"This time, I was traveling with my parents and my child. Since my little one wasn't feeling well, I really needed a great hotel, and this one truly didn't disappoint. The room had two queen beds plus a sofa bed, perfect for our family of five. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful night view outside the window. Everyone in the family praised my choice. My dad stood there, cup of tea in hand, for quite a while, saying, 'Looking at these lights just brightens my mood.' My child was glued to the window, gazing into the distance, and asked if it was a lighthouse. The hotel is only three or four minutes from the bus station, which was great since my parents walk a bit slower โ no worries about rushing for our bus. In the mornings, I'd take my child for a stroll in the small park downstairs, and then we'd come back just in time for breakfast. They had hot congee and mini steamed buns, which my parents loved, and my child enjoyed the special kids' area with small cakes and yogurt. When it was time to check out, the front desk staff saw we had a lot of luggage and proactively helped us carry it. Of all the places we've stayed on this trip, this hotel was truly a hit with the whole family."

"I brought my family to Dalian for a short trip and stayed at the Guoshi Hotel. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and giving it a five-star rating. The location is perfect for traveling with seniors and children; it's very close to the Gangwan Square subway station, making it easy to get to major attractions without dragging luggage around. There are breakfast shops and fruit stores downstairs, so getting food is very convenient. You can also walk to the shopping district without needing to drive. The value for money completely exceeded my expectations; it's rare to find such spacious and clean rooms at this price in a city center location. The room was meticulously cleaned, and the beds were wide enough for my whole family to stay comfortably without feeling cramped. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, which is very convenient when showering with kids, and the hot water supply is stable. The soundproofing is good too, so we weren't disturbed by hallway noise. (2) Looking at the hotel floor plan, there are three types of hotel rooms: south-facing, north-facing (facing the train track), and interior windowless. I stayed in a room facing north (facing the train tracks). With the windows closed and the curtains drawn, it wasn't noisy (trains don't run at night).
(3) The room layout is reasonable, with washing, bathing and toilets separated, and each area is large.
(4) The breakfast variety is relatively rich. In the afternoon and evening, there are free millet porridge and snacks to fill the stomach, giving the hotel guests extra consideration."

"Five-star review! While this hotel doesn't boast five-star facilities, its service far surpasses many newly renovated hotels, offering a truly heartwarming experience.
Service: The steps at the entrance were quite high, and the staff, seeing us with luggage, immediately came over to help carry it up. It was incredibly thoughtful. The room hygiene was meticulously maintained, with every corner spotless.
Special mention goes to the older staff members at the front desk; they are steady, thorough, and their service is attentive and sincere.
Room: The room was spacious and open, with plenty of power outlets, making it super convenient to charge phones and power banks at any time.
Cleanliness: Excellent and thorough. I had read reviews mentioning only paper cups and was a bit hesitant, but upon arrival, I saw that in addition to regular reusable cups, they also provided paper cups!
Facilities: Not brand new, but very comfortable. The only minor issue was some water accumulation in the bathroom after a long shower, but it was manageable.
Overall, it offers great value for money. It's my top choice for accommodation when traveling, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dalian!
Outside the hotel, there are countless snack stalls, breakfast spots, and supermarkets, and the old-fashioned tram makes getting around incredibly convenient."

I specifically booked a room with a view in the villa area. After I got to the room, they contacted me again to say the air conditioner was leaking, so they wanted me to switch to a downstairs room. The downstairs room felt sunken, dark, and had no view at all. Later, I said I didn't want to switch, and another person said it was fixed yesterday and wouldn't leak! The view from the second floor is as shown in the picture! Also, I don't know if it's the location or an issue with the AC unit, but the outdoor unit makes a very loud buzzing sound, the AC inside the room buzzes, and it's even louder outside! I could hear the buzzing all night; it felt like several machines were right outside the door! The staff at the fish spa area (picture three) also had a very bad attitude! And the staff in the dining area asked for good reviews!

Aside from a long wait during check-in, everything else was fantastic: the fifth-floor garden is charming both day and night, and the room's crystal chandeliers and carved wall decorations exude the luxury of an economic boom period. Even the chairs are incredibly heavy โ they really spared no expense with the materials! However, the curtain on one of the windows in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of light as soon as it got bright outside. Other than that, everything was perfect!

The breakfast had a great variety and high quality, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Michael, the Lobby Manager! We had a packed schedule in the afternoon and didn't have time to go back to the hotel to pick up our stored luggage. Michael proactively helped us by coordinating with our driver to have the luggage delivered directly to the airport. This saved us valuable time and ensured we made our return journey smoothly. We are very satisfied with all the hotel's services! We will definitely choose Shangri-La again for our next trip!

Anonymous UserCleanliness: terrible. Didnt notice the urine stain around the toilet bowl until second day. Informed the counter but can only clean the next day. Didnt dare to use the toilet for the entire 4 days. Beside the urine stained toilet, the staff didnt bother to put my pillows in place. Tea bags wasnt refilled until i feedback to the counter. Very slipshod cleaning work.
Counter service: Excellent. Helped me contact rider when my parcel went missing.
Bathroom: would prefer if theres hook inside the bathroom. Feels very cold coming out after shower to retrieve towes.
Room: No soundproof at all. Wont recommend if you are a light sleeper. Lighting is good and bright.

We ate at the restaurant that evening; the prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the food was tasty. The complimentary hot spring bath had excellent water quality. Our itinerary was to climb Qianshan Mountain on the first day, stay here that night, and then soak in the hot spring on the second day โ perfect!

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal๐ญ The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

Environment: Loved it, a perfect family-friendly hotel.

The hotel's own activities are suitable for young children.
It's very close to the beach, so getting to the sand is super convenient. My kids' favorite activity every day was walking to the beach. After they got tired of playing, we'd head back to rest, and from our room, we could hear the sound of the waves. It truly felt like 'facing the sea, with spring blossoms all around'.

Guest UserWe brought our child to Dalian this time, and staying at the Xinghai Holiday Hotel was definitely the right choice! The hotel's location is superb, with the Cross-Sea Bridge and Xinghai Square right outside our window. My child would eagerly press their face against the window every morning to watch the sea. What truly touched us was the duty manager, Manager Ning. Upon learning we were traveling with our 7-year-old son, Manager Ning specially upgraded us to a higher-floor sea-view room, offering an even more expansive view. They even thoughtfully provided children's toothbrushes and slippers. Throughout our stay, Manager Ning would always crouch down to chat with my child whenever we met, asking if they were having fun โ truly approachable and friendly. The hotel was clean, and the staff were all very welcoming. This experience made our whole family feel warm and cared for. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Dalian! A heartfelt thank you to Manager Ning and the entire team for their dedicated service!

The front desk staff were very welcoming and even gave us a small gift, which we really appreciated. A big shout-out to the hotel's front desk! The room attendant was also incredibly friendly and did an excellent job cleaning; the room was spotless and very tidy, and she even helped organize our clothes. The food was good, and the hotel offers great value for money. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time.

ZhuoerminminOur first stop in Dalian was this Holiday Inn, and it was an excellent experience. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the staff member in black was incredibly attentive. Despite the late hour, they patiently helped us with check-in, explained all the facilities, and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. We were a family of three, and even though our room originally included breakfast for two, the hotel kindly added a third complimentary breakfast every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and tidy, the hotel grounds were spacious, and it was convenient to get to the beach. As an international chain, Holiday Inn consistently delivers on quality, and I highly recommend it.
