The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended!
The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time.
The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

Great experience at LS Hotel. There’s a butler for each room. Our butler Mayling (小徐) is very helpful.
The view from our room is beautiful. They provided free afternoon tea and morning buffet every day in my booking, and one free 30 minutes photography session at the premises during my stay. The hotel can help you to book for some activities with small discount too, I believe they have partnership with some attraction providers. I booked the hot air balloon tour to see sunrise with 20rmb discount per person. However, it was unfortunately cancelled due to bad weather. I’d love to come back for it next time. I’ve been given some local snack packs and chilli sauce as souvenirs when I checked out, that’s very thoughtful.
The highlight for me is the Guilin Rice Noodles (Guilin Mifen) from the breakfast buffet. I tried two highly rated restaurants in the area but I think the one from the hotel breakfast buffet is the best. They have a noodle station that you can choose your own.
I’d recommend Guilin LS hotel and come back for another stay if I visit Guilin again.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled in the city center with a wonderfully elegant ambiance. Even though it's on a pedestrian street, you won't hear any noise – stepping inside feels like entering a tranquil paradise. The service is exceptional; they even helped us with our luggage during check-in and enthusiastically told us about Guilin's attractions. We felt a warmth like home in Guilin. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Guilin in the future!
Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

The hotel's biggest plus is its excellent location. We booked a lake-view room and could see Rong Lake right across. Just a short walk from the hotel is the Rong Lake scenic area, complete with a winding bridge. A little further takes you to Shan Lake, where you can admire the Sun and Moon Pagodas. We saw them during the day and then returned in the evening to enjoy their night view. Past the pagodas, you can walk to the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area. From there, it's a short stroll to Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street, Dongxi Alley, Central Square, and Zhongshan Middle Road. We spent a whole day on a city walk, really soaking in Guilin's urban atmosphere. In the evening, passing by Rong Lake, we even stumbled upon an older brass band playing everything from 'Butterfly Lovers' to 'Woman Flower,' with people spontaneously joining in with square dancing – it was so much fun! The hotel breakfast offered rice noodles and oil tea, which was a great local experience. Another bonus is that each floor has a laundry room and dryer, and you can even leave a note for the staff to help with washing and delivery. No more waiting around for a washing machine!

This hotel boasts stunning scenery, offering an unobstructed view of the Li River. We stayed in a room with a terrace, where we could relax on a recliner and watch the sunrise and sunset – truly deserving of its spot on Asia's most beautiful hotels list. The room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a smart toilet and fast hot water. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were all very enthusiastic and provided excellent service. You can also go fishing by the river on the ground floor, and in the afternoon, there's cormorant fishing where you can take free photos – a great experience if you're with kids. Plus, the hotel's central location makes it convenient for visiting many attractions.

Let's start with check-in. After I checked in, the front desk attendant personally escorted me to my room, added me on WeChat, and even provided a travel guide, which was great. The room facilities are truly excellent, and the room itself is very spacious, making for a fantastic experience. It's close to all the main attractions, so you can easily walk back to the hotel. Once back, they offer mung bean porridge, various teas, and fruits. It's genuinely worth recommending. I took a video of the hotel environment, but I can't seem to upload it.
Xixi Hot Spring♨️ has become a regular spot for us, and this is our first visit this year. We came as a family of four. They’ve built a new highway, so it's a short drive from the exit. Usually, we come during off-peak times, but this time we chose a weekend, so it was a bit crowded, though still acceptable. The price was about 200 yuan higher than usual. When booking, I requested a high floor and a quiet room, which they mostly accommodated. However, the non-smoking request was a bit awkward. I'm not sure if it was a neighbor upstairs, downstairs, or next door, but the smoke smell permeated our room. While we were in our private hot tub, the smell of smoke was constant and very unpleasant. We had to keep the door closed. It wasn't a big deal for the adults, but mainly for the child👶🏻. I can't blame the staff who assigned the room, nor can I stop people from smoking, as that's their freedom, so it was really awkward.
Other aspects: Compared to our previous visits, there are more hot spring pools now. They've built many new buildings, the main entrance has been moved, and there are more children's entertainment facilities. The resort is growing larger.
Room: The room was relatively clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly. We bought some local Nanxiang roast duck for a late-night snack. When we called the front desk at night to ask if they had a microwave, they offered to come to our room and help heat it up. The service was excellent and very enthusiastic.
Outdoor Hot Spring: The small pools near the children's playground were a bit dirty, with a lot of large pieces of dead skin. It was quite disgusting. We didn't notice it at first, and our child even went in for a dip. We immediately made them take a shower. The other pools were quite clean, despite the large number of people.
Buffet Dinner: This was my first time trying the buffet; previously, we always ordered à la carte at the hotel restaurant upstairs. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and the roast goose was absolutely amazing – crispy skin and great flavor. The oysters were also delicious, and there was an unlimited supply of short ribs. Basically, everything was there except for a limited selection of seafood, which only included shrimp🦐, calamari rings, and mussels.
Buffet Breakfast: The variety was extensive, just like before, but there were only a few things I really wanted to eat. They had congee, noodles, and rice, but nothing new. I was quite disappointed that they didn't have steamed phoenix claws and spare ribs, which I think should be standard dim sum items.
To sum it all up, it's pretty good! There are always some minor imperfections, and I look forward to improvements...

