Hotel looks very posh. Unfortunately thats where it stops. The family room was large but lacked character.
The gym facilities was extra charge
Breakfast was OK. But plates and bowls were filthy
We travel to Midlandsa lot. We wont be staying here again.

We chose this hotel, about a 30-minute drive from home, for a one-night stay so the kids could go swimming. They were so excited before we even left. After checking in, we rushed to the pool, only to be told that children weren't allowed after 6 PM and could only use it after 9 AM the next morning. However, check-out was at 11 AM, which left very little time.
So, I contacted Trip.com customer service to request a late check-out. During the first call, the hotel said they would charge £10 per hour for late check-out. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and thanks to Trip.com's proactive coordination, the hotel finally agreed to a free two-hour late check-out for both rooms. The kids had a fantastic time the next morning, which was a huge plus.
The hotel is newly renovated, and the overall facilities are quite good for a UK hotel. Dinner was also decent, though the steak was a bit disappointing. Luckily, the waitstaff were very friendly and didn't charge us for it. IHG's service philosophy was generally well-reflected.
However, the hotel seemed a bit understaffed. There were only two people at the front desk, so checking in required a bit of a wait. After check-in, no one showed us to our rooms, and the layout was a bit confusing, making it easy to get lost. I hope the hotel can improve in this area in the future. Also, it would be even more appealing if they could add some family-friendly room types.
Beautiful grounds. Thankfully the heating in the room works. There are however no lifts and the way to the rooms from reception is confusing. But nice staff, and Sherelle at the restaurant who was our waitress was amazing and thoughtful and made sure my team and I were well looked after.
The price is not expensive, the hotel is self-driving, the location may not be convenient for ordinary tourists. More general hotel, the decoration is also old. Hotel environment is good, useless for passengers, suitable for slow travel, leisure.
Myself and sis visited our absolute favourite place for a little one night catch up ( we always come here whenever I’m home to visit) Lovely lovely staff ( Hi to Josh, Charlotte, Rachel and the fab teamx) They always warmly welcome us, and we enjoy smashing facilities, great food and drinks and always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. A really lovely stay again this time. Huge thanks to all for your wonderful hospitality. Until the next time. Take care Karen and Wendy xxxx
Although we put the Do Not Disturb placard on our door our room was entered and our luggage was rifled through. We were fortunate that we carried nothing valuable and nothing was taken. Otherwise I the hotel was adequate and our purpose was served .
This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay fir work the bed was extremely comfortable room
Very bright and clean reception was lovely the lady on night shift very chatty and welcoming
Breakfast was perfect nice spaces and food choice of food fully recommend this hotel and credit to the manager
There was no hot water across the hotel when we arrived. They didn't tell us in check-in and said there was a sign instead. They didn't bother to use initiative and keep gym pool shower changing rooms available instead, as they needed member of staff to be present !! Not well organised during this incident.
The pool, sauna and facilities are APPALLING and in bad state and needs urgent updating. Full of kids ruling the pool & jacuzzi and staff members don't care. Hygiene is not a top Priority .
Location is easy accessible by car off motorway. Many small takeaway and restaurants near by.
This hotel has seen better days unfortunately.. Maybe it was once a main hotel chain but the current owners are struggling to keep on top of issues. .The first room offered to me had a mouldy damp smell. The second option was better . But overall I couldn't recommend a stay here.

Very Good
GGuest UserAll staff were excellent always very helpful, facilities need refreshing hotel needs sprucing up, gym equipment tired and ripped Pool small.
Chairs in the bar area either dirty or broken, very busy hotel trying to be too many things to too many people. Tried to book Spa on Saturday or Sunday both full.
Breakfast basic to say the least.
It was a shame, as once again the staff made our stay.
GGuest UserGood location close to M42, free parking onsite, easy access to reception check in was straightforward lifts to all floors and the room was perfect clean and warm.
self service for buffet breakfast good variety for every taste. would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

IIPATravelsOverall good, the room looks a bit dated and the AC was not working so had a warm evening. The shower took about 5 mins to work but overall good for the money.
BBumblebee06Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa.
However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience.
There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. During these days if you happen to take your car out and come back with no free parking space, you lose your money. Your slot is not reserved. It would be better if they charge us for parking when we are leaving the car park rather than making us pay in advance.
Overall, a comfortable hotel with excellent amenities, but clearer information on room facilities would have made the stay much smoother. I would have come better prepared.
DDr Massey NazarianIt was generally a good stay. The only two issues I had this time were:
1- The shower drain was almost blocked. It took me ages to take my shower as the water was about to flood and I had to clise the water and wait for it to be emptied before I could open the water again.
2- the was not enough toilet paper.

GGuest UserNice hotel, quiet, big parking. They have complimentary shuttle bus from Birmingham International station which wasn't mentioned in the booking email received. So ended up using cab from the airport for £15 or so. This hotel is not inside the airport so don't get confused with another Holiday Inn which is inside the airport ground and walking distance to Departures.
