Near Hankou Railway Station, there were only a few people eating at the buffet breakfast. Hot dry noodles are a must, a specialty of Wuhan. They taste better than the mixed noodles sold outside. During the Qingming Festival, we went to the Yellow River Three Gorges in Jiyuan. On the first day, we stayed in the city of Jiyuan because of traffic jams. We found a stewed pot city, which is said to be a traditional food in the northwest of Henan. The stewed pot is similar to the casserole dishes in Wuzhi, but it is different. The stewed pot uses a pottery jar as a container, with a peculiar shape. The shape can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. It is stewed for a long time, retaining the original flavor of the ingredients, and the soup is rich and not greasy.
