Wow! Where do I even begin…?! Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived until we left, we experienced friendliness from all the staff members. They were all always eager to help and most of them can speak a little English but the translator works wonders as well and they were all very patient with using it. We initially only booked for one night but once arriving at the hotel and seeing the premises and rooms, we knew we had to immediately book another night as it exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, the room we were in wasn’t available for the second night but the staff upgraded us to a better room for the second night with one of the most amazing views! Breakfast was served as a buffet, it’s not very big but it has everything you need and it was delicious! There is a tea experience daily after 6:30pm where you can sit around the fire and grill some nuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes and snack on fruits while sipping on some iced white tea. On the 4th floor of the main building there is also a tea room where you can make your own tea and sip on it while enjoying the magnificent views from the viewing deck. On our second day, Jiao Jiao, the manager of the hotel, took us to the Baling River museum of bridges as well as to the viewing point of Dishuitan Waterfall. She was so helpful, friendly & kind. This hotel will forever be special to us as we got engaged here on our first night so we will definitely be back for many more visits in the future. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. If you find yourself looking for a place to relax and unwind, look no further! Book this hotel, you won’t regret it! Special thank you to all the staff that helped us during our stay - 小陶、小万和小绒 - you were all so attentive and went above and beyond. All I can say is thank you!! See you again soon!
Xingyi Wanfenglin Yueqili Homestay

Wanfenglin National Scenic Spot
Throughout our travels across Asia over the years, this hotel has stood out as one of the most memorable among the many we've stayed at. From the get-go, this hotel nestled in Xingyi's stunning Wanfenglin Landscape captured our hearts with its genuine hospitality and cozy atmosphere. The staff here are pure gold – super helpful and always smiling, making us feel right at home. Our host was a total gem, sharing insider tips on exploring the area that made our trip extra special. The location? Absolutely killer! Right in the middle of those jaw-dropping karst formations, we could step out for a morning stroll or sunset hike among the peaks without breaking a sweat. It was nature lover’s paradise meets relaxing escape. Rooms were spacious, clean, and just what you need after a day of adventure. In short, this place nailed it! With top-notch service and views to die for, it's not just a hotel; it's an experience that feels tailor-made for anyone seeking a personal connection with Xingyi's natural wonders. We can't wait to come back and relive the magic. Definitely recommend for those looking for a down-to-earth stay with a touch of class amidst breathtaking scenery. Btw, We are here for Jan 1st 2024, the fireworks and atmosphere is unforgettable.

Stay here! Customer service is unparalleled. Every front desk employee goes out of her-his way to help facilitate with tea drinking, laundry services, taxi calls, etc. Lobby is amazing spot with a tea shop area, coffeehouse segment, library/movie theater and dining area. Rooms are wonderfully well appointed, with extra large bathroom and fantastically large waterfall shower. Bed is super comfy. I recommend the third floor. Great outdoor patio for drying clothing and shoes. Ideal location for runners/hikers/cyclists. Directly across street is a river with nice boardwalk. Folks swim here, as well. Just about two kilometers out is perhaps the most amazing paved road running course in the world. Follow it way, way out as it stretches into the mountains and farmland areas. Incredible. Hotel is about 20-22km from main entrance to Fanjingshan. However, no big deal taking a taxi there. It’s more than worth it to experience hotel here, surroundings in town and beyond, and also visit park. I recommend at least 3 nights here. Many restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. Most difficult part is leaving this place…Highly recommended!

100 points, you can see that the boss is running the inn with heart! [About service] In Cantonese, it is said: no bomb! There is nothing wrong with it. The service attitude is very good. He will help carry the luggage upstairs. When he came downstairs to check out, he immediately came to help carry the luggage. He also included breakfast, including soup noodles, porridge, brown sugar buns, eggs, and soy milk (still squeezed with real ingredients). Finally, I went to Miaozhai the next day and didn’t know how to operate Haoxing.com, so the boss helped me buy it. The next day, he also sent us to the bus station and sent us to Xiaoqikong with an elderly couple. The boss is very good. [About the room] The room is clean and hygienic, all disposable, including towels. Few homestays can do this, and it is a smart toilet. I went there in the off-season and upgraded the room for free. It is not far from the main street for eating (about 5 minutes away), which is quiet in the hustle and bustle! It is precisely because of these that I have a good impression of Xiaoqikong. By the way, pay attention to avoid the pits of Qianhu Miaozhai, whoever goes there will be a big complaint

