It was fair for the price and in a good location for accessing the forest park via the East entrance. Great to be able to do our washing and hang it to dry on the covered rooftop. The air conditioning in our room was a bit hit and miss, going from cooling to heating during the night. Overall nice atmosphere.

1. The room was spacious with high ceilings and an open feel. Stepping out, you're greeted by the pool and mountain views.
2. Breakfast was plentiful, a delicious mix of Chinese and Western options, perfect for fueling up before heading out to the mountains.
3. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Mid Gate, which helps you avoid the crowds and tour groups typically found at the East Gate. This means no long queues, direct access to transportation, saving time, and avoiding stress – no need to wake up extra early during your vacation.
4. The owner was incredibly thoughtful and provided exceptional service. They helped us plan our itinerary even before we arrived. When the weather unexpectedly changed during our stay, they quickly adjusted our plans to make sure we made the most of the good weather. 👍

Great location, close to the historic district with convenient public transportation. Lots of food options downstairs. Facilities: The bed was just right, not too soft or too hard, so I slept comfortably. There's a small bathtub, good air conditioning, a TV, and even a partial river view. Hygiene: The room was cleaned daily. They provided bath bags and replenished room supplies promptly. Service: Timely and thoughtful, with instant replies to messages.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip to Changsha before, and this time I brought my family and drove here, choosing to stay here again. The location is excellent; it's convenient for shopping and dining even without a car. The views are first-class, and the front desk staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. They thoughtfully provide complimentary drinks, steam eye masks, alcohol wipes, dental floss, and earplugs, showing great consideration for every guest.

I wholeheartedly give this hotel a five-star recommendation! Its location is exceptionally convenient, right next to the central gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You can walk directly to the scenic area, which makes getting around incredibly easy.
The hotel's breakfast is very generous, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western dishes. The front desk staff are all young and enthusiastic. Not only did they patiently help us plan our sightseeing routes, but they also assisted with booking tickets. What truly impressed me was that when I was going to buy tickets at the hotel, the front desk staff kindly reminded us that buying them online would be cheaper. Their sincerity and honesty, without trying to overcharge us, was truly touching! The service experience was absolutely perfect. This is definitely my top choice for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

Our overall stay was excellent! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with four bedrooms and five beds, plus two bathrooms and two shower rooms. It was perfect for 10 adults and 2 children, not crowded at all. We had 24-hour hot water with no waiting, offering great value for money. The service was warm and attentive; they contacted us in advance with a check-in guide and a comprehensive Changsha travel guide covering major attractions and local food, which was really nice. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Four Seasons Zhangjiajie. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful in arranging transportation to both Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and they even helped us plan and map out the best routes for our sightseeing.
Communication through WeChat was always quick and responsive, and they went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay, and they kindly helped decorate the room, which made the occasion even more special.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is also excellent, with a restaurant right next door and plenty of massage shops nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit Zhangjiajie.

A hotel which is about 2 years old, everything is new. We were quite impressed with the smart controls in the room. We can command it to close the curtains, turn off n on the lights, ask about the temperature for the day etc. We opted for rooms with the mountain view and we could see it from the room window every-day subject to weather conditions. Waiting for the rooms when we arrived, the reception was very nice to explain to us in detail which route to take to tianmen mountain, zhangjiajie grand canyon, National Forest Park (Avater mountains). We decided to make our base at this hotel while taking the didi (1+ hr to n 1+hr back) to the grand canyon n national forest park. It is a hassle to travel around those areas with luggages. The cableway to tianmen mountain is 10 mins walk, very convenient. Be prepared to walk a lot. Lucky there is a foot n body massage on the 4th floor of the hotel. It was a saver to our legs after a long day at tianmen mountain. There were eateries around but we were not used to the spicy n oily food, the San xia guo is a hot item sold around there, we stayed away from restaurants selling San xia guo after one meal with it, we did not like it. We try to find restaurants with food that was gentler on our gut like haidilao n Korean BBQ buffet. There is a breakfast restaurant 5 mins walk from the hotel which is a heaven as the food is more to our liking, they even had fresh soy bean, dumplings, non spicy noodle soup. The hotel breakfast was not bad, good n light. Please get the meicha which is a herbal tea from zhangjiajie, good for relaxing before sleep and it is said to be good for the 3 highs. Available in the shopping areas, the store at the lobby of the hotel sells it too.
Overall the hotel is clean, quiet, good amenities, good location, good views. Just a feedback on one morning where we out for breakfast and left our belongings unlocked, we put the not to disturb door sign on the door but the housekeeper came in to clean the room. Please inform the housekeeper not to enter the room when there is no instructions to clean the room on the door sign.
This guesthouse was an unexpected delight on my trip. Both the design and the warm service far exceeded my expectations. Most of the room's design incorporates stone, showcasing a high-end and stylish feel. The view from the window is stunning, especially the night lights of Tuojiang River, offering a whole new experience. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

Amazing service - they were very accomodating and patient with us as we only spoke English. Awesome location where it was right next to the East gate entrance. They helped us book our passes to the National park, Grand Canyon and Tianmen Mountain at a discounted price. The facilities are very clean and aesthetic with a relaxing atmosphere. Very generous option in the breakfast buffet selection. Very tidy and clean room a d service. We had fun playing with the voice activation to turn the light on/off and opening/closing the blinds 😆. Definitely would visit again.

