"This time, I was traveling with my parents and my child. Since my little one wasn't feeling well, I really needed a great hotel, and this one truly didn't disappoint. The room had two queen beds plus a sofa bed, perfect for our family of five. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful night view outside the window. Everyone in the family praised my choice. My dad stood there, cup of tea in hand, for quite a while, saying, 'Looking at these lights just brightens my mood.' My child was glued to the window, gazing into the distance, and asked if it was a lighthouse. The hotel is only three or four minutes from the bus station, which was great since my parents walk a bit slower – no worries about rushing for our bus. In the mornings, I'd take my child for a stroll in the small park downstairs, and then we'd come back just in time for breakfast. They had hot congee and mini steamed buns, which my parents loved, and my child enjoyed the special kids' area with small cakes and yogurt. When it was time to check out, the front desk staff saw we had a lot of luggage and proactively helped us carry it. Of all the places we've stayed on this trip, this hotel was truly a hit with the whole family."

"The environment is great! The scenery is also fantastic, you can see it in the pictures. Below is the Venice Water Town, and you can also catch the musical fountain at Donggang. Anyway, it's super convenient and close to everything, and the view is really expansive. It's very close to the sea; just cross a road and you can spot seagulls and such. The service is excellent and very thoughtful; they even pick you up. It looks amazing even on a cloudy day!! You can also watch the sunset directly from the hotel 🌇🌇🌇🌇🌇"

Every day, he greeted us warmly, proactively asked about our plans, and shared tips on fun things to do and great places to eat in Dalian. As first-time visitors, his recommendations were incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome.
Another young man, who worked the night shift, truly touched me. My family was staying in different room types, and my two nephews were waiting outside their grandfather's room. Their grandpa had fallen asleep, and they couldn't reach him or me. The front desk attendant noticed them and didn't ignore them; instead, he stayed with them, patiently looking after them until I arrived.
What impressed me even more was his professionalism and caution. When I got there, he thoroughly verified my identity and confirmed I was a guest for that room before helping us open the door. That level of security awareness and responsibility is truly commendable.
A great hotel isn't just about the facilities and environment; it's about encountering staff who genuinely care for their guests.

The location is superb, situated in the prime area of Shenhe District, with Zhongjie, the Imperial Palace, and Marshal Zhang's Mansion all within easy walking distance. There are plenty of great food options nearby, like Majia Shaomai and Zhongjie Ice Cream, old favorites that are perfect for a quick bite. Transportation is convenient, with a subway station close by, and it's a very quick taxi ride to the North Station. The rooms are clean and tidy, the service is excellent, and it offers incredible value for money!"

You can take a taxi or drive there. It's about a 40-minute taxi ride from the city center. If you drive, hotel guests get free parking, which you can arrange at the front desk.
Next, the environment.
The environment is lovely. The entire resort is well laid out, with lush greenery, and I even saw many white doves. From the main lobby, if you're heading to the Breeze Restaurant (where the breakfast buffet is served), there's a complimentary shuttle cart available (takes about 3-5 minutes). Of course, taking a stroll through the villa area is also a great option.
Now, about the service.
The service was excellent. The taxi drop-off point is at the main entrance of the hot spring area, and you'll need to walk (about 3 minutes) to the main lobby to check in. The check-in process was very fast; I checked in around 2 PM and could go straight to my room. Upon check-in, you're assigned a butler who will add you on WeChat and send useful information about the resort, such as Wi-Fi details, hot spring hours, and breakfast buffet times. The butler also helps escort you to your room and carries your luggage, and even gave me a voucher for a fish spa treatment at the hot springs (one voucher is good for two people, usually costing 30 per person).
Finally, some other points.
1. The hotel has two accommodation areas. One is on the 5th floor of the hot spring building. The advantage here is that it's very close to the hot springs, and you don't need to go outside. If your window faces the villa area, you get a panoramic view of the villas, with great greenery and views, and the price is more affordable. The other area is the villa section, which is closer to the breakfast buffet and offers rooms with private hot spring pools.
2. The breakfast buffet at Breeze Restaurant is from 7 AM to 10:30 AM (no food replenished after 10 AM). The breakfast selection is very rich, with a variety of Chinese, Cantonese, and Western options, and the taste is also good.
3. Guests staying at the hotel receive two hot spring tickets per room, for two separate visits. The first visit can be used on the day of check-in until 12 AM. The second visit is if you check out before 10 AM the next day, you can use the tickets until 6 PM. The tickets are linked to the ID cards used for check-in, so anyone planning to go to the hot springs needs to register their ID at check-in. A 500 deposit is required at check-in. Any consumption in the hot spring area can be charged to this deposit, or paid separately. The deposit refund upon checkout was very quick.
4. I booked a room on the 5th floor of the hot spring building. The room provides plastic slippers for the hot spring (anti-slip); there are no other disposable slippers. The wet and dry areas are separate, and disposable toilet seat covers and toiletries are provided. Although it's in the hot spring building, I didn't find it noisy at all.

