations that were all delicious. Not to mention beer, fruit and other drinks are all included at the hotel free of charge! It’s also walking distance to the oasis. To any foreigner wanting to travel here, these guys make it so easy and stress free, it’s worth it for them, plus there’s a place to swim amongst the heat and great air conditioning. You can see the dunes from the roof of the hotel too, where there’s tables and chairs to relax for a drink. Would come again in a heart beat.

When checking in, we upgraded to Building 3 for free, which is convenient for breakfast. The room has excellent sound insulation, and there are beautiful views outside the window and door! The only drawback is that when we extended our stay, we found that a bag of garbage cleaned in the bathroom was still thrown on the ground, which was a big contrast to the hardware facilities.

Orange Crystal is pretty good. The room is spacious and bright, and the service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The location is excellent, very close to Lanzhou West Station, the taxi starting price is about ten minutes walk. In the evening, you can go to Zhongshan Bridge to see the night view, and go to Xinguang Night Market to eat some snacks. It is also very close to Gansu Provincial Museum, where you can see the museum's BMW Stepping on Flying Swallow and learn about the history of the Hexi Corridor.
