The location is close to Beppu station, it has a lot of restaurants and shop close to the hotel. There is onsen, 24 hr fitness in the hotel. There is package building close to the hotel, I think 600 yen for parking! There is heated pool, jaguzzi on the rooftop! The onsen has sauna, cold dip, outdoor dip! really a 5/5 hotel
I’m glad that we chose Amane Gahama for our family vacation because it’s spacious and the private hot spring was awesome with both in and out door options. It’s a little inconvenient that breakfast was located in the sister hotel next door, but the hotel had arranged buggy for transport which the kids are happy about it.
The first thing that impressed me about my stay was the excellent service. All the staff were very kind, polite, and warm, making my stay feel at ease.
The hotel is a little far from the station, but the surrounding area is very quiet, making it perfect for those looking for work or quiet time.
The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, so I slept well. However, there were a few things that bothered me. First, I could hear footsteps from the floor above, so I felt like the soundproofing wasn't very good. Also, for some reason, the bathroom smelled like stale wastewater, which was disappointing.
All in all, the hotel offers good value for money and is highly recommended, especially for those looking for a comfortable, quiet environment.
This hotel is an annex of AMANEK YULA-RE, granting guests access to the main building's 16th-floor public bath (onsen) and 17th-floor outdoor infinity pool and Jacuzzi.
**Pros:**
1. **Excellent Location:** It's just a 5-minute walk from the JR station, the bus stop for Fukuoka, and the bus stop for the Beppu Hells. The Fukuoka-bound bus station (located near a shopping mall) is also conveniently reachable within a 10-minute walk.
2. **Stunning Infinity Pool:** The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, including Beppu Tower, and is perfect for photos. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during my stay, so it was deserted during the day. The operating hours are quite reasonable, covering most of the day during my visit.
3. **Impressive Lobby & Dining:** The main building's lobby boasts an impressive design. Dining options are available on the first floor, and at 3300 JPY (approximately 160 RMB), the price is quite reasonable, comparable to what you'd expect at a star-rated hotel in China.
4. **Convenient Amenities & Services:** Shower caps and other amenities are available for collection at the front desk. Luggage storage is also provided.
5. **Spacious & Quiet Rooms:** Rooms are spacious. The hotel is quiet, ensuring a very good night's sleep.
We selected a Japanese style tatami room which was nice a spacious. However, most if the room looks old and very dated. Clock kept making ticking noise that made it hard to sleep but hotel staff was very kind and quick to remove it when we requested. Hotel was very crowded and full of children so the hot spring bath was also very crowded and noisy at times. It was very nice for the hotel to provide free snacks and beverages until late at night. It's a very family hotel and the view is excellent. It's actually in Hiji about 20 mins from Beppu centre. Breakfast is very good. We enjoyed our stay but the rooms can go for a round of uplift to not look dated.
I think this fusion ryokan is perfect for families. I've stayed in traditional houses before, but the stairs were narrow and steep, making it difficult. This place is a perfect mix of modern and traditional, making it a great place to bring my mother! The private bath was the biggest reason I chose this place, and it lived up to my expectations. I could adjust the temperature by mixing cold water, and it was a delight to see the night view outside. The lack of a kotatsu was a bit disappointing...ㅜㅜ
Also, sashimi is served in the kaiseki course, but when I emailed in advance to say I couldn't eat it, they substituted it with roast beef. The aperitif, plum wine, was also delicious.
I had to leave a little early in the morning, and they were very considerate and allowed me to eat before the scheduled time. They even offered a sandwich as a substitute for those who had to leave earlier.
I only looked around the public bath, but if you have time, definitely try it!
The room is well-equipped but a bit dilapidated, the lighting is dim, and the children said the bed was not very comfortable. From the room, you can see the geothermal smoke all around outside the window, and the scenery is beautiful.
Do note that it is outskirts of hiji, driving at night is quite quiet. The hotel doesn’t have private bath in the room so do take note as showering will be shared under traditional public bath house. Family bath house is available for booking only, which the staff let us use it during the two nights there. Thank you for the great service!
We got the room called ”Forest Bath.” It was very clean, and the onsen was comfortably warm. The only downside was the view – a bamboo forest – which wasn't as impressive as expected. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances: oven, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and even a Dyson hairdryer. However, I found some of the facilities a bit strange. For example, there was only one shower room, and it was shared with the indoor onsen. So, if you weren't shy, you could shower while someone else was in the onsen. There was also only a glass partition between the shower room and the sink, so someone could clearly see someone showering while they were washing their face. Furthermore, there were two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs, but neither had a sink inside. The upstairs toilet required going downstairs to wash hands, while the downstairs toilet required using the sink in the shower room. Those were the only issues. Otherwise, it was very convenient. You'll need to drive to supermarkets, and the road leading to the area isn't suitable for walking.

AAnonymous UserThis is an excellent hotel. It's nestled on a mountain overlooking the ocean, offering beautiful scenery. The hot springs are fantastic, and they even have private baths available for an extra charge. Dinner was superb; we had Japanese cuisine in an elegant setting. The Japanese chef was very professional, and the dishes were outstanding. Breakfast was semi-buffet style and also delicious. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and offer sea views.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing place! We had a wonderful time “glamping” at the Grand Verde Resort. From first being greeted upon check in till our departure the attention to detail and hospitality were top notch! We especially loved the delicious breakfast and dinner spread, the Public Bath, and sauna, and the hobbit houses. The gorgeous views from our yurt in the mountains were breathtaking and we were able to see millions of stars at night on the clear evenings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars!!! Highly recommend this place for your next getaway!
KKennyLMKThe hotel is huge, so when booking, be aware that if you and your friends book separately, you might end up in different buildings. Because of its large size and multiple buildings, there's a shuttle bus service between them, running constantly with very short waiting times. Many guests need this service because the parking lots can be quite a distance from the rooms. However, we were perfectly fine with it since we only took the car out and parked it once a day; after leaving during the day, we didn't go out again once we returned. The hotel has a convenience store open until 11 PM and the hot spring is open until midnight. We stayed for two nights with two meals a day with our friends. The hotel allowed us to dine at different restaurants on each night, but it's recommended to book your meal times when checking in. Breakfast was incredibly rich, even offering sashimi rice, ice cream, and desserts. If you have a late breakfast and eat enough, you can easily skip lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
