Guest UserThe exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay.

Shelby’sAlthough the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are perfect and the buffet is delicious. The best part is the open-air hot spring on the top floor; soaking in it while it's snowing is an unforgettable experience. There are also two other indoor hot springs, which are perfect.

The buffet, public bath area, room, staff and etc. are all perfect!!! Especially the game center, swimming pool and the musical performance at the night. You can simply spend a few days in the resort! It is close to the attractions so the place is perfect!

An old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!

The onsen hotel is near Tobu World Square station. The staff were incredibly helpful. I went to the wrong building, but they walked me to the correct one. I left my backpack there before check-in time, and when I returned in the evening, it was still in my room. The room was very spacious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The staff even offered to take photos for me. The hotel has a beautiful view.

Anonymous UserIt's old, but reasonably clean. Since it's in the mountains, be careful of insects when opening the windows. The sheets were very clean and there was no smell. It was a futon, but the mattress was thin and my back hurt a little. The bath had a calming atmosphere and was very nice. There were only four hair dryers in the public bath. There weren't any in the room either, so you have to borrow one from the front desk. The location is good. There's a suspension bridge nearby, and it was nice to be able to see the gorge, the hotel, and the bridge from there. The meals included all-you-can-drink alcohol, and my family and I got quite drunk and had a great time. We were also able to eat a lot at the buffet breakfast.

Guest UserThe staff weren't very familiar with the procedures. Because the hotel is so popular, the hygiene control might not be perfect, as we found a cockroach near the snack dispenser on the second floor. I'd recommend the sister hotel in Bayue Mountain instead.
