Yufuin Onsen
I stayed at ”yamachahana” for one night from October 15th (Sun). It has a very moist and calm atmosphere, and you can see Mt. Yufu in front of you from anywhere, and it is a 7-8 minute walk to Yunotsubo-dori and Lake Kinrin, so it is perfect for enjoying Yufuin while holding a basket. I think it's an inn. [About guest rooms] The guest rooms, which are separated from each building, are quaint, and the small diameter that approaches the room is also very nice. The rooms are very large and luxurious, with living rooms, bedrooms, hot springs and terrace separated. What I was worried about was that the distance from the next room was close, so I could hear the voice of the next room, the lighting was too dark overall, the rain leaked on the terrace, and the bed was uncomfortable. [About Onsen] The room has a stone indoor bath that two people can take slowly and a semi-open-air bath of wood for one person, so you can enjoy bathing at any time 24 hours. It was a simple spring, but it was a little numeric and it was a very pleasant hot spring. The hot water temperature was just right. [About meals] Japanese kaiseki dinner was served in a private room, and American breakfast was served for breakfast. The dishes that I feel particular about the appearance and vessels are very delicious dishes that stimulate the five senses, and I felt the level of Yufuin, but compared to that of a long-established luxury inn in Yufuin, I want you to do your best a little more. However, I think it is a big plus point that a certain drink was served as a free drink at dinner. [About service] The staff are all young, but I was able to tell that they were polite and hardworking, and it was a good service. Also, the service that allows late check-out until 13:00 at 2,200 yen per hour was a nice service for the cherry blossoms. However, I was confused that there was one male staff member who didn't know anything at the front desk.

My recent stay at Dormy Inn Oita Hotel was truly heartwarming and memorable. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a fantastic experience. Let's start with the room – it was simply great! Spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, it felt like a home away from home. After a busy day of exploring, returning to such a comfortable space was a true delight. And oh, the breakfast! Absolutely delicious. Each morning, I looked forward to a delightful spread of Japanese delights that tantalized my taste buds and left me feeling energized for the day ahead. It was a wonderful introduction to Japanese cuisine. Now, let's talk about the onsen – an absolute highlight of my stay. The soothing hot springs provided a tranquil retreat where I could unwind and relax amidst the serene surroundings. It was an experience I'll cherish for a long time. One of the things I loved most about Dormy Inn Oita was its convenient location near the JR Station. This made it incredibly easy to explore the local area and find delicious dining options for dinner. It was like having the best of Oita right at my doorstep! During my stay, there was an unexpected earthquake, but I was so impressed by how the staff handled the situation. They kept everyone informed and checked in regularly to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference during a challenging time. And let me tell you about the incredible assistance I received when my car ran out of battery. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me out, contacting the necessary services and ensuring everything was sorted out quickly and efficiently. It was such a relief to have their support. In conclusion, my stay at Dormy Inn Oita was nothing short of amazing. From the warm hospitality to the comfortable accommodations and delicious breakfast, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return and make more wonderful memories at this fantastic hotel. Dormy Inn will always hold a special place in my heart.

Yufuin Onsen
Fu Tong Japanese-style tatami room comes with a bathtub: I originally booked an open-air bathtub in my room, but I was informed two days before departure that there was a problem and could not provide this room type😪 I had booked the room more than a month ago, why did I not notify it until before departure? We were told by customer service that we could get a refund or find another hotel. This really put us in a dilemma. The main purpose of entering Yufuin was to enjoy a private bath. After a day of fussing, another customer service member carefully suggested a new solution and the solution was solved. Problem! I said the hotel is nice, the room is big enough for two people, it has an indoor bathtub and a Dyson hairdryer, great! We booked a room, two meals, and the food was rich and delicious. Guests in each room were arranged to eat in a designated private room, which provided a lot of privacy, which was great! In winter, I want to stay in this hotel again, take a bath in the wind and snow, drink the hotel’s plum wine and eat wagyu beef. I think about it!

I spent it without any inconvenience because I had the things I needed and was near the station. The supermarket was across the road and the convenience store was as far away as it was. It was still convenient to have bags so that breakfast could be brought to the room as experienced in other branches, but the conference room space was prepared as a seat for eating. It was saved that I could eat there even when it was crowded.
Ryotei Matsubaya