Overall pleasant hotel with nice mountain views. We liked the service, the reception staff was kind enough to help us connect with local railway company to find a lost item we left on the train. Swimming pool is nice, rooms are very spacious and have beautiful furniture, design is very ergonomic. Very good local noodles for breakfast. We received photography coupon as a bonus, it was fun taking photos in a traditional costume, highly recommended experience!
Things to improve: robes, pillows and blankets are made from synthetic materials and are not pleasant to touch, it is better to change to natural materials; shower box is leaking too much, need to fix this; it would be great to have more local fruit and sweets for breakfast like buns, mochi, kumquat erc. - western baked stuff does not taste that good.
Note for April 2026 -- there is a massive construction happening around the romance park, so construction cranes can be seen in the distance. There is no noise, but it can spoil the view a little.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and comprehensive, and they even have robots delivering meals, which is incredibly thoughtful.
Cleanliness: It's very clean, which gives you peace of mind.
Environment: It's located right above MixC, making it convenient to go anywhere.
Service: Ms. Elva was patient and meticulous throughout, explaining everything wonderfully.
Guangxi Specialty ”Gongwenbao” Welcome Drink: So delicious! A must-try when in Nanning!
This trip was for a business trip. I stayed at the same place for the working days, but I decided to extend my stay by one more day before heading back, wanting to experience Nanning's tallest hotel. Shangri-La is a well-established brand; the first 5-star hotel I ever stayed in was a Shangri-La. I was pleasantly surprised this time after booking when a staff member, Ms. Elva, directly escorted me from the front desk to the Horizon Club lounge for VIP reception. She also upgraded my room type, giving me a more expansive view and greater comfort. During the reception, she gave me a Guangxi ”Gongwenbao” fruit tea and a bag of Luosifen! After entering the room, she meticulously explained how to use everything, which was very thoughtful and responsible!
It's a pity that I caught a cold and had a fever the day before checking in this time. Besides ordering takeout once and having breakfast the next morning, I didn't get to properly enjoy the other facilities, which is a bit of a regret. However, having regrets means there's a next time to make it perfect. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future! 😊

GGuest UserThe Riverview is a fantastic hotel to stay in Yangshuo!
Located very close to Longtoushan wharf, it's very easy to get to if you come to Yangshuo via the cruise.
The staff are very helpful, they gave me all the resources I needed during my stay, and were able to be contacted at any point via WeChat.
The room was lovely, a comfortable bed and a fantastic view from the balcony!
I'd definitely recommend the Riverview to anyone staying in Yangshuo.

AAbuzabi-kakaMy first time in Guilin, and my ten-day stay here has been wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuine care from every single staff member.
My day always started pleasantly with the buffet breakfast at 'Li Café' on the first floor. They offer not only a rich international feast but also authentic Guilin rice noodles and other local specialties. Nick Liang and his team are always hands-on, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly.
Disy Chen from the Horizon Club is incredibly enthusiastic, always anticipating guests' needs, and her attention to detail makes you feel like family.
Anna Quan from housekeeping on the 7th floor exemplifies Shangri-La's meticulous service. Her thoughtful and detailed care makes the room a truly relaxing sanctuary.
Concierge staff proactively open doors and handle luggage, always with a genuine smile, as if welcoming a family member home from a long journey. The service is seamless.
Our hotel boasts a massive 'Twin Camphor Garden' right by the river. The gardening staff not only maintain the plants beautifully but also greet guests with a warm smile, making you feel very welcome.
The back garden also features a mini zoo, which is cleaned meticulously every morning with no unpleasant odors, showing the hotel's care for every little creature.
If you're looking for a warm and genuinely touching place to stay in Guilin, this is absolutely the ideal choice.

