I stumbled upon this nearly century-old mansion-style hotel during my trip, initially thinking it would just have a nice ambiance.
To my surprise, the front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient. They were enthusiastic and attentive throughout, making the check-in process efficient and thorough. They patiently answered all my questions with a comfortable and genuine tone, making me feel welcome and relaxed from the moment I walked in. There was no sense of distance at all.
The biggest surprise was the hotel's complimentary Qipao rental service. The Qipaos were exquisite and beautiful, instantly boosting the photo-taking atmosphere. I didn't even need to bring my own clothes to fully immerse myself in the retro charm of the old building – a truly thoughtful touch.
The hotel also has an elegant tea room where you can relax and have tea at your leisure, with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The public areas and rooms are adorned with exquisite decor: vintage carvings and antique pieces are tastefully combined with modern furnishings, perfectly showcasing the charm of a hundred-year-old mansion. Every corner shows meticulous care; despite being an old building, it's clean, elegant, and far from oppressive.
The hardware facilities are comfortable, and the old building has undergone modern upgrades, ensuring a pleasant and secure stay. Overall, it's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, offering both the historical depth of a century-old residence and attentive, personalized service with delightful added experiences. This stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it!

Excellent, I really loved it! 🥰 Five-star review! The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was great. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and check-in was very quick. The location is convenient, and overall it's super value for money. My stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this place again!

Please disregard the overall rating; the actual stay experience is detailed below. My reviews are always honest, but as fellow travelers, we understand the struggle, so I've given everything a 5-star rating this time.
First, let's talk about the positives. The Xiamen Hotel's location is indeed excellent. It's right next to the famous internet-hyped restaurant, Xiaoyanjing Da Pai Dang (which I honestly didn't find as good as online reviews suggested). Xiamen Botanical Garden's west gate is a short walk away, about ten minutes at most. Zhongshan Road is a 15-minute bike ride. The bus stop right outside has many routes (Xiamen's buses are a crucial mode of transport), making it very convenient to get to Xiamen Railway Station (to try Zhu Fugui), the ferry terminal, and so on. The hotel is also a ten-minute walk from the subway station (Zhongshan Park Station). As for accommodation, the front desk upgraded my room type. Although the facilities are a bit old, the stay experience was still good. This is understandable, as it's an older hotel, and you can see traces of its history in the decor throughout the building. Also, the hotel staff replaced the mattress with a firm one, which I appreciate.
Now for the rest. I believe hotel breakfast is the most direct way for tourists to understand a city and experience a hotel's service. However, Xiamen Hotel's breakfast was quite disappointing. There were only two coffee machines, one of which looked ancient, and the other was broken and not promptly repaired. While there was a variety of breakfast items, they were largely uninspired; perhaps the highlight was the many flavors of tea eggs. The fruit selection was very limited and didn't seem fresh. Among the live-cooking Xiamen specialty snacks, I only found the 'bian shi' (wontons) to be good (but they didn't offer dried shrimp skin...). I'm not sure if the others just aren't to my taste or if the hotel didn't prepare them well. Of the other hot dishes, only the fish balls were decent; the rest were mediocre. And the fried dough sticks (youtiao) were extremely bad – hard and dry. How were these made? Is making youtiao really that difficult? They should learn from excellent counterparts like Yuzhou Hotel and at least get something as simple as youtiao right...
The laundry service is self-service, but the experience was very poor. There are too many guests and too few washing machines, so you often have to wait in line until late at night. The machines also don't work well. I hope the hotel can improve this.
Overall, the entire stay experience was acceptable. I hope to see improvements when I visit next time.

