🎦Liu Village Tomb Group

Located 200 meters southwest of Liu Village, Ningjin Street, Rongcheng City, Weihai City, Shandong Province, it is an ancient site from the Yuan Dynasty. The following is a detailed introduction to it:

Basic Overview: The Liu Village Tomb Group originally covered an area of 13 acres, with thirty or forty stone tombs. There are 10 stone tombs from the Yuan Dynasty, of which 7 are well preserved and 3 only have bases. The stone tomb is built of granite and is in the shape of a &quot;spinning top&quot;. It consists of a tomb tower plate, a tower body, and a tower crown, with a unique shape.

Historical Origin: According to the &quot;Stone Tomb Stele-Record&quot; in the west of the village, during the Yuan Dynasty from 1335 to 1340, Cheng Baitong, the first ancestor of the Cheng family, moved here from Luoyang, Henan Province and settled in the village. Because the place is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful mountains and clear waters, it is a unique Feng Shui treasure land. The descendants of the Cheng family have lived here forever for generations, so it is named Liu Village.

Integration of Buddhism and nomadic culture: The above-ground part of the Liucun Stone Tomb Group is divided into three parts: the tower base, the tower body, and the tower top, reflecting the influence of Buddhism; at the same time, it was also influenced by the nomadic life customs in the north during the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.
