SScottYoungFor those looking to ski, this hotel's location is absolutely perfect. The front desk staff are very warm and helpful. Although the rooms are simple, they are clean and comfortable. Ski equipment was already prepared in the locker, and the staff were very enthusiastic in assisting us. The only downside was that some people were smoking in the common areas and no one seemed to be managing it.

11360171****Arrived at the hotel with a mix of excitement and apprehension for winter in Harbin. As soon as we stepped out of the car, a handsome bellboy at the entrance, upon learning we were checking in, immediately helped with our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. The young lady at the front desk was warm and efficient with the check-in process, and the manager proactively upgraded our room. During our stay, a friendly host came to introduce the hotel's history and available services, then led us to our room, explaining how to use the facilities. We instantly felt at home. The century-old Russian-style aristocratic elevator is still operational, and the antique gramophone still plays music. The lobby is grand and opulent, with old artworks adorning the walls, truly showcasing the ceremonial charm of an historic hotel. Breakfast was also good, with specialties like pan-fried steak. While having coffee in the room, I accidentally broke a saucer, and the manager promptly assisted with the issue and waived the fee. Upon departure, they even gave us thoughtful little snacks. It was a very pleasant stay. My fondness for Harbin now comes from the warm people we encountered. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The moment you push open the hotel’s heavy wooden door, you’re struck by a dramatic contrast: outside, temperatures can plunge to minus 20 degrees Celsius, while inside, the space is warmly heated and filled with the soft, comforting tones of wood. This sharp contrast creates a deep sense of “safety” that many travelers find especially reassuring in extreme winter destinations.
The location is highly convenient. Numerous restaurants and entertainment facilities are nearby, making it easy to dine out or explore without long travel times. I was particularly drawn to the hotel’s Russian-style architecture—its pointed roofs, wooden structures, and strong geometric lines. These elements are not just decorative; they are practical designs shaped by the realities of heavy snowfall in high-latitude regions.
Heating at the hotel is excellent. Even in the depths of winter, it’s comfortable enough to wear short sleeves indoors while watching snowflakes drift past the window. The rooms are relatively spacious. While some of the furnishings show signs of age, they are well maintained and add a certain sense of character rather than detracting from the experience.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, always willing to help and provide information when needed. Their warmth and attentiveness contribute greatly to the overall comfort of the stay.

I like this hotel very much. There are only five plank road snow view rooms in Xuexiang, all of which are in this hotel. The housekeepers at the front desk are super nice. They will pick you up at the mountain gate. You can find the front desk if you need anything. It is very convenient and warm. And the location is also very good. It is also very close to the big stone tablet. It is very convenient to take the scenic area bus. Xuexiang is really good. The price is not as expensive as it is said. There are also many performances. It is recommended to wear a pair of non-slip and waterproof snow boots, and you must wear gloves 🧤 It is a must for the little fairy who is afraid of cold.

LLouisaaa_We chose the Retro Era room at Snow Mushroom Hotel in Xuexiang, and it was an amazing experience! The room decor had so much character – old wooden cabinets, floral bedspreads, feather duster hanging on the wall, and antique kettles; every little detail was full of nostalgia. The *kang* (heated brick bed) was wide and super comfortable. The three of us sat cross-legged on it, chatting and playing cards. We could even order food to our room, which really amplified the ambiance. Despite the retro style, the facilities were excellent. They even provided a humidifier, which helped with the dry air. The hygiene was also top-notch; bedding was changed for every guest, and the room was spotless with no strange odors. The hotel's Northeastern dishes were also superb – the river fish, *luandun* (stew), and cabbage dumplings were authentic and generously portioned, offering great value for money. They delivered the food directly to our room, and enjoying authentic Northeastern cuisine on a warm *kang* was pure bliss! The service was also very thoughtful; they contacted us via WeChat before check-in to provide directions and important information. I highly recommend this room type for both family trips and friends traveling together – you won't regret it!

The bedding was spotless and odorless, the desk and floor were immaculate, and the bathroom was dry with no dirty corners – not even a speck of dust. It felt so clean and reassuring to stay there. As someone who pays attention to details, I'm extremely satisfied. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who values cleanliness. Plus, the hotel offers a very thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service from the station.

MM383603****This isn't my first time in Snow Town, and I'm pretty familiar with most of the accommodations in the scenic area. However, this hotel still managed to surprise me! The shuttle bus from the Wuchang Mountain Gate dropped us directly at the hotel entrance, saving us the hassle of dragging our luggage. I was traveling with my child and mother this time, and the hotel restaurant staff thoughtfully prepared warm milk and toast for my baby for breakfast. This was by far the best breakfast I've had at any accommodation in Snow Town – none of that plain porridge and pickles they usually serve. The buffet had so many options to choose from! The living environment was also excellent, very quiet and the room was spotless. They even provided disposable toilet seat covers. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to sort out numerous issues for me. Many thanks to them! I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

Coming back from the Harbin Ice and Snow World, it was freezing, but a bowl of wontons instantly warmed me up. Although the facilities are a bit old, the service is outstanding. Everyone is incredibly attentive and always smiling. They even upgraded my room for free!

__M1391010****I can truly call this guesthouse a boutique gem. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a simple yet stylish decor, and the thoughtful service truly adds to its charm. The family suite features bunk beds, which is perfect for a family of four like ours.
The heating is excellent, and showering is convenient; you'll never feel cold indoors. Even when it's -20 degrees Celsius outside, you can comfortably wear a t-shirt inside.
The owner is incredibly welcoming, and the staff are attentive to every detail. You can bring any request to them, and they'll diligently assist. Every inquiry was met with a surprisingly positive response. Their meticulous service left us with a warm and wonderful experience during our trip.
The guesthouse's own restaurant was also full of pleasant surprises. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. While it might not be as luxurious as a five-star hotel, it had a great balance of meat and vegetables, and both Chinese and Western dishes were available. The owner even prepared dishes according to guests' preferences, which was incredibly thoughtful. Lunch and dinner were made to order. The ingredients were fresh and never skimped on, and the tables and cutlery were clean and neat. Every detail reflected the owner's meticulous management philosophy.
More than half of the other guests staying there were from overseas. Everyone got along harmoniously and chatted happily at the guesthouse, unlike the isolated rooms of a five-star hotel where there's no interaction. This place felt more like a community of neighbors, where strangers became friends within the guesthouse.

MMilansecretEverything about this hotel was great. Even though it was cold outside, the moment we stepped in, it was wonderfully warm. It's really close to Central Street and the subway station, and there's a bus stop right outside, which made it super convenient for traveling with seniors and kids. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We stayed for four nights and managed to see all the main attractions like Snow Town and the Ice and Snow World.
