"We were looking for a hotel with an ocean view in Bayuquan Shanhai Square and this one immediately caught our eye. Our stay here far exceeded our expectations! The location is absolutely perfect; you can walk to the beach in just two or three minutes. It's so convenient to head downstairs and enjoy clam digging, and the hotel even provides complimentary buckets and shovels for guests. Our ocean-view room was incredibly spacious and bright, with a private balcony offering expansive views. We could literally watch the entire sunset over the ocean from our bed. The room was meticulously clean, and we appreciated the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, the comfortable mattress, and the full set of branded toiletries. The breakfast buffet each morning was abundant and fresh, with a great variety of both Western and Chinese dishes. Zoe provided excellent service. Parking and dining were also very convenient. This hotel offers incredible value for money and is definitely our top choice for a seaside getaway in Bayuquan. We'll be staying here again for our next beach trip and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing ocean-view vacation!"

"This was my first time staying at this hotel, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The environment was great, and the cleaning lady did an amazing job keeping everything spotless and tidy 🍬. Plus, it's right next to the high-speed rail station and subway entrance 🔥, which saved a lot of travel time. They also offer a complimentary gym, dryer, and washing machine."

"A good hotel is key to a successful trip! This hotel is very close to Xinghai Square, and across the bridge is an amusement park. The paths are flat, perfect for strollers or 'baby walkers' (though the area right outside the hotel entrance has cobblestones, which can be a bit bumpy for strollers). The room environment is excellent. We are a family of five – four adults and one child – and stayed in the 'Star Blue' room, which was perfectly spacious. It had a 1.8m bed downstairs plus a tatami mat upstairs, and even a single sofa that could be used for sleeping. The space felt generous. There's also a private little courtyard where you can hang kids' clothes to dry (as long as it's not raining). The hotel has a laundry room with a dryer, so no more bringing dirty clothes home!"

"I specifically chose this hotel for an early high-speed train, and the location is absolutely divine! It's right across the street from the North Station's south exit, so no need to rush in the morning. Even arriving in the early hours, check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were very kind. The blackout curtains in the room were excellent, allowing for a truly peaceful night's sleep, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard, so no backache. Breakfast starts early, which means you can still grab a hot meal before catching your train. Free underground parking is available, and they even support offline car rentals with Shenzhou, making travel arrangements super convenient. The water pressure in the bathroom was strong, and the toiletries were high quality. For a short stay, the comfort level was outstanding. This is my top choice for short business trips."

Anonymous UserI went there expecting a top-notch bathing experience, but I was sorely disappointed.
First, let's talk about the room. I booked the last available tatami room. It was spacious enough, with an indoor hot tub, but no window. The ventilation system made a lot of noise when turned on, and even with the air conditioning set to the lowest, it still felt stuffy. The room included two hot spring tickets, valid until 6 PM the next day if you checked out before 10 AM.
Breakfast was at the Breeze Restaurant in the villa area, priced at 119 yuan per person, and the quality was very poor. It opened at 7 AM, and when I arrived shortly after, they were still slowly putting out food. There weren't many options, but the most memorable was the bacon – just a few burnt-looking pieces on the plate, I couldn't tell if they were leftovers or just overcooked. If breakfast is included in the room rate, you might as well grab a quick bite, but otherwise, it's definitely not worth the price.
The hot springs were very basic – no food, no drinks, and no fruit (I'd seen reviews mentioning occasional fruit, but I didn't see any). A bottle of plain water cost 8 yuan. I went on the afternoon of check-in, around 5 PM, and it was quite crowded. The next morning, it was even more so.
In short, I won't be going back.

Guest UserMy stay at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dalian, was absolutely perfect! The hotel is located right on Xinghai Bay, and its castle-like architecture is grand and magnificent. The room was spacious and bright, with unbeatable sea views – I could see the blue sea and sky right from my window every morning. The service was impeccable, from the concierge to the room staff, truly reflecting Marriott's high-end brand standards. It's also conveniently located next to Xinghai Square, making getting around very easy. During check-out, Dansey asked about my stay and resolved any issues very well. I highly recommend it to travelers seeking quality!

Guest UserA couple with their four-year-old stayed for three days. It was an amazing experience!!! Highly recommended!! We originally booked a one-bedroom apartment, but the hotel upgraded us to a two-bedroom, two-story apartment with two living rooms, which was incredibly spacious and well-equipped: it had three bathrooms, a bathtub, a kitchen, a refrigerator, a dining area, a living room, and a study. Our child absolutely loved it, running up and down the stairs. The hotel's playground, sauna, and swimming pool were also enjoyed by our child. He even cried when it was time to leave! We will definitely stay here again next time!!! Thumbs up 👍

Guest UserThe Japanese-style decor shows great attention to detail. The hotel environment is clean and hygienic, and the room itself is tidy and well-kept. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is perfect for couples or families. The pillows and mattress are incredibly comfortable – I slept straight through until 7 AM! The breakfast is also quite unique; it's served individually and is very refined. Plus, there's free coffee available. The staff are very welcoming, and the 'little housekeeper' (concierge/manager) was incredibly helpful and answered all our questions thoroughly. I'm very satisfied!

We ate at the restaurant that evening; the prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the food was tasty. The complimentary hot spring bath had excellent water quality. Our itinerary was to climb Qianshan Mountain on the first day, stay here that night, and then soak in the hot spring on the second day – perfect!

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

This stay exceeded our expectations! The hotel was clean and fresh throughout, with no strange smells in the room. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick, and the staff were friendly and responsive to our needs. It was very family-friendly for staying with kids; the room had ample space for activities, and safety details were well thought out. The staff were very kind to our little one and even offered children's amenities proactively. The hotel is conveniently located near various facilities, making it easy to entertain the kids. Our whole family had a wonderful stay.

Guest UserThe room was quite spacious, and the surroundings were relatively quiet. The sea view room offered a beautiful vista, with trees, green spaces, yachts, buildings, and a cross-sea bridge, making it a more dynamic and interesting sea view than just the horizon. Compared to the Grand Hyatt, it offers better value for money. However, some details don't quite meet five-star standards, such as the lack of a swimming pool. On the plus side, the service attitude was excellent, and Keke from the front desk was particularly understanding and accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. If I'm ever staying near Xinghai Square again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. The sea view here is much more varied and less monotonous than a simple sea-and-sky horizon. Xinghai Park is very close by; it was fantastic to spend the morning playing on the beach there, then come back to the room for a shower, make some tea, and just relax while admiring the sea view.

The overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

I chose this hotel for its room type and brand. The hotel facilities are quite complete but a bit old. Especially the lobby sofas, there are few of them and they look quite dirty. The location is good, with a Wanda Plaza nearby, which is convenient for dining and shopping.
The front desk service felt well-intentioned, but not genuinely attentive. Communication was smooth and thoughtful initially, but then there was no follow-up. Things we discussed would go unaddressed for an hour or two, and we'd have to go back to the front desk to remind them before they were resolved. Room service was pretty good; requests were met promptly and efficiently.
The room's furniture and decor have a vintage feel, similar to other Wanda hotels, and it doesn't feel clean or bright. The lighting is too dim; even with all the lights on, the room was still dark. Breakfast had a good variety, and some dishes tasted great, especially the wonton soup.
