From start to finish, my stay at the Abbey Court Hotel was nothing short of brilliant. My stay was part of the Best Friend package which included Bed & Breakfast, a bottle of prosecco on arrival, a four course meal in the Butler's bar with an after dinner cocktail of your choice from a great cocktail/mocktail menu, as well as a treatment in the amazing treatment rooms. Every aspect of this package exceeded my expectations and the attention to detail in the hotel is outstanding. I was in contact with the amazing Michelle who couldn't have done more for us. She made our stay so personable. From the girls on reception to the bar and restaurant staff, everyone was so kind and helpful, especially the lovely Callum who looked after us for the night! The girls Cam and Helie in the treatment rooms went above and beyond for us. They were both so attentive and it was the little touches like our personalized robes and complimentary fruit platters while we relaxed after our massages that really made the whole experience memorable. I will definitely be returning again and would highly recommend a stay in the Abbey Court Hotel!

We stopped off here on our way home to Kilkenny for a bite to eat, it was a warm afternoon and we opted to sit at the privided tables outside. There was pros and cons to this place... On the upside, * The decor was well done * The food was delicious * The waitress was very pleasent On the downside * The only menu that appeared available was a bar menu, we were all hungry and had wanted a substantial meal * The bar menu was very limited * I ordered chowder and my husband order the butchers daughter sausage rolls, neither of these were available despite being on the sparse menu. * We settled for a salad and asked if chips could be served with it and the waitress told us that was no problem. * Our drinks and food eventually arrived and the waitress informed us that the chips could not be served outside, so had been removed from our order, the reason why the chips could not be served outside is a total mystery. * 2 small salads and 1 chicken sandwich €50 * The tiled ground was uneven with several hazard tripping points.

This hotel is special -situation is great, food and rooms lovely. But most of all the staff are exceptional especially Pauline and her colleague on reception. We were going to look for my Nan, born in Cahir and I hadn’t been able to find her online. They went out of their way to find someone who could help us, locating Joe Walsh, a local historian who was incredibly helpful in our search. This team should teach courses in customer service! It was a lovely stay at the Anner hotel. Paul at reception was so welcoming and friendly. He called us as soon as the room was ready and was very helpful with our bags. Lovely location and lovely food. Had both carvery and the dinner menu everything was just brilliant.

As a member of Ballykisteen golf club that has previously had a negative outlook on the hotel I think it’s only fair to share the positive too. This summer has seen the previous best of hospitality in the hotel both matched and surpassed. The staff are that bit more experienced than previous years. The food has come along leaps and bounds. Particularly the new roast beef and fish and chip have become golfers favourites. The atmosphere around the whole hotel has been a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work.
