I had a fantastic stay at the Ameron Hotel. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short distance from Neuschwanstein Castle and right by the beautiful Alpsee. It made exploring the area incredibly easy and enjoyable.
The hotel itself is very clean and modern, with thoughtful design and great attention to detail. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding—plentiful, high-quality, and with a great variety to suit every taste. It really exceeded my expectations.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Ameron Hotel to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re here for the sights or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a perfect choice

In diesem Hotel ist alles stimmig. Vom Frühstück - super umfangreich, am Sonntag von 7-11 Uhr bis zum Ambiente in der Bar oder Sitzgruppen im Anschluss an die Bar. Für Wellness und Freibad gibt’s entsprechende Angebote. Ein all in one Erlebnis. Ein unschöner Punkt ist das Bett, das aus 2 zusammenhängenden Betten besteht. Die einzelnen Betten sind recht schmal, sodass ich immer wieder mit der Besucherritze Bekanntschaft machte. Entweder ein größeres Einzel Bett buchen, oder Queensize oder größer auswählen. Interessant ist auch der Vorhang, der sich mit Knöpfen verschließen lässt.

The room was spacious, bright, comfortable, warm, and practical. The environment was quiet and cozy. It was also clean and hygienic. The service staff had a pleasant attitude. I highly recommend the breakfast; it was plentiful, delicious, and nutritious.

Please book this hotel, it's only 25mins from old town and it is equipped with microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, culinary tools with cozy room and decoration. The biggest advantage is that they have 24 hours reception ! If u have problem, they will solve it very fast. 10/10 service !

This is our favourite hotel in Nuremberg!! Attention to detail on every step of the experience, their crews were simply amazing! They are happy to serve you, not one person but every staff that I encountered. I got a surprise birthday cake in my room with a hand written note, am truly grateful and heartfelt. So thank you, Karl August your neighbourhood hotel. 5 stars and beyond. We will be back again for sure!

GGuest UserFor a hotel located by the lake with a relatively high rating, I naturally expected a comfortable and reasonably spacious room with a nice lake view. However, I booked a single room and was honestly very disappointed upon entering. The room was extremely small, the bed felt cramped, and the ceiling was very low due to the sloped roof which means I couldn’t even sit upright on the bed comfortably.
Even worse, there was no proper view through the window at all. The window was tiny, making the room quite dark, and it didn’t face anything pleasant. The photos on the website were also quite misleading and did not match the actual room I received. For a room priced at around €150 per night, this kind of space and condition feels unreasonable.
To be fair, the facilities in the whole are fairly good. There is a wellness area, a gym, and a restaurant with great food and a nice view. However, the restaurant is also quite expensive, and breakfast is not included and must be paid separately. Given the pricing, I don’t think these aspects deserve excessive praise.
What really matters is the room itself. Paying €150 per night for a room of about 15 square meters, with an average ceiling height of less than 2.2 meters and a very tiny window facing other’s balcony, honestly made me feel misled. In my opinion, the room quality does not match the price at all.

And in this holiday we came back to Munich, bring our whole family to explore more about Munich, and decided back to this hotel, because of the previous experience. And again we all are very satisfied. All the staffs were again very very friendly, the room was very clean, the breakfast super, and the location right in front of the train station. The hotel looks new and modern, and being part of the Marriott Group, we had high expectations. Upon arrival, it felt more like a city hotel than a resort—small, with nothing particularly impressive in the daytime. Nighttime lighting is nice. The location is okay but not lakefront. Reception is fine, the bar opens only at 5pm, and the sauna is excellent, especially the Finnish sauna with a relaxing essential oil scent, though it closes early at 8pm. The indoor pool is small, but the spa area is relaxing. Room 124 was a corner room with a lobby parking view. Everything was modern, very clean, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Room size is moderate but has all basics, including bathrobes, slippers, towels, and good toiletries. Breakfast is very good for Germany, with hot dishes, a la carte options, champagne, and honeycomb. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Parking at £19 is expensive; including it in the room rate would improve value. Overall, hospitality is good with early check-in allowed, but the hotel feels more like a 4-star city hotel than a 5-star mountain resort.

Booked a room for triple. It was handicap accessible. Have a huge bathroom. The breakfast was a huge plus point, lots of varieties warm and cold food. Special order for the omelette. Location is about 5 mins from the train station as well as walking distance to the old town