We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM for two rooms, but one room wasn't ready until almost 6 PM. Honestly, I was quite surprised by the inefficiency; they really need to improve their speed. Upon entering the room, you could tell the hotel is a bit dated, and none of the facilities are smart. Our sea view room was located on a side with a vertical orientation, and the floor wasn't high enough, so we could only see a tiny glimpse of the sea diagonally. There are many outdoor pools and children's play facilities, but unfortunately, the water isn't heated. Due to the weather, we couldn't swim outdoors and had to use the indoor heated pool. The hotel provides sand-digging tools, and the beach is accessible through an underpass tunnel right outside the hotel. It was very crowded during the May Day holiday, but on a good day, you can still see the blue ocean. The hotel service isn't proactive; if you don't ask, they don't offer. I had noted in my order that we needed children's amenities, but they weren't in the room, so I had to call to have them sent up. Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM; the variety is quite rich, and the taste is decent. My child's favorite was Uncle Mario, who gave out balloons.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and bright, with a cozy and inviting layout. The location is super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. The front desk service was warm and attentive, with thoughtful details everywhere. It offers great value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations; the environment was immaculately clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The facilities were comprehensive and sufficient. The front desk staff were friendly and responsive to any issues, making for a worry-free and pleasant stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. This guesthouse has a wonderful atmosphere; the space is open and not cramped, with excellent natural light and views. It's very convenient for sightseeing, and the service is thoughtful and warm, making for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I sincerely recommend it to anyone traveling.

The location is great! This was my first time visiting the area, and my overall experience at this hotel was excellent. It's perfectly situated in the heart of Zhongshan Road's core commercial district, right outside the pedestrian street. Transportation, dining, and shopping are incredibly convenient. Hygiene is definitely not a concern; both the public areas and guest rooms are spotless and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were warm, generous, and provided professional service. Check-in was very fast, and any requests were promptly addressed. The overall environment is peaceful and comfortable. A truly great all-around experience!

This guesthouse is perfectly situated on Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's best tourist areas. It offers panoramic views of Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach, with all sea-view rooms. The night view is mesmerizing, and by day, it feels like you're flying above Xiamen with clouds at your feet. The service is warm and attentive, especially friendly to cat lovers. Step downstairs, and you're right on Shapowei Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic! The street is packed with incredibly good value Xiamen specialty foods, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. This place offers exceptional value for money.

What a waste of a good location, the service was absolutely disgusting, I'm never coming back! I was traveling with my child and had a reservation. We arrived at 1:30 PM, only to be told there were no rooms available and we had to wait. Fine, I'll wait. But when I asked when a room would be ready, they said they didn't know, just 'before 3 PM,' with a totally impatient attitude. Finally, at 3:26 PM, they told me a room was ready... Okay, I swallowed that. But then they insisted I provide my infant child's household registration or ID? My kid has been on planes and high-speed trains without needing an ID, why is it different here? I even endured that. The worst part was the staff member's even more atrocious attitude. She threatened me, saying if I didn't show the child's ID, she'd call the duty manager!! Are you kidding me? Am I here to be threatened by you? I've stayed in 95% of five-star hotels all over the world, and none of them have such unique requirements. If your rules are different, can't you just explain it properly? Why threaten guests???? Why don't you just call the police and accuse me of child trafficking??? What a joke!!!!!!!!!!

I chose Me Hotel in Fuzhou simply because it's new. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the staff's warmth and attentiveness. The room was quite luxurious and comfortable, and the hotel's location is super convenient, with the subway right at its doorstep. It's much quieter and offers better value for money than staying in the Sanfang Qixiang area. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Fuzhou. Fuzhou is a city rich in culture, and its civility is evident in all aspects – the service staff are generally high-quality, and ride-sharing cars are clean and tidy. It's a city worth visiting again and again.

