Hyatt Raipur
4.1/544 Reviews
The hotel is located in excellent location. Its part of an upscale mall, magneto, but there are a couple of disappointing things. The service is poor. The staff is excellent and helping. They are super cool. But seems Hyatt Raipur is running with limited staff. Room design isn't of holiday inn or JW status. The room service takes time in responding to the phone calls. Though they were great to provide me breakfast after the closing time. But the service takes longer than usual.
Singhania Sarovar Portico
4.4/541 Reviews
Situated within walking distance to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Sarovar Portico (Singhania) is a very comfortable 4 * hotel. You may consider it as a compact city hotel with 60 rooms, restaurants, event hall, spar and a business center. It lacks a swimming pool. However, I don't think it's a deal breaker for most of the guests. The hotel is extremely well designed and pleasing to the eyes. Great interior decoration making use of unique Chattisgarh arts is in harmony with the architecture and furniture. Color combinations used inside the hotel are hues of brown and beige giving the premises a beautiful evening glow. On the side of the reception there are traditional sculptures that are quite distinctive. The rooms are well designed and adequately furnished. The glass walled bathroom is well appointed too. The large bed is firm and comfortable. The work desk with chair and additional seating with a round table are very useful. WiFi works satisfactorily. The central air-conditioning does a very good job. One will notice that There's adequate lighting inside the room covering all the corners. There's tea coffee making facility and a mini bar. The luggage storage bench is very adequate in size unlike some of the other places. There's a lighted wardrobe inside which is a safe deposit box. The Access card controlled entrance is convenient. Television on the wall opposite the bed has a cable TV connection. However, it might not have enough channels for an international traveler. The restaurant serves delicious meals and the staff is very helpful. The interior design of the restaurant is commendable. Soothing music is played during meal times. I stayed for 6 days and still had enough variety in the menus not to be bored. This hotel being part of the Sarovar chain is a sort of a hidden gem in Raipur.

Grand Dhillon Hotel
4.6/516 Reviews
We stayed over 2 weeks. The family had multiple rooms on the same floor. We got to know the floor plan, the routines, and the staff well. Visiting Bhilai next time, we would not stay anywhere else. One thing - although amenities and staff were exceptional, it never felt overwhelming. We could navigate through hotel spaces, meet visitors, and have spontaneous meeting in the spacious lobby without any hesitation. Staff was always there to help but always non-intrusive. It seems that even their attire/colors have been designed to be non-obtrusive - shades or blue rather than yellow/red. In terms of comfort, cleanliness, environmental control, use of technology in rooms, wi-fi bandwidth, room service, house keeping - it was all tops, 5 stars out or 5. And just for fun, while staying at Grand Dhillon we explored other top-notch properties in Bhilai (we were planning for a potential extended stay) - there are other good ones for sure, but Grand Dhillon is undoubtedly a notch above all. Food - breakfast was wonderful - buffet style - a combo of continental and Indian, plus on-demand omelets/dosas/paranthas. Certain days we had to hit the road early, so we asked staff if we could have breakfast early. They happily accommodated and even packed some for the road. Dinner was similarly great - with a choice of multiple cuisines. It all seemed to be made fresh and in nutritious manner. However, if you want to taste a more dhaba style preparation, you can simply cross the street and choices are abundant. I guess we stayed long enough that it started feeling like home. Staff was easily able to guess our questions. Would know if we forgot something in the lobby. Had a great conversation with manager Vishwanathan over a cup of tea he invited me to join. And in the dinning hall Nandini knew exactly the quantity we would eat. We were there to take care of some family emergency situation. When we left, the manager bid us farewll and wished to see again under happier circumstances. Going back will feel like going home!
