Excellent, absolutely fantastic! The room is quite spacious, with a separate bedroom and other areas, plus a small sofa. The 14th floor has a large public bath, and the 15th floor boasts a rooftop pool with views of both mountains and the sea! (Remember to bring your swimsuit!) The breakfast is also amazing, with tempura, seafood bowls, Oita kamameshi, unlimited spicy mentaiko, and even sparkling wine. The front desk staff can speak Chinese, English, and Japanese, and they offer luggage storage. The lobby has a very stylish design. Plus, there are many super affordable public bathhouses nearby.

I had stayed in this hotel a couple times. This is the first time I did not stay at the main building. There are pros and cons with this arrangement. Lesser people in a separate building but less convenience as need to walk across the road to get to the main building where the onsen and foods and items to purchases located. As far as the staff service, they are very good. For the foods, I recalled I had other dining options which I forgot to choose this time. Not too fond with the buffets foods - too standard and nothing specials.

This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The 1st time was 10 years ago, the hotel guest rooms have renovated which is quite Modern. Love the new design. The Seaview is still spectacular. Bed and pillow are very comfortable. Onsan is located at basement , an highlight is there is Basket Robins ice cream machine is available 🙂 There is a night drink bar in the hotel at the lobby level, wines , coffee, soft drinks are served. Breakfast area is spacious , western & Japanese food are served, donuts, pancakes , noodles, vege drinks , all you can choose.

All the hotel staff were fantastic! I didn't book the half-board option on Trip.com, but I successfully added it via email, and the staff were very thoughtful, asking about any food allergies. The room was generally very clean, and toiletries were provided. The only slight drawback was the moss in the onsen. The inn also has a car park. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. There's a convenience store just a few minutes' drive away, which is super convenient! Already looking forward to my next stay!

My first trip to Beppu was amazing! I chose this newly opened onsen hotel (opened in 2025) with its private hot spring bath, ocean view, and walk-up access to attractions like the ”Sea Hell” (sea hell). It was such a pleasant surprise! Location/Facilities: The hotel is located on a mountain near Tetsuron Onsen, facing the sea towards Beppu Port. The drive up the mountain involves several winding roads – a little thrilling! Surrounded by trees, with only another hotel and a shrine nearby, it's incredibly peaceful. Our upgraded villa (B-2) was very spacious, with three double beds in the bedroom, a Japanese-style room, living room, dining room, kitchen, courtyard, swimming pool (only in summer), indoor and outdoor onsen baths, outdoor sauna, and two bathrooms. The courtyard was very private, but offered beautiful views of the Beppu sea and the steam rising from the numerous hot springs below. Dining: The package includes dinner and breakfast: Dinner is from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with a minimum arrival time of 7:30 PM. Both meals offered a wide selection of food of excellent quality, served on exquisite plates. Each person received a freshly grilled Wagyu beef and abalone for dinner. Breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and sausages were freshly made… Service: The hotel responded very quickly via email (in English) provided by Ctrip, informing us of four free shuttle services from Beppu Station at 2:30/3:30/4:30/5:30 PM. We initially chose 5:30, but changed to 4:30 on the day of the visit without issue. The hotel sent a taxi to pick us up. Upon arrival at the hotel, the receptionist in the lobby could surprisingly speak Chinese and patiently explained the hotel's services and facilities to us! In the evening, after soaking in the hot spring in the courtyard, we noticed many guests were wearing their hotel pajamas to dinner – so relaxing! After breakfast, we didn't use the hotel's free morning shuttle service. Instead, we walked down the mountain to Umi Jigoku (very close), took a city walk to the beach (about 50 minutes), and then rode back to the hotel to collect our luggage/to Beppu Station (4000 yen). The hotel mentioned that if we wanted to use the public hot spring, we could use their sister hotel, a 5-minute walk away – maybe next time! The hotel seemed to be quite busy (there was parking available outside many of the courtyards), but most of the staff spoke Japanese/Korean. I noticed there weren't any reviews yet, so I decided to share my experience of this unforgettable seaside hot spring resort!

This hotel is a bit far from JR Oita Station, and it can be tiring to walk back and forth if you're using it as a transfer point between Beppu and Yufuin. It's an older hotel that's been renovated, but the furniture is still old, and the bedding comfort is just average; the duvet was too thick. The room size is quite large for Japan. We specifically booked a room with a sofa bed for our child, but it was small and hard, and our child refused to sleep on it after an hour. There's a large 24-hour supermarket near the hotel with good prices, which is convenient for buying daily necessities. Across the street is a school, and the Nikko Hotel is not far next door. Oita Art Museum and the pedestrian street are within walking distance.

This hotel is an annex of AMANEK YULA-RE, granting guests access to the main building's 16th-floor public bath (onsen) and 17th-floor outdoor infinity pool and Jacuzzi. **Pros:** 1. **Excellent Location:** It's just a 5-minute walk from the JR station, the bus stop for Fukuoka, and the bus stop for the Beppu Hells. The Fukuoka-bound bus station (located near a shopping mall) is also conveniently reachable within a 10-minute walk. 2. **Stunning Infinity Pool:** The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, including Beppu Tower, and is perfect for photos. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during my stay, so it was deserted during the day. The operating hours are quite reasonable, covering most of the day during my visit. 3. **Impressive Lobby & Dining:** The main building's lobby boasts an impressive design. Dining options are available on the first floor, and at 3300 JPY (approximately 160 RMB), the price is quite reasonable, comparable to what you'd expect at a star-rated hotel in China. 4. **Convenient Amenities & Services:** Shower caps and other amenities are available for collection at the front desk. Luggage storage is also provided. 5. **Spacious & Quiet Rooms:** Rooms are spacious. The hotel is quiet, ensuring a very good night's sleep.

We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room. Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

We got the room called ”Forest Bath.” It was very clean, and the onsen was comfortably warm. The only downside was the view – a bamboo forest – which wasn't as impressive as expected. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances: oven, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and even a Dyson hairdryer. However, I found some of the facilities a bit strange. For example, there was only one shower room, and it was shared with the indoor onsen. So, if you weren't shy, you could shower while someone else was in the onsen. There was also only a glass partition between the shower room and the sink, so someone could clearly see someone showering while they were washing their face. Furthermore, there were two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs, but neither had a sink inside. The upstairs toilet required going downstairs to wash hands, while the downstairs toilet required using the sink in the shower room. Those were the only issues. Otherwise, it was very convenient. You'll need to drive to supermarkets, and the road leading to the area isn't suitable for walking.

AAnonymous UserThis is an excellent hotel. It's nestled on a mountain overlooking the ocean, offering beautiful scenery. The hot springs are fantastic, and they even have private baths available for an extra charge. Dinner was superb; we had Japanese cuisine in an elegant setting. The Japanese chef was very professional, and the dishes were outstanding. Breakfast was semi-buffet style and also delicious. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and offer sea views.

Although it's a bit far out, the resort facilities provide everything you need, and there's enough to do on-site to keep you occupied all day. The included breakfast and dinner were plentiful, and the location is conveniently close to Kyushu Zoo and Yufuin, so you can easily add them to your itinerary.
