I went during the monsoon season and the hostel had to take precautions to prevent any flooding, by putting up huge covers which kind of made it seem like it was under construction. So if you are going during the monsoon season don't be surprised if it doesn't look like the pictures. I had no complaints as at least it prevented flooding. The staff were all amazing and very nice, just not it is a cashless hostel so everything is through their app. I went during off peak so not much of a hostel vibe and people mostly sticked to their own groups. Nothing much around the hostel except a few cafes but has a very calm and relaxing environment. It is also a 5 min walk to Mandrem beach where u can walk ***** the full beach to go to Arambol and also to Sweet water lake. All in all service and cleanliness was great, location was alright and not much facilities except a small pool.
The rooms are in good condition, but the fact that drying things isn't lied. Use the development: take the hangers, on them the burning, hang on all possible surfaces and turn on the fan. Oh,n, by the way, ceiling: from heat will save, but it's not exactly. The air conditioner, I realized, did not work in our 105 room. The view is not a fountain, but without outside eyes, unless, of course, people walk under the windows.
Feed normally, but uniformly. The last day has eaten hashbrauns (dragons), that was greatly rejoicing. The sweet table is missing (rather, there are fruits of two species and cakes). Perhaps in the ”season” otherwise, we were at the end of March.
To the sea is close. Eat in the silver spoon and you will be happy!
Thank you for your rest.
We stayed for 6 nights and the location couldn’t get any better. On the doorstep to Mandrem beach which is also a lot quieter than the other beaches. Food wasn’t great and overpriced food/beverages in general (especially alcohol). We went half board and still had to pay for soft drinks for dinner. However we spent our days on mandrem beach and we ordered from a place called mandrem beach shack which was very reasonably priced for food and cheap alcohol. I’d recommend using that restaurant for drinks and food if you don’t go half board/ full board. We found it quite unprofessional as we were shortchanged each time and they kept the extra as tip as they couldn’t give any change. Overall, great location and perfect for the beach.
Hotel we liked! Everything is super. There is certainly something to tick:)(For me it is not crisp pasta) and so all the standards of breakfast a-la Swedish table (a-la it is a snack for a couple of hours you will have enough if you are a man) not far from the beach purely!
But here the travel of the creators of this app from the war with Iran was overshadowed by us the departures from Sharji and we had to buy other tickets. Then came a refusal but in the process of negotiations I contacted the hotel they said that with them from the trip of the coma no one was connected, so bear in mind when booking you for the meeting Tripovets will not go! And the hotel is cool!
I will start with the best: The character is chic, starting from the entrance and everyone with whom we have had to interact, polite, smiley, sincerely set up to help and to meet all your adequate needs - it is just a gun, megarepspect. Come only for the night with the family, it was a forced stop, but to the hotel this relationship does not have, in the morning at breakfast we prepared the best for all the time omlet with milk, then we asked the cash, which was not and cocoa, the guy didn't even know what it was, guggled and we all did! The territory is beautiful, the road to the beach is pleasant, the rooms are beautiful! The sand on the beach is small, violinous like snow - just heaven!!
And the minus that require categorical attention:
1. The floor in the room was very dirty, we arrived late in the evening, laid the children, took a shower, went there on the room, and in the morning looked at their feet and chips. The wife took a napkin and spent on the floor - it would be better not to see 🤣
2. In the pool, very clean water, the pool itself with different depths, very comfortable - NO, in the children's, smaller, area of the pool simply cannot be located, very strongly pulls the urine out of the toilets, right smells exactly at the level of water and a meter above. If you sail to the opposite end, there everything is good, airs.
3. We have not faced a problem, but I think there are few lying on the pool and beach(8 pcs), perhaps beach lying more relevant for Europeans, then should be enough.

We stayed at Stonewood Hotel in Vagator for the weekend (Saturday – Sunday). The hotel is located in the Goa cluster area where parties and events are held, and if you want to sleep quietly at night, this place is not for you. Music and bases from the nearest parties felt right in the room, and sleeping was almost impossible, even with berries or earphones.
On the other hand, the hotel itself is very pleasant: rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a swimming pool, beautiful views for sunset, and the downstairs to the ocean is comfortable. Breakfast is modest, choice is small but all fresh. There are several beach clubs next to the beach where you can eat cheap and delicious. The interesting element was the figure of Shiva's face on the beach carved on the rock.
