The room was spacious, but unfortunately, our assigned room was slightly off-center from the sea view. The public areas, however, were absolutely beautiful and uncrowded, making for a very relaxing experience. The cliffside hotel offered breathtaking views from its elevated position, especially the sea views at sunset and under the daytime sun – a stunning expanse of blue sky and ocean. One spot even reminded me of Jiuzhaigou! The pool area was surrounded by various hydrangeas, which was lovely. The nearby Kotoda Coast was also gorgeous, even more so than Tsumekizaki. The teppanyaki beef at Xiaoting was tender and delicious, the set meal was generous, and it even came with ice cream. Definitely worth a return visit.

The hotel's location is excellent. However, I was woken up at 6 AM the next morning by a fire alarm. It turned out to be a false alarm announced over the intercom. The hotel didn't offer any apology or compensation. The announcement was only in Japanese and Korean, which is really inadequate. How can such a large hotel lack multilingual staff? This is also the first time I've stayed at a hot spring hotel where I had to make my own bed – completely unexpected.

The rooms are located up on the hill, but they offer free shuttle service to and from the station, which is great. As expected from a Marriott, it was clean, hygienic, and the service was excellent. The hot springs were very relaxing. It's a bit far from the main hotel, so breakfast isn't included, and there are no convenience stores nearby.

This was my first time visiting Minamiizu, and a friend recommended this hotel – it truly lived up to expectations! The accommodations were great, and the food was delicious. My only complaint is regarding the shuttle service. The day before check-in, I specifically asked about pickup details through Trip.com customer service. The hotel only sent a text message with the pickup time, but not the location. I assumed, like most hotels, that it would pick up in front of the JR station. To my surprise, I waited from 2 PM to 3 PM and saw no sign of the hotel bus. I started to feel something was wrong and checked Trip.com, where I saw a guest comment mentioning that after 3:10 PM, there would be no more pickups. Panicked, I immediately called the hotel. That's when I learned the hotel bus has a specific waiting point, around the corner, to the right of the JR station (and then to the right again). If this isn't communicated beforehand, and there are no signs at the station, it's impossible for guests to know where to wait. Therefore, I strongly suggest the hotel standardize its pickup service by clearly stating both the pickup time and location in advance. Both pieces of information are essential!

Nice and spacious room with a private onsen, with a view on Mount Fuji. It was quiet and able to appreciate nature. Food is limited around apart from the two restaurants and if you don’t have a car, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, except if you want to stay within the hotel different building and the Marriott.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Fuji Speedway Hotel. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with stunning views of the race circuit and surrounding mountains. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the unique experience of staying right next to the famous Fuji Speedway. The facilities were excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring the Mount Fuji area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Japan. Highly recommended for both motorsport enthusiasts and travelers looking for a relaxing luxury stay.

I stopped by during my rental car trip. The rooftop open-air bath was fantastic. Mt. Fuji was hidden by clouds, but the view was still amazing. It might be difficult to get there without a rental car, but I think there's a shuttle bus. It seems like many people use the hot springs for day trips. The baths themselves are different for day trips. The rooftop open-air bath is only available to hotel guests.

Izu Kogen Country Hotel | Exceeded expectations in every way, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was extremely satisfied with my stay this time, full marks! 🍣 Dinner Buffet & Breakfast • The dinner featured a sashimi bar with incredibly fresh ingredients, refilled endlessly. The hot food and BBQ were also excellent. • Breakfast was equally diverse, offering both Japanese and Western options, all delicious. I was very satisfied with the meals on both days. ♨️ Public Bath • The hot spring bath area is very spacious, with both indoor and outdoor baths, making for a very relaxing soak. • A nice touch: The hair dryers are Refa! They have strong airflow and don't damage hair, which women will love. 🏨 Room • I stayed alone in a large suite-style room. It was spacious with a separate living area, and excellent natural light, far exceeding the average Japanese standard. 🛎 Service & Facilities • The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and free coffee is available in the lobby. • There's a large swimming pool and an on-demand massage/SPA area. • They are also very pet-friendly, creating a warm atmosphere.

It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead.