We arrived at the hotel a little after 2 o'clock. The front desk gave us a free room upgrade, but the room had not been cleaned yet. We had to wait for a while before we could check in. The room was neatly decorated, but there were still many shortcomings in the details, such as no power sockets in the office area and the mosquito repellent plug in the room was loose and damaged, but these were not big problems. The biggest problem with this hotel is that the air conditioner does not cool at night. The room temperature displayed on the thermostat before going to bed was more than 25 degrees. I set it to 24 degrees. When I woke up, I found that the room was very stuffy and the thermostat showed more than 27 degrees. This is the first time I have encountered such an outrageous situation. During breakfast in the restaurant, I heard other guests also reporting the same problem. Is this what Huazhu's high-end brand Huajiantang means?
Black Hotel

Unfortunately Black Hotel looks better in pictures than it does in person. The pros of this hotel are: 1) It’s in a great location (in the downtown vicinity) 2) The hotel room (party room) is massive that it can actually accommodate a party 3) The room is well furnished The cons of this hotel are: 1) The room is not maintained well so you can see stains on the wall, paint peeling off the wall and you will find bugs in the windowsill 2) The curtain separating the bedroom and bathroom is not a good idea at all (for obvious reasons) 3) The water in the shower is absolutely COLD 4) The toilet doesn’t flush properly 5) There is a club next to this hotel and the loud music pulsates through the hotel robbing you of a good nights sleep I will not return to this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone. Staying at this hotel feels like you’re living in a cesspool of debauchery. It’s disgusting.
Zizai Shanju Yeshe Chain Inn

Location: The hotel is positioned at a relatively higher geographical area. If you get one of the rooms that faces the village, you can have an amazing view of the buildings. Service: The concierge was immensely helpful and friendly. They provided me with awesomely reliable recommendations for places to visit, things to do or restaurants to eat at. They also helped me book event tickets and find cars to get to scenic spots. Additionally, I had a few great talks with them. They hold a simple and honest attitude for life, just like the other villagers I talked to here. On top of everything, they give free sweet snacks! Amenities: Great everything! Unlimited supplies of water! Cleanliness: I saw a stain or so on a pillow. But overall, apart from it, it was nice and neat. Highly recommended.
Indigo Lodge Zhaoxing

My friend and I stayed here for one night and, whilst overall our stay was fine, I did feel some things were lacking. The room was large, with plenty of space, but the bathroom was tiny. The windows were entirely frosted which meant there was no view of the outside, which made the room feel rather claustrophobic. But BY FAR the biggest problem for me was the air conditioning. It was on constantly, at the lowest setting, but the room never cooled down throughout our stay. It wasn’t particularly hot at the end of August but with the lack of windows that opened, and high humidity, it made the room feel very stuffy and affected my sleep. The temperature of the room is an important factor for me and I wouldn’t stay here again without knowing beforehand that the AC was working as it should.
Xijiang Story Resort Hotel (Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village No. 4 Fengyu Bridge Branch)
4.5/5205 Reviews
It is very convenient in the scenic area, and there is no need to climb mountains. There is also a square across the river, where many people are taking photos. In the morning, I saw a group of people dancing in the square with small stools. You can see the night view of the Miao village. The facilities are good, the hygiene is good, the surrounding environment is beautiful, and the service is great. I booked a 1.5-meter single bed, and the hotel upgraded it to a 2-meter double bed room. I am very satisfied. I took a few photos in the embroidered Miao skirt at the beauty back and the top terrace.

Huangguoshu Waterfalls
Arrived at Huangguoshu at 2pm, took a taxi, and was supposed to stop at the west gate, but the driver sent me to the emergency exit, and the hotel staff took me there. The hotel is a little far from the bus stop for the waterfall, and it feels a bit far to walk on a hot day. I will go to Tianxing Bridge for a break in the afternoon. Believe me, if you are physically fit, you can do it all the way. I took my 77-year-old father and 73-year-old mother, and it took about an hour and 40 minutes. We took the cable car, and there was a free shuttle bus after getting off the cable car. There was no long commercial street as everyone said, and we took the bus directly back to the waterfall. The Tianxing Bridge Cave was a surprise, and the Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall was not beautiful at all without water. There is a Xiaguan Waterfall next to the Huangguoshu Waterfall Hotel, which can be seen by navigation and is also very close. The next morning, I went to see the waterfall up close. If you don't take the elevator, you can go in earlier. The elevator opens on time at 7 o'clock. Now the Water Curtain Cave is closed, so you can only climb up to the viewing platform to see the waterfall, which is a pity. The water volume of the waterfall is not large enough, but the surprise is the Doupotang Waterfall, which has a good water volume. The good thing about staying in a scenic spot is that it is convenient to plan routes and you don't have to squeeze in with the crowds. Of course, I went there in the off-season. The room at Heyuan was over 600, and I think the price/performance ratio is good. The food in the hotel restaurant is OK, the cauliflower and peas are delicious, but the beef with skin is too fat and not worth it.
