Great location. A very nice spa. The hotel room is unfortunately quite old, the shower was cold, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are very thin making it hard to sleep.

Guest UserOut of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip, the DoubleTree by Hilton was definitely our favorite, followed by Hampton and Holiday Inn. Sticking with chain hotels really does save you from bad experiences. This particular DoubleTree is located in the Cotswolds, making it super convenient for visiting the nearby towns. Before checking in, we popped over to Bibury. As the sun set and the tourists left, the town was absolutely serene and beautiful! We had planned to wake up early the next day to experience the peaceful beauty of Bourton-on-the-Water before the crowds arrived, but the youngsters just couldn't get out of bed, so that plan fell through. There's a local supermarket right next to the hotel, which has a great selection and good prices – perfect for stocking up on snacks if you're driving. The breakfast was delicious, and the welcome cookies were a lovely treat. The environment is beautiful, and I'd definitely recommend it. If you're driving to the Cotswolds, staying here is an excellent choice!

Guest UserNot worth the price. The place is stunning don’t get me wrong. However, it was a bit disappointing in terms of hospitality and the cleanliness of the hotel room was a bit disgusting with a vape and used slippers under the bed with hairs in the bath upon arrival. Furthermore, no TV remote and any information of what to do in the hotel.
Breakfast was brilliant but when you weigh the price of the hotel and the hospitality, I just don’t think £300 was worth the stay. Furthermore, the spa was rammed with children and parents so the size to person ratio was a bit much. Furthermore, restaurants are always booked up and it’s difficult to get a reservation unless you want to end up in the horsebox restaurant last minute.
Bartender was rude when under pressure from the restaurant as I asked for a drinks menu, to which he pointed me to go and get the menu for it. So just ultimately a bit disappointing especially since a room is nearly half a grand.

Guest UserEasy to check in and out. Plenty of parking and very clean. Had a room on ground floor and could hear a dog barking so not sure where that came from but it didn’t really bother us (odd bark at night and in morning). Really good that price includes pool and sauna etc. would definitely stay again for the price paid.
We didn’t eat there as just slept there whilst visiting family nearby. Quality fittings and comfy beds and decor, much better than a lot of places around the area!

We were disappointed on arrival to find that we had been allocated a standard room, instead of the Opulent one we had booked through trip. The receptionist was very nice but wasn’t able to give us the room we booked as there wasn’t one available. She gave us a slightly better room which was ok but looked like it was ready for a refresh. We needed to call reception as there wasn’t no hair dryer in the room but there was no instructions for using the phone, when we worked it out there was then no answer! We then needed reception again later as our neighbours were playing really really loud music, again no answer. Besides this, the hotel was very nice, the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, the pool was nice and the breakfast was good. We would stay there again but book direct.

Guest UserWe stayed during the hottest few days of may
And the room was quite warm!!! The fan was only adequate I would say the balcony could have done with a bit of revamp to the wooden furniture and a Flick with duster ! However , minor really as the hotel is very nice staff friendly and the breakfast choices are fabulous! Not so much in the brasserie restaurant a bit expensive for the choice too
Plus There is a sneaky service charge!
Why I don’t know as the first night the service took ages and it wasn’t busy !
Overall good

The hotel was clean however the decorations are dated. I have some noise issues in my room, a constant deep humbling sound from midnight. I am not sure what that is, it sounded like behind the wall, above the ceiling. It was very bad and lasted a whole night and I could not sleep at all. The sound made me feel sick , very unwell and hard to describe. I found it hard to breathe at one point. After almost three hours of noise disruption , I could no longer bear it anymore and contacted the help desk. To be fair, the staff were helpful and offered me an alternative room opposite my original room. Although the sound was less noisy in the new room but didn't go away. I am very disappointed with this experience and don't want to go back anymore.

We stayed here for Badminton Horse trials and had a great time! The staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. The breakfast was nice and there was a wide range of food available. We had dinner there every night as well which was lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We only really stayed here as a base to go out and explore Gloucester. The bed was comfortable and the room was ok.The bathroom was nice and the best part of the room. The room was absolutely boiling, there was no air conditioning (which wasn’t a huge issue for us),but the radiator was was on even though the dial was in zero.Even though the window was open,it was way too hot in the room. The spa was ok,the pool wasn’t very warm and the jacuzzi wasn’t really blowing any bubbles. Was a good location to visit Gloucester and the quays are a lovely place to visit. We won’t be staying at the hotel again, but did the job for what we required.