**About the Butler Service:** Absolutely top-notch! Even before arrival, I received a call from my butler, who thoughtfully inquired about my arrival time and check-in preferences. From helping with luggage upon entry to the welcome fruit and detailed room orientation after checking in, every single detail was impeccable. When I tentatively asked for a late checkout, the butler immediately and generously extended it until 2 PM. This level of meticulous care truly made me feel pampered.
**About the Hotel Scenery:** Perched on a hillside, the hotel's exterior resembles Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, exuding a full European luxury vibe. The lobby boasts an 18-meter high domed ceiling, a crystal spiral staircase, and colorful domes – every snap looks like a movie scene. The most stunning feature is the 5th-floor sky garden, offering an unobstructed 270° panoramic view of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge – the vista is unbeatable. Staying in a high-floor sea view room, I could gaze at the Xinghai Bay Bridge right from my bed; both sunrise and sunset were absolutely breathtaking.
**About the Unexpected Deer Encounter:** This was a truly delightful surprise! The hotel is built on the hillside of Lianhua Mountain, where sika deer often roam among the trees. While strolling along the winding mountain path, we encountered several of them, and my child was overjoyed. This experience of meeting wild deer within a city castle was simply magical.
In conclusion, this stay was absolutely perfect. The service was thoughtful, the scenery was stunning, and we even got to encounter sika deer. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserMy overall stay at Shangri-La Hotel Dalian was excellent. I was very satisfied with the room I was assigned; it was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding was neatly arranged, making for a very comfortable stay and a great night's sleep. The hotel's location is also fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere by taxi, and Zhongshan Square is within walking distance for photos. Public transportation is very convenient as well. The hotel offers a well-equipped gym and swimming pool, along with a beautiful garden perfect for a stroll and pictures. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Delancy was particularly thoughtful, asking about my stay during check-out and giving me a small gift, which I loved. The check-out process was very quick, saving me a lot of time. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

AAnonymous UserCleanliness: terrible. Didnt notice the urine stain around the toilet bowl until second day. Informed the counter but can only clean the next day. Didnt dare to use the toilet for the entire 4 days. Beside the urine stained toilet, the staff didnt bother to put my pillows in place. Tea bags wasnt refilled until i feedback to the counter. Very slipshod cleaning work.
Counter service: Excellent. Helped me contact rider when my parcel went missing.
Bathroom: would prefer if theres hook inside the bathroom. Feels very cold coming out after shower to retrieve towes.
Room: No soundproof at all. Wont recommend if you are a light sleeper. Lighting is good and bright.

OOlga_CheUnfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

GGuest UserThe hardware facilities are decent, but it doesn't feel like a resort hotel at all. The staff quality varies wildly. I'm being conservative in my assessment because I did see some very dedicated employees, but there were a few individuals with extremely poor service attitudes, and unfortunately, they were in key positions. As shown in the picture, the 'deluxe sea view room' I was given had a view entirely dominated by rooftops. I had booked for three days, but I decisively checked out after one. I won't be returning.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right next to Sunasia Ocean World, and just a few minutes' walk from Xinghai Bathing Beach, Xinghai Square, and Xinghai Park – truly a prime spot. The hotel itself looks quite upscale, and Xiao Yao kept our room very clean and tidy. The afternoon tea is a buffet, which is much more substantial than the usual one-dessert-and-one-drink offering. The bathroom had instant hot water with excellent pressure. We were very happy with all of that. A couple of things could be improved: the power outlet on the desk was quite loose, and overall there weren't enough power outlets in the room. Also, while the elevator is unique, you do have to wait a bit longer when it's busy.

Plus, dining and shopping options are very convenient in the surrounding area. The facilities are good, and the service is warm and attentive. Breakfast was very rich and varied. I chose the best hotel in Dandong for my stay, and it was conveniently located not far from the BBQ restaurants, just a minimum taxi fare away. The hotel's service, cleanliness, and facilities were all excellent. The absolute best part was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the front desk arranged for a robot to bring them directly to my room – that was truly amazing!