The hotel provides a taxi at a good price and location is convenient for travel to local markets. Staff friendly and responsive. In general, we liked our stay, especially the kinds, service and atmosphere of the day, but take into account noisy nightlife if you plan a rest with a full sleep.

GGuest UserHello! Russian staff does not say, early settlement for extra fee is impossible. Staff slow, room fund is very old and dry. Unfortunately, the photos on the website correspond to hotel rooms. The hotel is completely vegetarian, the only thing that pleases is the closest location to the beach from all the hotels nearby. I'm not sure if I'll go to this hotel again and not advise friends any more.
GGuest UserVery good stay...always recommended
-Excellent location, near to baga beach
-Room size is quite good and so the decor
-The balcony is cozy and so the river view
-staff is excellent and lobby is as grand as expected
-breakfast spread is good
Only downside is, external bike vendor were not willing to rent the bike due to local vendor issue.
GGuest UserHaving arrived at st Regis Goa our expectations were high and we were truly looking forward to spending Chinese new year eve. On arrival everything seemed a bit chaotic in the lobby and then I soon found out that they were expecting a wedding and the next day was fully booked because of that. As we got through the day I noticed that the staff were all paying attention mostly to the wedding preparations and not the in house guests. From this hotel I expected a better service to be honest and even the so called special butler assigned to us was responding with delays of almost an hour which is not nice for such a so called high standard hotel. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay but decided against having dinner at the property because even though I mentioned it is Chinese new year no special do up was done for us so even though I did not expect given that we were in India and they don’t celebrate obviously but since I did mention at check in this would have brought out Regis standards in a big way as they are known for worldwide but no special thing was organized for us. The shower drainage was blocked and I had to unplug the cover just to let the water drain out. This should be checked before guests arrive. Even the towels had this strange odour which only means it was not laundered properly. Otherwise the property is great but they should improve for the standard they portray and the rates they charge. Also another point to note is that while booking through trip.com I booked a better level room and after I paid it was immediately cancelled and refund was provided but strangely when I tried to re-book the price had gone up significantly and this is not a nice thing to do to guests. Now I’m not sure if this was the booking app failure or failure on part of the hotel but notable to mention nonetheless. So I opted for the normal lagoon room instead because I felt cheated and didn’t want to pay more for something that was clearly indicated. Pool was fantastic and room was decent but big mosquito problem on the property. We actually stayed next door the previous night at holiday inn and didn’t notice mosquitos as much as here so beware and get enough repellant. The carpet in the room also needs to be deep cleaned as it was literally black with dirt. Even spider web in the room. Shocking for a Regis hotel. Hats of to the garden cleaning ladies who do a fabulous job and the valet and entrance staff and the guy who gave us a nice welcome and welcome drink. Breakfast was fantastic so speaks volumes of the chefs and staff behind the scenes. Highlight of the hotel no doubt. Best one so far in India!
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location. Very friendly welcome.
We were shown to our room and things explained.
The balcony was small but ample.
The room should have contained robe and slippers but these were missing, although didn't affect our stay so not a real issue.
The pool is small but was very quiet and provided a nice cool off. Towels are available at the counter.
The hotel is located directly on the beach with beech shacks and restaurants on the beach very nearby.
The hotel does not provide beach loungers BUT if you head to a beach shack and buy a drink or two, they will allow the use of a bed for free. Directly out of the hotel gate on the beach there was a lady with beds trying to charge 500 rupees for a bed for the day. This is not necessary when you can get a drink for less with a free bed. We nearly learned the hard way.
The bed was far too hard for me, resulting in reduced sleep, but some people may prefer a firmer bed. My partner slept better than me so this was a personal experience. The bedding was nice quality though.
The whole place was clean and tidy. Rooms made up every day in the afternoon so not disturbed early morning which is nice.
The rooms are not soundproof so a lot of noise can be heard from outside when people start moving around in the morning.
Staff were friendly - everyone had a smile, and nothing too much trouble.
We only experienced breakfast once, and I would say it is ok as long as you don't expect a full English fry up (which in my opinion you shouldn't as you're in India). The food was hot, tasty, and fresh. There was plenty to choose from for a breakfast selection.
If I was to fault the breakfast, to provide a suggestion, providing tea and coffee black so that customers can add their own milk would make it more accessible to all. I can't drink too much dairy so had to give this a miss.
