The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The coffee shop is very pleasant and has a fantastic terrace with barbecue.

The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the historical centre, the double rooms are large and well equipped, the only thing that is missing is something more sound-soiled as the noise of the rooms and girls is heard more clean as from outside. The breakfast is very good and varied in addition to the roommates and roommates being very serviceful and careful. The parking is within the average size but the price seems excessive given that there is a 2-minute public parking that costs much less.

We arrived and there was no staff at reception, a number of people were waiting,one lady was phoning the hotel but still no one one came, waiting about 25 minutes. Eventually a man came out looking flustered, but didn't apologise for keeping us waiting. The room was very clean, had everything we needed but the bed was uncomfortable and it wasn't a good night sleep. Parking was great, location was good. Didn't eat there, we paid 4€ for a glass of wine which was expensive in comparison to other similar hotels that we had stayed in on our journey

We, a couple with 4-year child, made this reservation because of the swimming pool. But the swimming pool opens 11h30am and the check-out time is 12h00. It makes no sense. The breakfast staff (not inside the hotel) took 1 hour to complete. They were very busy with many costumers. The room was clean.

We chose this hotel for its location and the private parking. We reserved 2 nights, but only stayed one. We arrived in the afternoon and noticed that the room was full of dust. The door handles were rusted. The small fridge was still dirty inside. This shows that they are not even cleaning it. The sheets were very thin and worn out. Both sheets and comforter were so worn out that they had a light gray color. The bathroom was in need of a good deep cleaning. A lot of dust and scratched areas. We cleaned some areas and all handles with some hand sanitizing wipes that we had brought and removed as much of the dust as possible. At that time, it was too late to find another hotel in the area, so we decided to enjoy Caceres and leave the next day. We checked on hotel.com and were able to add a night to the next hotel on our trip. We did not even unpack. We enjoyed Caceres the entire day and stayed out until late at night. The next day we left early to enjoy more of Caceres. At 2:00pm, after we had lunch, we returned to the hotel to check out. We didn’t want to waste our time giving details to the front desk person, we just wanted to leave. There was nothing this hotel was going to do to keep us there another night. It was not just the dirty room, the overall feel of the hotel just wasn’t right for us. This hotel has a lot of people coming in and out, which explains the wear and tear of the place, but not the dirty conditions. She was very apologetic that we wanted to leave, even though we didn’t complain we just said we wanted to leave, and said that she was going to call hotels.com to see if they could refund that night, but she didn’t think they would and explained something about how they pay them, etc. We told her we did not want a refund. We used the hotel to keep our luggage (we even put the do not disturb sign) and used the parking so we could stay late to enjoy more of Caceres, but now we wanted to leave. She then checked us out, we paid parking and left. When you check in, the front desk puts the room keys inside a box that seemed to be sanitizing the plastic card with ultra violet rays, yet he touched our passports and handed them back to us. They key process is more for a show. They need to pay more attention to what their cleaning staff is not doing. Judging from the amount of people that were there, they might be doing a very quick turn around on those rooms. That is not good, especially during this pandemic. We noticed a previous comment from “Juan Torres, Director General at Gran Hotel Don Manuel” stating they refunded us the money for that night. I rewrote this review to address his comment. Sr Torres, that is not true. We checked our credit card today, in case we missed it, all we have is the parking charge from this hotel. Had there been a refund, it would have come from hotels.com because we booked through them and paid in full through them. We really liked this hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. Nice size pool with plenty of sun lounges. Location was good, it was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as accessing the towns main attractions. We had a car and managed to find street parking just opposite, they do have a loading zone at the front if you want to drop off your bags and then drive and find parking (if nothing in the street near the hotel, try the streets near Leclerc Supermarket)

Right in the center of historic Plasencia with great onsite parking; superior rooms, architecture plus a great gym with sauna, steam path and pool. Plus, the lovely and chic bar in the former Medieval wine cellar is gorgeous with superior bar service. The food: some of the best Spanish cuisine we've ever had. Make SURE to take the chef's recommendations on local specialties, including ”migas” for breakfast

Very central, is ideal to explore the old town or to walk along the pleaseant river banks or across over the bridges. Parking can be a headhake, although free (there is parking inside the hotel at €12,50/day. The staff is very kind and accomodating, always ready to help. It’s a reasonable 4* hotel, but it is starting to need little bits of renovation. Spacious room and comfortable bed. If you book well in advance you might get a better price. Little discount if you become a (free) member of Sercotel. Great stay. Recommend the hotel. Will go back again.