GGuest UserOur stay was excellent! My mom kept raving about how clean the hotel was, the spacious room, and the great service. We originally booked a room in Building B, but the front desk staff upgraded us to Building A because we had a lot of luggage and my mom is older. Building A has an elevator, which was very convenient. The room had a lovely minimalist, natural wood style – exactly what I like – and a small balcony. The balcony faced the mountains, so the air was fresh, and we could hear birds chirping. My mom and I really enjoyed sitting out there and having tea. There's a huge rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the mountains and the river. The hotel is super close to West Street, about a 30-meter walk, but despite West Street being bustling, the hotel itself was very quiet. I'd definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to my friends. Overall, a fantastic experience! It's also very close to all the surrounding scenic spots.

GGuest UserWorth every penny! Choosing this hotel was an excellent decision, especially for a family trip with kids. The rooms are spacious, and the windows offer stunning views of the Yulong River and its picturesque landscape. The facilities are comprehensive, making our family stay very comfortable. What delighted the kids most was the hotel's swimming pool; they didn't even want to go out, preferring to just swim at the hotel. Even though the weather isn't hot yet, it couldn't dampen their love for playing in the water. The hotel management's service was also fantastic, even providing towels for the children while they were swimming. The breakfast at the restaurant was plentiful, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The Basque cheesecake was delicious, and the coffee was pure. Dinner was also very good. Overall, we were extremely satisfied! Many spots at the hotel are perfect for photos, and every shot looks like it's from a magazine.

SSeet-HutterThis hotel directly overlooks the picturesque Li River where you can witness the fishermen's bamboo rafts with their cormorants anchored to the promenade. It's a popular spot for tourists in their hired period costumes trying to achieve the most photogenic shot of Yangshuo's world-renowned karst mountains. The hotel's roof terrace on the fifth floor offers uninterrupted vistas of this stunning landscape. The hotel's buffet breakfast is great value for its price and comes highly recommended. The hotel rooms are spacious and even those which face inwards look out to a leafy courtyard with pretty fountains. The staff, from the chambermaids to the lady at the guest laundry, were all super helpful. Special thanks to Maya/沫沫 at the front desk who devised an excellent itinerary for our private excursion with a driver. Equally outstanding was Lacey/橙子, also at the reception. She was very accommodating to the multiple requests of hotel guests, and in a truly earnest rather than perfunctory manner. Both of them are assets to the service industry. The hotel's attention to detail in terms of its interior design is laudable : the concept of Yangshuo's landscape is visually captured throughout the hotel - from the nameplate at its entrance to the signage of the room numbers, they all feature symbolic silhouettes of those iconic karst mountains and the fishermen with their cormorants. One suggestion to the hotel's management is for them to provide an English language news channel on their television : in view of the increasing foreign clientele, it is indeed glaring that even their national CGTN news channel is not available.

GGuest UserChoosing this hotel was a great decision! The location is excellent, super convenient for West Street and the pier. I booked a room in the main building, and the view directly overlooked the Yulong River with the 'camel crossing the river' formation – absolutely stunning. Waking up to such picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scenery was incredible! They also have electric scooter rentals right outside. The hotel boasts a spacious lawn with activities like football, archery, and a swimming pool. You can even take photos with cormorants, and they offer travel photography services. The photographer was really funny, and we got a discount on extra digital negatives and editing for our travel shoot, which the kids loved! Breakfast was extensive, and we even received complimentary evening desserts. If you don't feel like going out, you can order dinner in. All in all, both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed it, and we even received a parting gift when we checked out!

JJiaojiaoChoosing Lijiang Poyin for my Guilin trip was definitely the right decision! The hotel is located right by Shan Lake, part of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, and next to the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Elephant Trunk Hill, East and West Alleys, and Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street are all just a few minutes' walk away. All the main attractions are within walking distance, so there's no need to rush for transportation or battle crowds. I booked a lake-view room, and the entire room was spotlessly clean, with new and complete facilities. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a truly restful sleep. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The Cloud Restaurant on the top floor offers excellent views, and there are even intangible cultural heritage handicraft experiences available. Staying here in Guilin is absolutely worth it – I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