Very Good
I loved my time at this hotel, especially the modern interior design, cute cats roaming on the reception floor, and vicinity to the Zhangjiajie National Park (I think it’s worth moving to Wulingyuan for the park days as it saves the long drive to and from ZJJ City in the morning and afternoon). Receptionist was friendly and the complimentary Business Maxi Drive to the station at the end of our trip really helped top it off. It is a very “homely” hotel which you can tell every staff member was trying their best to help you. There was a slight issue with the buffet breakfast being cold/lacking variety, but this was fixed by my second day. Amazing stay!

Very good customer service!!! Really love the friendliness and the warm welcomes given by the peeps there! If you have any questions regarding on any of the attractions they will gladly be at your service! Giving tips such as how each route for the attraction works, roughly how long each route would take etc. Rooms were very clean and amenities such as the laundry were pretty good, best of them all were the free transportation service provided to and from the ZhangJiaJie National Park. Although sadly there weren’t many restaurants nearby to checkout, the breakfast provided was really good and filling enough before you start your walk around the parks! And if you are still hungry you could just get a quick food delivery :) Thanks guys for the very welcoming stay! We really enjoyed it!!

Exceptional Stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel My recent three-night stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel was absolute perfection! The second I walked in, the front desk team welcomed me warmly and finished check-in in minutes—no tedious waiting at all. My room was impeccably clean, with a plush bed that had me sleeping soundly each night. Waking up to the faint view of Zhangjiajie’s lush mountains through the window was a lovely surprise, and the room’s quietness made it ideal for relaxing after day trips. The breakfast buffet shone with fresh options, from crispy pastries to hearty hot dishes, and the coffee was always smooth. What truly made this stay unforgettable was Service Steward Xiao Yu—he remembered my preference for early breakfast, helped arrange a timely taxi to the scenic area, and even left a note with local snack recommendations. I’ll 100% book Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel again on my next trip and can’t recommend it enough—especially if you get to be assisted by Xiao Yu!

Very big hotel with lots of amenities including a well equipped gym, laundry room, billiards, etc. While the room was quite clean, the hotel itself is quite old. I didn’t like the layout of the bathroom but the room was quite big. Staff was respectful. There is also a restaurant in the lobby for both breakfast and lunch. The location is very convenient since it’s right at the entrance (~6min walk from fenghuang ancient town) and right in front of the bus station where they drop you off from the high speed train and where you will take the bus to the station.
Room was big and clean, a bit old but with complimentary water bottles. The staff was super helpful and nice, free shuttle transfer from/to train station and to/from scenic area. Fresh fruits as welcome gift and tea & local snacks as goodbye gift. Breakfast was very consistent, including noodles, dumplings, gyozas, etc.
Best service..bery friendly…help pick up and drop to cable way station…the boss / owner also very help and friendly…room very nice view to Tianmen mt and river. Very suggest here…and romantic place

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommend! We had a wonderful experience at Zhangjiajie Qishi Li Cave Homestay. The hotel contacted us days before arrival, arranged airport pickup, and even helped plan our visits to Tianmen Mountain, the Glass Bridge, and the National Forest Park. Our driver dropped us off to start sightseeing and brought our luggage to the hotel for us—such thoughtful service! When we checked in, we were surprised with a honeymoon room upgrade. Although we chose our original room for a cozier feel, the gesture was incredibly kind. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The location is perfect—about a 10-minute walk to the National Forest entrance. The staff truly made our trip. They helped book all our tickets, gave clear directions, and even assisted with food delivery. Special thanks to Sunny for planning everything, and to the staff member who brought us grapes and oranges late at night when we were craving fruit 😂. We’re recommending this hotel to everyone. Amazing service, great location, and unforgettable hospitality!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Located close to the east gate of 张家界国家森林公园, the hotel selected for us a room with mountain view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful to organize our visit around the national park, and also bought the tickets on our behalf, both for the national park and tianmen mountain. The room was big enough for three adults and extremely clean and warm, with plenty of water and snacks. Overall we were very pleased with our staying at this hotel, and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family!! Thank you!