We used a train view room for 2 nights on family trips. I usually choose a hotel with a lot of word of mouth & high evaluation, so I met the day with anxiety about the word of mouth of Matsubaya. It may have been low expectations, but as a result, it was all a nice inn that was more than expected, so I will write word of mouth for the first time in my life. I hope it will be a reference for anyone. First of all, I told him that I was a son of a train lover, and the lady gave me a very polite reply to the time of the train and the way to see it. The train view room looked in front of the window, and the children looked happy with the Shoji every time they heard it. There is a word of mouth that the freight train is noisy at night, and the sound is certainly good, but it was not so noisy that the children who were sleeping woke up. I really wanted to show you if I woke up because I was looking forward to the cargo in the middle of the night. SL was also very satisfied. The bath is a bit narrow as there was in other people's word of mouth. But in the morning, light came in from a lot of windows and it was a very bright and pleasant bath. The dryer was weak, but I had no problem with it because my hair was short... I stayed for two nights, but I had a completely different menu in the morning and night and enjoyed it. It was not a room meal, but I was able to relax in the tatami mats large hall. I was happy because this is a buffet hotel and there are always the same things even if I stay for 2 nights. All were very delicious! I was glad to have changed the menu a little for a 3 year old child. I didn't think I could eat ice shaving in winter, so I was impressed by the deliciousness of the child and the master. It was the best as an iron inn, and the room, the bath and the rice were very satisfied with everything. The personality of the inn was very warm and friendly. I asked you to build a rental bath, so I would like to go to stay again if I complete it.

Yufuin Onsen
We were warmly greeted by staff who helped us with our bags and checked us into the hotel room . We had booked into the twin room . Wow it was huge with a bedroom , dining room as well as a wash basin and toilet . Only letdown was that there was no shower nor bathtub . Another friend had booked the one with private indoor and outdoor onsens and they were beautiful . This hotel had two private onsens that one could use anytime . You hang a “in use” sign on the door each time you use and it was very beautiful . The public bath was also unique and picturesque . Kaiseiki dinner was delicious with wagyu beef . Breakfast was Japanese style and was also delicious . What made the stay special was the Nepalese staff Pathak with his good explanation and his ability to communicate English with us . That made a difference to the stay .

I went to Oita in a hurry at the law, and I booked with my wife for two minutes, but I was told to the front desk that I had a large room, and when I entered the room, it was really large, clean and clean room, and I was grateful. Breakfast was delicious in buffet style. I walked because I thought it was close to Oita station, but it took me a while.
Seaside Hotel Mimatsu Oetei

This hotel is about 10-15 mins walking from the JR Beppu station. It is easy to find as you just walk towards the seaside until you see the Beppu Tower beside a main road, the hotel is behind it. There is a 7-11 beside the tower, and a bus stop in front of the tower, so is quite convenient. If you take the bus to visit the 7 Beppu Hells starting from the JR station and follow the sequence, i.e. Chinoike and Tatsumaki Jigokus as the last two hells, and you take the bus towards the Beppu station, you can stop directly in front of the tower, this complete a full circle of your Beppu Hell tour. I booked a seaview Japanese room and the view is great. The room is also spacious for Japanese ryokan standard. There is some minor renovation and furniture replacement done, so the room is a mixture of new and worn. There are two onsen baths in this hotel: one at the top floor, an open air onsen bath and one at third floor, which is an indoor onsen bath. The dinner and breakfast are both average though. Overall, I am quite happy with my stay here.

Kannawa Onsen
We booked the Sora western room type, which was described as having two double beds and three futon beds. However, upon arrival, I didn't see any futon beds in the room nor were they offered. In terms of service, I expected a better introduction to the rooms given the price I am paying. We received a very simple introduction to the common area, but didn't get a room tour showing where things are located, which Yukata to wear indoors and outdoors, etc. I've paid a similar price for another onsen hotel where we received a much better reception upon arrival. We did ask for breakfast in the room for more privacy, and while we were able to do that for half the price at other hotels in Fukuoka, the staff didn't seem to understand when we asked about it. Overall, the amenities and room are really good, but service-wise, it's hit or miss.

The word of mouth everywhere was quite bad and less 々 I visited while I was worried, but I thought it was quite improved. The room (Japanese room) was cleaned properly. The bathroom was cute with a retro tile. The ”callable seat” for dinner was delicious, and the charge was a trainee from foreign countries, but the language and the explanation of the dish were neat. I also saw a word of mouth that there is no basic cosmetics in the public bath, but now there is cosmetics and all in one gel. The gel was very fragrance and comfortable. I brought Kindle and movie DL, etc., and I was prepared to connect wifi, but I was able to connect quickly and use the video delivery site. However, it is unknown whether this was because of the strengthening of the facilities or whether the access point was not insufficient because the number of guests was extremely small. The only thing that was unfortunate was that I had a backrest top to hit the chair at the breakfast hall. It was good to bring a sterilization tissue. The front desk staff is also very good, and I think it can be said that it is good compared to the price if it is always like this.
