We recently stayed at Discovery Samal, and overall, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The resort itself is beautiful—clean, modern, and well-maintained. We really loved our room and the amenities; everything felt comfortable and high-quality. The beach and pool areas are also great for unwinding. That said, there are a few things to note. It was very hot during the daytime, and even the reception area (with fans only) felt quite warm. We first went to Malabar Lounge for drinks while waiting, and later tried the billiards to pass the time. We went back to the reception twice to follow up, but the room still wasn’t ready. We understood since check-in is at 3 PM, but we were told they would call once it was ready—and we didn’t receive any call. It might be because the signal is weak in some areas (there’s no signal inside the billiard room). If we hadn’t gone back to the reception at 3 PM, we honestly wouldn’t know what time we would have been allowed to check in. The check-in process itself also took a bit long, and we were only settled into our room around 3:30 PM. Also, since it’s a luxury hotel, food and drinks are expectedly on the expensive side. Despite these, we still had a great stay. The place is perfect for relaxing, and we truly enjoyed the experience overall. We’d still love to come back—maybe next time with family.

Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. I recently stayed at Crown Regency Residences Davao and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access shopping centers, restaurants, and other attractions around the city. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with any requests. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the well-maintained surroundings. The breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the overall service was satisfactory throughout my stay. While some areas of the property could benefit from modernization, the comfort, hospitality, and reasonable rates make up for it. Overall, Crown Regency Residences Davao is a good choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for value and convenience in Davao City.

It was our first to experience the Pearl Farm and it really exceed our expectation🥰 We had a great time staying at this resort the relaxation, the comfort of their food from breakfast to dinner with snacks and unli drinks, the peace given by the place we felt so well rested, and the staff were all nice and friendly especially to our toddler she really enjoys talking to every staffs she met. The best resort we've ever stayed and we couldn't stop talking how great the place and all people. Surely we will return and stay longer soon.

I visited last December, and once again, the friendly and kind staff at Ahoview Hotel made me decide to stay here again. The rooms are well-cleaned and very tidy. The city view from the window also gets a passing grade. And most of all, I was satisfied with the breakfast buffet, though I would have been even happier if there were mangoes in the fruit section. Also, the Halo-Halo I had at the café was incredibly delicious. I'll include photos for you to see. This trip to Davao for three days was very satisfying. I'm truly grateful to all the hotel staff who work so sincerely for their guests.

the dinner buffet with discounted rate for hotel guest was a thumbs and the food too was superb. With the shops outside the hotel from convenient stores, entertainment bars, massage parlors were all walking distance. i had a peaceful and well rested night. So overall I had a great stay

We arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for. When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem. Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place was very clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The staff were all friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was comfortable, relaxing, and perfect for resting after a long day. We also loved the ambiance and the overall peaceful vibe of the hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and we would definitely come back again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went with sister and friend. And we are please with service and location is in the center. The breakfast buffet was excellent, different variety every day. 24 hour front desk personnel and security are a plus. I recommend this hotel.
