Our small family decided to have a staycation in few hotel/resort and by far Sutera has won our heart. This place is amazing and i suggest anybody who wants to experience this place to stay more than 1Night. The room is still in its Vintage style , tv only has those old channel , there's one bathtub in the room which we loved specially my son,for the breakfast i do believe they can add more choices as they are more korean dishes focused, it'll be nice to have local kuih (hinompuka/pais pisang) other than kuih pisang only.. But other than that, you actually get free 1hour of bike rental on ur stay which we only know when we ask around, it was located right in front of the kids pool , other than that they do have a small train going around from Magellan to Pacific sutera and its FOC!!! I loved the staff energy the entire time, he asked our son to be in his seat as a driver and even let my son press few button and act like he's driving the train!! god bless your fun soul sir!! keep up the good work!! we will definitely be back again soon๐ฅฐโฃ๏ธ
Love the double layer bed, very stable๐๐ป The hotel is connected with 1 borneo hypermall, very convenient. There are โOrangeโ convenience store beside there. The only problem is the parking place, limited and no for free even you stay in the hotel (RM1/PER HOUR), if go to the car park is RM3 per hour.

Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu is probably the best place to stay in the entire city, not just for the rooms, but for everything else as well. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the service attitude from every single staff member is outstanding, from check-in to housekeeping to restaurant and bar teams.
The pool and views on the 23rd floor are amazing, and the gym, while slightly small, has a really nice mountain view. Breakfast offers a great variety, and ร la carte options are included at no extra cost, which is a big plus. The bar is excellent, especially during happy hour with buy-one-get-one-free deals on selected drinks. Honestly, the hotel was so comfortable that we barely wanted to leave, even just for a walk outside.
Special thanks to Natalie at check-in, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. She even upgraded us from a city-view room to a mountain-view room, which made the stay even more special. At the bar, Alvin was tirelessly explaining the menu and drinks to us, and Yus always greeted us with a warm smile and provided great service, they truly made the experience memorable.
If I ever come back to Kota Kinabalu, this would 100% be my place to stay again.

The hotel staff were all polite and enthusiastic. I didn't encounter any issues with discrimination against Chinese guests, no hot water at night, and no deposit was required. You can tell the hotel is a bit old, but it's well-maintained, especially the large private beach where you can snorkel, swim, or leisurely watch the sunset without having to deal with crowds elsewhere. That's a huge plus! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
On the second night, I saw a dying cockroach in the bathroom (its antennae wiggled for a long time). Considering it's a tropical region, it's understandable, and the fact that it was dying suggests the hotel uses pest control. However, housekeeping randomly took guests' personal belongings when cleaning the room. Two plastic bags with items in them were on the TV cabinet, and they were gone when I returned at night. This is the first time I've encountered such a situation in my 10+ years of travel. Although the items weren't valuable, their absence was very inconvenient. Housekeeping shouldn't subjectively assume guests' items are trash and take them away. That was a bit frustrating. Additionally, service efficiency was very low. One evening, I went to the front desk to ask staff to send some bottled water to the room. The front desk staff were very friendly and enthusiastically agreed, but I waited over two hours and nothing arrived. The in-room service phone was either busy or completely silent (maybe just a prop?), so I had no choice but to go down to the lobby again to get water. We checked in around 12 PM, but were told we couldn't get into the room until 3 PM (they informed us politely). The next day, I turned on the 'make up room' light before going out for lunch, but when we returned to the room around 2 PM, it still hadn't been cleaned. In short, everything was slow; it felt like the hotel was understaffed and overwhelmed.

For a twin room without windows, there are actually two doors:
โข First, the main door to the unit (which has three rooms inside)
โข Then the second door is the door to your actual room (Room 1/2/3)
So far, the room was super comfy, clean, and complete with the amenities. ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Thank you, Promenade Service Apartment โ definitely will repeat my stay here next time! โบ๏ธ๐
P/S: Sorry, I didnโt take any pictures during my stay (it was just an update for my mom ๐๐ป)

Needs to correct the shower tub area, shower curtain will prevent water from spilling to other areas of the toilet. Breakfast variety needs improvement. Aircon and water pressure were strong. Cozy unit. Good gym. Pool water needs to be heated for night swimming.
I had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Sutera @ Mantanani Island. From the moment I arrived, I was completely mesmerized by the islandโs beauty the crystal clear turquoise waters, soft pearly sand, and breathtaking views felt like something out of a dream. Every moment spent there was pure bliss.
What truly made the experience even more special was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Their genuine smiles and welcoming hospitality made me feel right at home and added so much heart to the trip. Whether relaxing by the beach or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, everything about Mantanani felt magical.
Overall, it was a perfect escape, and I truly enjoyed every second of my stay. Sutera @ Mantanani Island is a hidden gem, and without a doubt, I will be returning again in the future.

Environment: I'm really pleased with the overall environment of the resort; the atmosphere is great. The front desk and dining area are combined and transform into a cozy little pub in the evening, where you can sing and enjoy a drink. I really savored the slow pace of life here. The guest rooms are on a separate side, and the garden landscape in the residential area was surprisingly beautiful, with tropical plants and lighting creating a magical interplay. Each room felt enveloped by nature. The rooms have everything you need โ of course, you can't compare it to a five-star hotel ๐, but I thought it was good, especially the bathroom, which was very large and spacious, perfect for people like us who travel with a lot of stuff. The soundproofing in the room was decent; I couldn't hear the singing from the restaurant area at all, which is a big plus.
Facilities: The hotel provides a full range of disposable amenities, and all the necessary facilities are present. There's a washing machine, laundry detergent, and a dryer available (for communal use, but they were clean), which is very convenient for divers. I heard the tap water undergoes special treatment, and the shower pressure was excellent with hot water readily available.
Service: I added the front desk's WeChat account; there's a lovely lady who speaks Chinese, and she's very responsive. She helps solve any problems promptly. I was traveling alone (the door lock had an issue on the first night, and a technician came to fix it shortly after I reported it; I was moved to a different room the next day). I also noticed patrols at night, so safety is excellent. The problem-solving speed was very efficient, and the two managers were very warm and friendly โ we've become good friends, haha.
Hygienics: Pretty good. I felt it was clean. The breakfast was also rich and tasted quite good.
Free Shuttle Service between Hotel and Jetty (reservation required): There's a shuttle bus to town every morning and back in the evening, running frequently, about every half hour. Every evening, they'd ask via WeChat if I needed transportation for the next day, which made things very efficient. If I needed a pick-up or drop-off at short notice, I could also contact them via WeChat, so I never had to worry about transportation.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this trip. The resort was a huge part of my happiness, and I met some Malaysian friends. Sitting and chatting together in the evenings was truly comfortable. The owner often treated me to drinks too ๐. It's much better than staying in town (the town is small, and many hotels are more like guesthouses). This place made a lasting impression on me; I'd definitely want to come back and recommend it wholeheartedly to my friends.

An absolutely fantastic experience, you simply *must* book a sea-view room! Not only do you get an unbeatable ocean vista, but stunning views are everywhere you look. ๐
I forgot my slippers ๐ฉด, so the thoughtful provision of slippers ๐ฉด was excellent and much appreciated.
The most heartwarming touch: after check-out, they offer a temporary lounge where you can shower, take a bath ๐, and even use a sauna, complete with hair dryers.