GGuest UserFacilities: Super well-equipped, everything you could want is provided. The room is very spacious, and it's pretty quiet at night.
Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and patiently answered all our questions. Plus, there were lots of free snacks, loved it! 🫰🏻
Environment: It's a very short walk to Dahongpao, just across the street! The south gate of the scenic area is only 2km away, and a taxi costs just 7 yuan, super convenient!
Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy.
We had a fantastic time. Next time my friends visit, I'll definitely recommend this place to them, hehe~
GGuest UserThe hotel staff were all really nice and helpful. On the second floor, they offer a complimentary afternoon tea with fruits, wife cakes, and mini pastries, which was a lovely treat. It was great to relax there after a day out. The robot delivery service for takeaways to the room was super convenient. The location is excellent too; it's right by Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.
GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The hot spring pool was especially comfortable; after a soak, I felt completely relaxed, both body and mind. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel well-cared for from check-in to check-out.
AAnonymous UserStumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right within the Wuyi Mountains scenic area, about a 10-minute walk from Wuyi Palace, making it convenient to get everywhere. The hotel's overall environment is beautiful, and it has all the amenities you could need, including a washing machine, dryer, and vending machine. They even provide laundry detergent in the bathroom, which is a very thoughtful touch. Plus, the staff here are very friendly and accommodating; when I asked for water, they generously gave me two bottles.
GGuest UserWhat touched me most about this stay was what happened after I checked out. I was already at the airport, about to check in, when I suddenly received a call from the hotel's Assistant Lobby Manager, asking if I had left anything in the room safe. It was then that it hit me – my most important documents and belongings were still in there!
While I was incredibly anxious, the Assistant Lobby Manager didn't hesitate for a second. She immediately and decisively arranged for a driver to take my items from the hotel to the airport. In the end, I safely and smoothly retrieved everything without any delay to my travel plans.
My heartfelt thanks go out to the hotel's Assistant Lobby Manager and the staff for their attentiveness, honesty, and professionalism. Their proactive and responsible attitude, and their willingness to go above and beyond for guests, has truly changed my perception of your hotel's service. You not only helped me avoid a loss but also made me feel truly 'at home.' I will definitely choose this hotel again next time and recommend it to all my friends!
GGuest UserLet me start with the cons. There are limited parking spaces above ground, and the two-level underground garage also has a scarcity of oddly-designed spots. The lanes are very narrow, and my tire was scraped when I drove out after checking out.
Now for the pros: The location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Ba Shi (the Eighth Market), the Botanical Garden, and various walking trails. The underground garage door is sensor-controlled, opening and closing automatically, and there are projected indicators on the ground in the lanes, which is a nice touch. The room design is practical, featuring a separate walk-in closet. The two 1.2-meter beds have wheels, making them easy to move. The mattress was the biggest surprise—it's tall, very comfortable, and lives up to five-star hotel standards.
SspicecoffeeWhile the hotel isn't in the heart of the tourist district on the map, getting around is super easy since the island is small and taxis are readily available. It's only about a 2km taxi ride to the nearest beach (One Country, Two Systems Beach is what it's called locally, I believe), and major attractions are easily accessible by metro. Even taxi rides to further spots are usually under 30 minutes for about 10+ kilometers. For family trips, a well-managed apartment hotel like this is definitely the best choice.
AAnonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Coming to Xiamen for Jolin Tsai's concert, I was truly impressed by this hotel! When it comes to location, the biggest fear is a hassle. This hotel is super close to the airport, about a 15-minute taxi ride, so you arrive almost instantly, completely eliminating travel fatigue.
🚌 A special shout-out to the hotel's shuttle service! It took us directly from the hotel to the concert venue. After enjoying the show, while others were still queuing up for taxis, we were already comfortably heading back to the hotel. This 'unhurried' ease doubled the joy of attending the concert! The beach and wooden boardwalk next to the hotel were amazing! You can even take a stroll there.
🎤 From the moment I booked, Annie was like a thoughtful friend, arranging everything down to the smallest detail. Knowing I was there for a concert, she even checked if we had gotten on the shuttle. When checking out, Annie asked if I had received the deposit – truly attentive and thorough service. A perfect stay, next time I come to Xiamen, there's no doubt, it'll be this hotel!
