This old villa is absolutely stunning! The vintage floral tiles, French-style windows, and lush green courtyard make every photo feel like a retro masterpiece. The rooms perfectly preserve their original charm, yet the bedding is modern and comfortable, and the shower pressure is excellent. The butler was incredibly warm and attentive, offering many unique and off-the-beaten-path recommendations. Enjoying coffee in the courtyard under the morning sun was so delightful, I didn't want to leave. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen.

The sea-view room at Niaodao Seaview Chaosu (Zhongshan Road Store) offers an amazing view! Right when you open the curtains, you're looking at Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, and directly across is Gulangyu Island – you can clearly see the ferries. The room gets fantastic natural light, it's clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the service is incredibly attentive and friendly. Downstairs, there's a food street, and it's also very close to the Eighth Market, making transportation super convenient. The price is great value for money. I'm really satisfied with this trip and will definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen!

This is a fantastic hotel, far exceeding my expectations. 1. I was worried that an older hotel might have outdated facilities, but that wasn't the case at all. Instead, it offered a comfortable and serene atmosphere that comes with age and history. 2. Great value for money: excellent location, reliable cleanliness, and thoughtful service (I often worry about hygiene when a guesthouse is pretty and well-located, but not here). 3. Thoughtful service: The bathroom mat wasn't hung on the shower handle (they really get me!), laundry detergent was thoughtfully provided (major plus), and there was readily available butler service for communication (issues with rooms 089 and 117 were promptly resolved). They even offered welcome fruit and a complimentary breakfast and hair accessory for booking two consecutive nights. 4. The breakfast was amazing: a wide variety of high-quality dishes, constantly replenished, leaving me completely satisfied. I only took a picture of the tea served at the side of the hall, but it highlights the attention to detail in their service, truly living up to the Xiamen Hotel name.

The room and the hotel photos were consistent. The room wasn't big, but it was well-equipped. The location is very convenient, not far from Sanfang Qixiang, Youth Association, Shangxiahang, and Yantai Mountain. There are many restaurants and a market nearby, which is great.

The first night, we were assigned to the guesthouse, which I found inconvenient and didn't want to go to, but they said the main building was fully booked. The room was very spacious, which the two kids loved. It was indeed a bit out of the way, but the shuttle service made it very convenient, getting us to the main building within five minutes. The second night, we stayed in a family room on the first floor of the main building, which I personally really liked, and my younger daughter absolutely adored. Honestly, the first-floor room wasn't musty or damp as some online reviews claimed. As for breakfast, it was incredibly rich and hearty – we were stuffed! It was much more plentiful than the breakfast at the InterContinental we stayed at last year. Finally, regarding the service, my older son said he could find fault with other aspects, but the service was truly impeccable.

My stay at Yidu Chaosu with friends for this Xiamen trip truly exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Road and Xingfu Road, making it super convenient to get to other attractions like Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, and the Eight Markets. Even though it's located in a residential area, it's less than a minute's walk in, so it's tucked away from the main road, offering a quiet escape. The overall soundproofing is pretty good, as long as people aren't being overly noisy. The room has a wet and dry separation, is clean and tidy, and is decorated with great style. The natural light is excellent; it's a shame Xiamen has been rainy lately, otherwise, the photos would have turned out amazing. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, not only sending check-in instructions in advance but also recommending many local favorite snacks and lesser-known spots, helping us avoid a lot of tourist traps. They were always responsive on WeChat, providing excellent service. The ladies were all very friendly and approachable. There's also a large terrace on the rooftop with a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. Overall, the value for money is superb. If you're visiting Xiamen, staying here is definitely the right choice. I highly recommend it to friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

This hotel is located right in the Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, so you have plenty of food, drinks, and shopping right downstairs – super convenient! It's also very close to Gulangyu Island and easily accessible to places like Xiamen University. The staff are all very service-oriented, and all our needs were met promptly. The room was clean and hygienic, and they even have robots to deliver items, and all the facilities are complete. A very satisfying stay overall.

This guesthouse is perfectly situated on Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's best tourist areas. It offers panoramic views of Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach, with all sea-view rooms. The night view is mesmerizing, and by day, it feels like you're flying above Xiamen with clouds at your feet. The service is warm and attentive, especially friendly to cat lovers. Step downstairs, and you're right on Shapowei Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic! The street is packed with incredibly good value Xiamen specialty foods, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. This place offers exceptional value for money.

The hygiene, facilities, and service were all excellent. My room had a huge floor-to-ceiling window offering a panoramic view of Gulangyu Island. The hotel provides a complimentary gym, swimming pool, and a billiard table. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the dinner buffet was also very good.

We drove 7 hours from Ningbo, and this hotel is right in the city center. For a May Day holiday stay, the value for money was pretty good. Getting around the city is convenient by subway, and the station is right downstairs. Plus, the subway was free on May Day! The room was quite spacious, and I was really happy with the double sinks and bathtub. It was also pretty quiet at night. Breakfast was standard; it probably falls a bit short compared to five-star hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. The parking lot is on B3, and driving down there was a bit of a test for my parking skills. All the popular city attractions were swarming with people, so we skipped them, but Fudao is genuinely great. I recommend going early in the morning or around 5 PM, starting at entrance 3, and walking to entrance 5 or 7. It's about 5 kilometers and takes around 1.5 hours.
