Ocean View Hotels in Yunnan, China

Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways.

This review comes purely from my personal experience, and this place offers 100% amazing value for money! It completely redefined my perception of a guesthouse stay. I've always loved ******* culture, so when I came to the ******* area, I chose Sangzhu Boutique House. From the moment I walked in, the experience was fantastic. First, the butler warmly greeted me and presented me with a Hada (a traditional ceremonial scarf). Stepping further in, there were various lounge areas on both sides, and even a Thangka painting experience zone. Going one more level in, you'd find the front desk, with a beautifully decorated Tibetan-style reception area. After checking in, I proceeded to the accommodation area. I went up to the second floor, to a suite that had been upgraded. The traditional door lock opened to reveal ******* paintings and two exquisite ******* copper ornaments – truly stunning. Inside was the living room, where a welcome afternoon tea was laid out. The butter tea was delicious, and the yogurt, cookies, and other treats were all excellent. The bedroom was further inside. The side door to the bedroom led to a meticulously designed bathroom, with a copper bathtub and sink that felt incredibly authentic. The curtains and ceiling throughout the suite showcased a carefully crafted ******* style. The restaurant was also beautifully set up, with fresh flowers on the dining tables. The staff even taught us how to make Tsampa (a traditional ******* staple), which was a great experience. The butler service was impeccable. Every experience, from the hardware facilities to the decorations and arrangements, made me feel that a lot of thought and care had been put in, with a customer-centric philosophy. Absolutely exceptional value for money! Finally, due to altitude sickness, I had to leave earlier than planned. The staff immediately helped me with the check-out process and assisted with my luggage, which I greatly appreciated. Everything about this place left me extremely satisfied. For anyone who loves ******* culture and wants to experience it, I highly recommend coming here!

A wonderful stay! The room was absolutely gorgeous and well-designed. I was deeply impressed by the staff, who went above and beyond to help us. Best of all, it’s located very close to the high-speed train station, making our transit seamless and convenient. Would definitely come back!

This guesthouse is located just outside the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The owner was exceptionally warm and helpful, thoroughly explaining nearby attractions and thoughtfully recommending must-visit spots while also highlighting places to avoid, which saved us a ton of planning hassle. The two dogs at the guesthouse are also incredibly charming – one is a chilled-out, lazy sweetheart named Huanxi, and the other, Shi-yi, is full of energy and loves toys, both providing endless comfort. The daily breakfast noodles were surprisingly delicious, and they even provided complimentary sodas like Coke and 7-Up. Dali's scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, and this stay was absolutely perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

By Erhai Lake, I live my day like a slow poem... No need to chase the scenery, I wake up right in it 🌿 In the morning, light peeks through the curtains, softly landing on my pillow. I sit by the window with a cup of coffee, watching Erhai Lake slowly awaken. The breeze is gentle, the water shimmers serenely, as if breathing for me~~ Breakfast 🍳 is a double delight for both sight and taste— Exquisite dishes transform in the play of light and shadow. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, clouds drift slowly, and people sit at leisure. 🏡 Some memorable glimpses: · Ground floor seaside garden: Green lawn, Cangshan mountains, and Erhai Lake, pristine like a newborn dream. · Swing lobby: 180-degree sea view. No need to compete with the scenery, it's already the perfect composition.

On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise! The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful! Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

While Dali boasts a mature scene for B&Bs and boutique hotels, I opted for a chain hotel this time. Pullman is considered one of Dali's flagship hotels (I initially wanted to try the newly opened Dali EDITION, but it wasn't open yet). Overall, the attention to detail was excellent. The hotel is located downtown, right by the濱海大道 (Binhai Avenue), with plenty of dining options nearby. For around 1000 RMB, it includes a mini-bar (though with limited selections) and turndown service. The showerhead faces the wall, which was a nice touch. It also offers free parking and direct elevator access to the lobby – these small details really stood out. Of course, there were a few minor downsides: the bathroom scale needed new batteries, and while breakfast was varied and tasty, there was no host to seat guests. Overall, though, it was very well done. A special mention goes to our butler, Coco, who was incredibly gentle and attentive, and promptly resolved any issues we had. This was a truly memorable trip… I haven't left a review in a long time, but I wanted to share my experience right away.

This stay completely refreshed my understanding of the sea view hotel. The high-rise panoramic view is not blocked by any buildings, and the sunrise, sunset, and night view are amazing. The smart equipment in the whole house is convenient to use, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the quality of toiletries is online, and the hot water is stable and sufficient. The public areas are finely cleaned every day, and there are many photo check-in points, and they are all ins wind blockbusters. The front desk, cleaning and security staff have a gentle attitude, and respond quickly to any needs, and take the initiative to give local play guides. The price is very high compared with the same view room type, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, immersive enjoyment of the relaxation time by the sea, and the next holiday will be priority to lock this one!

I booked this guesthouse randomly for my trip, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely unbeatable – just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area entrance. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. The room was meticulously cleaned; the floors, windowsills, and even the bathroom grout were spotless. The bedding was fluffy and pristine, with no dust or odd smells. All the appliances and furniture inside looked quite new. The air conditioning and toiletries were well-stocked, and it had all the amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. The host was very kind, provided detailed check-in instructions, and patiently guided me when I couldn't find the place. Any requests I had during my stay were promptly addressed. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and it offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

Choosing Yan Yun Hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Dali. My only regret is that I only booked one night and had to leave so soon. The environment here is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea set. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They also provide electric shuttle service for getting in and out. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Dali!