Then the only real downside to this hotel we found is when checking out, you are made to wait until the room has been checked, in case you steal anything. I completely understand this, but this should be made clear when checking in. We had booked a taxi to arrive at check out time, which could have resulted in additional costs for waiting time. Just to be mindful if staying here and arranging onward travel. Or maybe the hotel could make this policy clearer upon checking in.
All in all a very nice stay in Candolim and this hotel was a good choice.
AAimz13I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at Orchard Passaros.
Upon arrival at approximately 12:30, we were informed that our booking could not be located. After waiting around 20 minutes, the reservation was eventually found. Unfortunately, the gentleman at reception during this time was unfriendly and appeared quite miserable, which did not create a welcoming first impression.
We were offered a complimentary drink while the issue was being resolved, which was appreciated. The gentleman who served us was polite, professional, and very pleasant. We were then shown to our room, which initially appeared to be very nice.
However, later that evening we experienced significant issues. The room was unbearably hot, as the air conditioning did not seem to cool the space effectively. Additionally, there was a sensor system whereby any movement in the bed activated the bathroom light and extractor fan. This repeatedly disturbed our sleep.
We reported these problems to reception. A maintenance staff member attended and resolved the sensor issue in the bathroom. He also stated that he had lowered the room temperature; however, the room remained extremely hot and uncomfortable. Despite further attempts to fix the issue, there was no improvement. After approximately an hour of ongoing disruption, at 2:00am we felt we had no option but to leave the hotel.
The manager’s response at this time was extremely disappointing. He was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly laughed during the conversation, which we found highly unprofessional.
Furthermore, the pool area was not as advertised. There were only two sunbeds available, and on one occasion a guest reserved one all day by leaving belongings on it, even when not present. Overall, the facilities and restaurant did not meet the standards described on your website.
We are extremely disappointed that our experience did not reflect the expectations set by your online description. I would appreciate your response to these concerns.
Yours faithfully,
DDoufutravelsFor our India trip, it’ll be Little India Beach Cottages that’ll be our special haven! Goa is a beautiful stretch of India already, but this hotel has gone above and beyond to make it shine all the more! We’d originally booked a standard room, but we wanted something bigger so we asked at reception for some options. They jumped at the chance to help us, suggesting one of the larger spaces which had separate kitchen, living room and bedroom. It became our little home for three nights—and we loved it! That night, we tried to hotel bar and restaurant, and from then, we ate there daily. The food is divine and easily some of my favourite Indian food! As typical Brits, we loved the sweet and spicy potato! We also tried Cabo (coconut liquor) for the first time because of the wonderful recommendation from Sonu! Sonu made sure we were looked after whenever we wandered into the restaurant, hungry and in need of some delicious curry! He was so warm and really helpful with my dietary requirements! He’s such a sweetie!!
We also booked our excursions through the hotel. Kapil was not only our driver but also our tour guide! He’s super knowledgeable about Goa to an almost superhuman level! He was such a laugh on the trip and made sure we had the best time possible. He really taught us a lot about life in Goa and how the history shaped the people and life the there. He was also the one to drop us off at the airport so we got to leave on a high note!
Generally, all the staff were fantastic. We were sad to leave our haven by the end.
Thanks so much for our Goan experience!!

GGuest UserThe Vivanta Goa Panaji is an excellent hotel. My wife and I travelled from the US to visit in Goa. The hotel has an excellent location near the Campal Gardens and is a very walkable location. We walked to Fontainhas and into the city area several times. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The hotel provided plenty of bottled water, more than we could use. The pool area on the rooftop is a great place to cool off and relax after touring, and the food/drink selections and service were very good. Our booking included the breakfast buffet, which I HIGHLY recommend. There was a very large selection of food, including western /continental, Chinese and Indian. There must be over 30 things to choose from, including whatever type of eggs you could think of, waffles, pancakes, dosas, etc. The quality was excellent, the hot food was hot and cold food was cold. We also ate at the hotel at least one evening for the buffet. It was also extremely extensive and high quality and a very reasonable price. The staff was amazing and the servers truly took an interest in making sure we were happy. They made suggestions for what to try, and if you let them know you are an adventurous eater, they will help you to experience something new and exciting to taste.
The hotel is part of the Taj group, and their attention to quality and service is apparent. We will definitely stay at the Vivanta the next time we are in Goa.
