Central located in the heart of Karlovy Vary. Everything looks new, is in very good conditions and is very clean. The hotel gives you the charm and atmosphere of the old glory days. It has a lift and a water dispenser in the lobby. The breakfast room is like a five star restaurant. One negative point - breakfast starts at 8.30 am only and you are later, they might run out of several things. All in all - highly recommended!

The view is a city view room, the view from the window is very good, very close to the various attractions, breakfast is very rich, the important point is that the quilt is really soft and very light but very warm ~ no kind of hotel quilt feels a little wet, the room is very Big and very warm, I really like this hotel~Recommended recommendation, the price is very high~ If you want to go, you can ask the local traffic information of the hotel front desk, also help us to inquire and print it~ Figure 1 is taken from the window of the room we live in. ~

Karlovy Vary City Center
My stay at the Astoria Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Located right on the colonnade, you're in for a real treat - I was lucky enough to have a breathtaking view of the historic Karlovy Vary! :) The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, providing us with great recommendations on what to do in the city. The room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast selection was rich and satisfying. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a romantic weekend getaway or a rejuvenating family stay. :)
Savoy Westend Hotel

My experience at this hotel was bad. To start with: 1. Hotel credit card machine was not working. So everything had to be paid with cash. Who would expect to be walking around with 15,000 - 20,000 kronor in cash?? Going to city center and getting the cash cost us an extra $85 in transaction fees and poor conversion rates. 2. Being a small town and boutique hotel, very few people speak English. We made an appointment and went to the spa at the time. It was our first experience in a ”salt cave”. Nobody to tell us what to do. We lost about 10 minutes in this experience, but had to pay full price. Same thing with the mineral bath. Lost few minutes because there was nobody to guide us, but had to pay full price. Finally at check out time, we were told that their credit card system is not working for a month!!!. If that was the case, the hotel should have informed the guests in ADVANCE so that we would have made alternate arrangements. As for the hotel itself, it is a very nice property and enjoyable if the hotel can do a better job.
Hotel Thermal

Karlovy Vary City Center
Stayed here for a few nights for work during the 57th Karlovy Vary Film Festival. I liked this hotel although it was pretty hard to judge it properly as the entire place was PACKED due to the film festival with all areas and many floors of the hotel being used by companies and displays. It is a bit of an oddity in Karlovy Vary as it's a modern 15 floor tower / conference centre in a town full of Czech old world buildings (I can only imagine the uproar when they planned it). So it's a hotel that also has Spa / Medical Treatment / Swimming pool, thermal pool / pool party / conference centre and restaurants. It seems to be modern by local standards - I was in a superior room with a balcony on the 13th floor with great views. The room had all the mod cons available in most decent hotels, good wi-fi, USB Power outlets, nice firm bed, good regular housekeeping. One thing I noticed was that the beds didn't have a separate sheet, only a fitted sheet and then a throw over dooner - no big deal, just different. Downstairs restaurant doing breakfast / lunch / dinner with a lot of options and really good wait staff. There's a large separate building (accessed by hill climbing elevator) that has an outdoor heated pool, thermal pool, saunas, change facilities - there was also a Pool Party with DJ, bar etc on the weekend days / nights (I assume that's just in summer or just during the film festival). I believe you get complimentary access to the pools /saunas for a couple of hours every day of your stay - I used it every morning for laps, it was great. In the pool complex there's also a decent restaurant with amazing views. As I said, the place was packed and the staff all seemed to handle it well. Everything you could want outside the hotel is a short walk away and there's SO many restaurants / bars etc to choose from. Karlovy Vary wasn't on my list of places to visit, but now that I've been there I'd consider going back.
Hotel Palacky

We were looking for a dog-friendly hotel, which often limits the choice a bit. The main features of the Hotel Palacky were the location and the value for money. The hotel is in a fantastic location right on Stará Louka, the ”promenade” of Karlovy Vary. Both the famous colonnades and the entrance to the cable car towards the ”Diana” lookout tower are almost around the corner. Surprisingly, I was able to sleep very well in the beds and cannot agree with the complaints, at least on this point. Now to the points that unfortunately attracted negative attention: the reception was not manned at check-in, our key was on the counter together with an information letter - this is uncomplicated, but everyone could simply come in and ”move into” our booked room. since nothing had to be shown or checked (as well?!). The room itself was large with an additional hallway and separate bathroom and toilet - which I personally find very convenient. Unfortunately the room was not cleaned during the whole stay. You don't have to do a big cleaning every day, after all you don't do that at home either. I also find the daily change of towels unnecessary. But if you have a dog with you and the entire room is carpeted, a little vacuuming would have been appreciated. The garbage should also be emptied, because there was only one small hygiene bucket in the toilet for the entire room - everything that accumulated in waste had to be disposed of there. The supply of toilet paper should also be checked once in a while and refilled if necessary. We found a fairly large crack in the window pane of our room - dangerous and unsightly! However, what was cleaned every day was the restaurant which is located in the hotel. There was vacuumed daily at breakfast time, so that you were always exposed to the noise during the meal, since the restaurant - with an open ceiling - is located directly under the breakfast room. It goes without saying that it is commendable and also acceptable that vacuuming is done every day, but I wonder whether this can be discussed and planned differently. Breakfast was until 10 a.m. - maybe you can do other activities first and vacuum from 10 a.m.? Due to the room layout of the house, one inevitably gets the impression that vacuuming is carried out right next to the dining table. The breakfast was okay, you shouldn't expect luxury in this price and hotel category. There was enough choice, it was always refilled and you were full - at home I don't have 5 types of bread in stock, which I serve every day. However, a little more choice of fruit would have been nice (there were apples every day, but nothing more). Unfortunately, there is no hotel parking lot - you should
Ensana Nové Lázně

This is one of the best hotel of this chain in Marianske Lazne. I would like to mention several main areas…. Room…Spa procedures…Eating. Room…We had an executive suite containing two small rooms with balcony and the bathroom. Rooms were nice, but not everything was working properly. Defect on the floor just behind the main entry doors was quite weird and the first impression was quite bad. It was not possible to manage the Air Condition system directly from the room even though there was some remote control unit on walls. This was second bad impression. There is a large TV in both rooms. Bathroom was nice, quite cold without any floor heating. Towel warmer in the bathroom did not work. Another bad impression. Bed was large enough, mattress was comfortable. But what was really horrible are pillows and duvets, sheets and total bedding full of some artificial not comfortable materials. This was really bad. Spa procedures were just perfect. I enjoyed many of them and always I was satisfied. Nothing to add. Just use them. Eating…We had a half board scheme. There was nothing I was missing during breakfast. Quality of all food was just perfect. Dinners were delicious. Buffet form of dinners is something you really enjoy. General conclusion? This was a really good stay. The staff here is really friendly. Atmosphere of the hotel is very positive. There are several details in the room which need some refurbishment, but the overall service, as I felt it, was above high average. Parking…it is possible to park your car here. There are not many parking slots in front of the hotel, so the service must be reserved in advance.
