Romantic Hotels in Gansu, China

Facilities: The room wasn't as small as some online reviews suggested; in fact, it was quite spacious. The soundproofing was also better than expected, with sound-absorbing cotton installed in the walls. Cleanliness: Clean. Service: The concierge delivered our luggage to the room. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, there were ample staff to manage arrivals. We also received two small camel plushies and two cups of coffee, which was a very thoughtful touch. Environment: The hotel is a huge, three-story, 'Hui'-shaped building, full of local cultural charm. Areas for Improvement: As someone from the south, I'm not used to the indoor heating; it was too stuffy. I'd suggest providing nasal decongestants in the rooms for a more comfortable night's sleep.

Very mixed feelings about this hotel. The amenities are a plus: gym and laundry (but no dryer) for free and swim and massage (worth trying!) available on top. Breakfast is also amazing. Room is very spacious and little welcome gifts are provided, which is cute. However there is a very annoying smell of cigarette smoke EVERYWHERE. I usually don’t mind cigarette smoke but here it was very intense and disturbing. Also, no one in the staff speaks English or is equipped with any translation tool. The personnel seemed annoyed every time we were trying to communicate with them and couldn’t provide any help. So I think for Chinese standards this is a good hotel but I would say it is not the most suitable for international guests.

Health is very good, I think the front desk is very good. Auntie cleaning is also very good. The hotel is also convenient to take a taxi. It is to buy what to buy in advance when you go. The surrounding supermarkets open too late. Wake up at 8 o'clock in the morning and go out to buy things. No supermarket opens the door. This is not very good. The hotel has nothing to say. Great. Worth settling in. It is no exaggeration to say that Lanzhou West Railway Station Hotel is definitely in the top five.

I took so many great photos during my stay at this hotel; it's really photogenic! The hotel has so much character, and the ambiance is amazing. I highly recommend it! **Service:** The service was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and went above and beyond. Knowing we were on a road trip, they specially recommended local delicacies, sightseeing routes, and even some hidden photo spots in Jiayuguan. They also suggested a few hidden gem snack shops popular with locals – so thoughtful! Any requests we had during our stay were promptly met by the staff, who were always polite and never perfunctory. It really made us feel well taken care of. **Environment:** The room had fantastic natural light, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The front desk mentioned the mattress was imported. At night, we could even watch the stars and moon from the room and took some pictures. The location is also excellent, super close to the food street, making it convenient for exploring and dining. It's also a short drive to the Jiayuguan scenic area.

Although the old town is a modern interpretation of Lanzhou culture and architecture, I found it to be quite the oasis within the busy city. All famous landmarks are within 20-30 min. Overall, the location is sublime as I found everything I needed in the old town. Great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, spa, etc. The price is right and the bed was fantastic.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It's located in the heart of the pedestrian street where all the shops and restaurants are within steps away. Front desk staff are the best. They are professional, courteous and patient. For security reason, China Mobile locked my phone unless I showed up in person to verify my ID. I was so stuck I couldn't call anyone or business for my travel. Front desk staff was so gracious they went out of their way to make contact for me. I just had to ask and things got done. I haven't felt so pampered as a traveller for a long time. I definitely will stay with them if ever I revisit Lanzhou.

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is next to a shopping mall and a subway station. The environment is comfortable, clean and sanitary. The rooms are spacious. The attitude of the hotel staff is also super good. I highly recommend staying here.

The experience was great! The front desk lady was kind and checked in quickly. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I slept until dawn. Convenient location, convenient for eating and shopping around. High cost performance, highly recommended!

It’s a dreamlike feeling and the wilderness experience is great! When staying in the wilderness, the first thing is to look at the scenery. The scenery of the desert hills is not to mention. Although it is at the foot of the mountain, it is still refreshing. It’s also great to take photos in an open space. They gave us guidance on how to take pictures of the starry sky and provided a mobile phone holder. It was great. PS. If you come here, be sure to ask the housekeeper or the boss for a candlelight lantern (the store will provide it for free). The atmosphere for taking photos is great. Got it In terms of meals, we ordered a barbecue from the store and ate on the terrace of the room (four people can sit on it, and if more than four people eat on the sand below the terrace)
