"This time, I specifically chose a riverside hotel to make up for not being able to admire the night view from above last time. From Jiefangbei in the city center, I overlooked Chongqing's brightly lit skyline. Outside the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, the towering buildings, one after another, showcased a bustling scene no less impressive than the Bund.
Staying right by a subway station in the city center made getting around incredibly convenient. Located beneath the iconic Cloud Eye observation deck, I could enjoy a private hot spring and sauna right in my room, making the 'night quiet and complete.'
Thankfully, my first travel destination of 2026 was Chongqing. 'The night sky from above softens everything: thoughts are no longer sharp, desires no longer urgent, and a gentle layer is added between people and the world.'"

MM446788****This hotel is super close to attractions like Jiefangbei, just a few hundred meters' walk away. My accommodation experience for this trip was absolutely fantastic, so I definitely have to give this hotel a five-star review! The location is a huge plus – it's just a few minutes' walk to the commercial area and all the sights. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. When it was raining outside, the hotel even had umbrellas available for guests to borrow, which was a really nice touch. Overall, everything was excellent.

Was warmly greeted by staff upon arrival and check-out, the hotel also provided free afternoon tea for guests and lobby's view was absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a stay in Chongqing!

GGuest UserI was only staying in a nice hotel for 1 night so I wanted to make it a good one. I did 4 hours research before deciding on this hotel. My criteria was that it had to have the best views of the city and of the river bank lights. It also had to have a bath tub and feel slightly extraordinary. Happy to report my research did not disappoint. I noticed that a lot of the most expensive instagrammable hotels were all in the same area and even the same building. This one is also on the 56th floor so you are guaranteed to be getting a great view depending on which side of the building the room you pick is. I chose one looking at the WFC building and the river bank and it was great. The hotel is all on one floor though and you can walk around and getting views from all side if you want. The room was super nice and definitely special. Not quite as novelty boutique as some of the other more expensive ones, but with the same view and great room still. As this is a small hotel there is no breakfast, but thats ok. The staff are also really nice and welcoming/helpful and give you a little goodie bag of treats when you leave. For price to what you get ratio, it hits all the marks.

GGuest UserThis hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Its location in the Jiefangbei area is very convenient, close to Hongya Cave and Bayi Food Street. The river view room indeed offers a great view of Qiansimen Bridge. The bathroom is spacious, and the TV in the room even allowed us to catch up on TV shows. The landlady's recommendation for Jiang Er Wa Chuan Chuan Xiang was absolutely delicious. On my last day, they even granted me a late check-out, which was incredibly thoughtful. The only minor drawback was the inconsistent and often disconnected Wi-Fi. Other than that, I was extremely satisfied.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room and all common areas were very clean and well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and kind, especially in assisting us with the laundry, which we really appreciated.
The location is superb — very convenient and close to all the major attractions. The view from the hotel room was beautiful and made our stay even more enjoyable.
We also loved the thoughtful complimentary treats: free ice cream and popcorn during the daytime, and free supper provided every night, which was a lovely bonus after a long day out.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely come back to this hotel again on our next trip.

LLY88889999This is definitely the hotel to stay at when visiting Chongqing. I booked a business room this time, and it was great. The staff were exceptionally good and deserve special praise. They were very patient. Seeing that I had mobility issues and liked to drink water, they kindly helped me put a liner in the bathtub and even provided laundry detergent. They were polite and courteous. Thank you! With Chinese New Year approaching, the hotel had a strong festive atmosphere. It felt comfortable and welcoming.

It's also really easy to get to other attractions from here, basically in the center of everything. Great value for money! It's just over a 10-minute walk to Jiefangbei, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The first picture is the view from the hotel window.

The riverside environment is excellent, perfect for an evening stroll along the river.
It's within walking distance to Jiefangbei, Shibati, and the Mountain City Trail.
Food delivery is brought up by robots.
Safety is well-secured.
This is my second stay here.

GGuest UserOverall a great place. Beautiful rooms of the highest quality in every regard. The best features are the hot spring pools in the rooms of course. The showers are also great( two in every shower room) Great quality TV with great sound. Good selection of movies( not the latest releases) but all free. Food at the hotell restaurants had good standard. The best we have experienced in China. But for double the price we would pay for the same quality Chinese food in Norway. Surprisingly!
But keep clear of the pizza. It is actually just a frozen pizza type. Very small. We didn’t order any more western dishes after that, except for the Cesar’s salad. Which was good.
The place is old now and a bit worn. But it’s still is very very beautiful and high quality.
Where this hotell really shines is the services of the staff. Even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Chinese they are very patient.
To a Norwegian it is almost too much. They carry your bags even when thy are too heavie and many for one person.
They drive you you to and from your room if you have a villa.
We got an upgrade from ordinary room with hot spring pool and double bed to a villa! Because we found 6 small worms in the shower room.
I think this is pretty hard to avoid in such a sub tropical and humid environment.
But we reported it to the staff and they immediately gave us an upgrade with a complementary big fruit basket. We were blown away by this huge upgrade.
Only thing that was a bit negative and unexpected is the extra deposit fee which is quite high.
I think this should have been more clearly informed in the hotell booking and hotell online page.
We were a bit low on funds as Banyan tree was our last hotell stay in China before leaving and we were on a planned but tight budget.
We solved it of course with our Mastercard but it caused a bit stress for us.
And a second thing is that using Alipay instead of WeChat is more difficult at the hotell. ( not impossible)But without Chinese phone number you can’t use WeChat.