Ha sido una decepción total. Cuando llegas te encanta la decoración que tiene, pero según van pasando las horas la cosa va de mal en peor. Reservamos para una noche contratando para la tarde spa y masajes. Varias cosas: - Spa: pequeño y sin apenas fuerza de los chorros, vamos que parecía que estábamos en una piscina y ya. Mi pareja se resbaló y casi se abre la cabeza, ahora está con moratones en un brazo. A destacar positivo, que te ponen infusiones, cava, pero lógicamente en 60 minutos, entre estar en la sauna, ”jacuzzi” y tumbonas apenas disfrutas de la botella de cava. - Masajes: lo mejor del hotel. El chico muy profesional, educado y sabedor de su trabajo, sin duda lo mejor del hotel y lo que volvería a contratar sin dudarlo. - La habitación: pequeña, suficiente quizás para dos personas. A destacar bueno y malo. Bueno: comodidad de la cama. Malo: mucho, por enumerar diría que según pasaban las horas empezó a producirse un olor desagradable del baño, pero muy muy malo . Cuando llegamos del teatro nos encontramos con una visita: una cucaracha grande en la pared, que se metió en un hueco que tiene el techo, luego intuimos que estaba más que acostumbrada a asomarse y que no estaba sola. Por lo que mi resumen del fin de semana, es pésimo, no repetiré en el hotel, salvo por el masaje.

Very comfortable room. Location excellent on Plaza Espana in centre of Merida. Very good breakfast. Good variety of food on offer. Staff very competent and friendly. Rooftop pool helped us cool off after day of sightseeing. Did not use hotel valet parking service as considered price too high. Hotel reception staff were more than happy to show us suitable location for free on street parking, which worked well for us.

Hotel located 5' from the historical centre, with a large and complete room, with a outdoor bathroom and a terrace with beautiful views of the Sierra with chairs and table. There is also a cafeteria with gift capsules. Good attention in reception and in the bar. They also offer menus for eating and dining for €16 with attractive dishes. They also have a very cosy swimming pool surrounding natural herb, With some tumbling and shadows.

El hotel está situado a unos metros de la Puerta de Talavera que te da acceso directo a la Plaza Mayor y desde allí poderse mover para visitar la ciudad. Esta situación privilegiada tiene algún pequeño inconveniente que se soluciona con el correo previo que te envían dándote indicaciones de donde realizar la descarga del equipaje y dónde aparcar (ambos justo enfrente del hotel). Mi recomendación es que si tienes contratado el aparcamiento, por cierto, no muy ancho en sus plazas y con accesos de complicación media, vayas directamente a él y subas las maletas (pregunta antes por el acceso de los distintos ascensores). Si no, en el GPS sitúa la zona de descarga para evitar dar alguna vuelta de más por sus calles. El hotel es en general antiguo... y en particular, también. Escalera con moqueta en todos los tramos, decoración e instalaciones ad hoc. La habitación que tenía, muy amplia, estaba, en mi opinión, desaprovechada. Al cuarto de baño se le nota el uso y van cambiando los elementos según necesidad. Estrechito el mío, porque para sentarte en la taza tienes que estar en diagonal si mides más de 170 cm. Terrazón desaprovechado pero agradable para estar por la noche tomando el fresco (el mobiliario de la terraza escaso y en regular estado). Cama muy cómoda a mi parecer. La atención del personal, tanto de recepción como de cafetería, muy buena y son muy amables. Solo hay disponible desayuno, que es correcto, de todo un poco (hay de todo, pero poco).

Had a delightful three days stay here. Were on route from Bilbao to Lisbon via a few places and stopped here as we had heard about the unique history of the towns nearby. Hotel is a short distance outside Caceres but very quiet and serene. The hotel itself is really lovely and the large pools area with bar is a joy. We really relaxed here and enjoyed our time. Food was very good both for breakfast and for dinner. Staff very nice and helpful. We visited Trujillo, Guadalupe, Cacares and then went on to Merida. Would highly recommend

Madrid drove back to Lisbon over the hotel. The hotel is very cost-effective, with free parking, about 15 minutes to the restaurants and shopping streets in the town centre.

We choose this hotel because we already where there. Nice hotel with a very helpfull and friendly staff and a good restaurant. On our arrivel early in the afternoon we got already in the entrance a “strong smell of the sewers” who you could smell in the whole hotel and this until the other morning. We used the restaurant service on our arrival, and also in the evening, then we got our second bad experience, there were arrived 3 coaches with Chinese tourists, in total 101 of them. We got them in the room next door and it seems to us that they were remodelating the complete room, they moved with the furniture for about 3 hours, then in the restaurant they were more than noisy, they do not have any respect or education at all, lucky for us the staff has moved them into another room for the breakfast in the morning, they arrive with thermoses and bacpack to fill them with drinks and food for the day, we have this experience from other hotels where we had also Chineses in the hotel.
