The hotel is only 6km from Dali Railway Station and 12km from Dali Fengyi Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos.
The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation.
In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect!
The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms."

"The ******* atmosphere here is incredible! The wood and stone architecture, along with the detailed carvings, are really impressive. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the high-altitude amenities were a thoughtful touch. Our butler was warm and welcoming, and enjoying butter tea in the courtyard with a view was lovely. However, the chieftain's feast they recommended was pretty mediocre, though the performance was quite good! 👍 The breakfast could definitely be more hygienic; my friend got an upset stomach after eating it."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"Stayed for 3 night and I have to say this is one of the best homestay I stayed in China. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and nice! Got a free upgrade as well. Homestay is walking distance ti the south gate of Dali Ancient city.Breakfast, tea time and even welcome fruits platter. The mi xian(noodle) is seriously good and light. The two cuties Shiyi & Huanxi is just so cute. I would definitely come back here again whenever I dropped by Dali."

"This beachfront guesthouse is a hidden gem, you won't regret staying here! The location is fantastic, right on the waterfront with stunning sea views. You don't have to go far to reach Erhai Lake, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, making dining and drinks super convenient. The butler service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, providing genuine care throughout your stay. The cleanliness is exceptional; the entire house is spotless, the bedding is clean and soft, and the bathtub and vanity are meticulously cleaned and disinfected repeatedly. All the facilities are new and well-equipped. You can enjoy an immersive sea view from the scenic bathtub, and the public library corner offers a quiet and atmospheric space. Facilities: The hairdryer's airflow is really weak, not even as strong as the wind off Erhai Lake! The bedside lamp isn't working, but everything else is okay.
Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and no strange smells – pretty good.
Environment: The space is large and bright. My only complaint is the view from the window isn't great.
Service: The service is excellent; anything we needed was delivered to the room very quickly, and the breakfast tasted good.
Honestly, the view from the guest room window is quite disappointing."

Facilities: The room design has a Greek flair, making it feel very cozy. The in-room lighting and other amenities are smart-controlled.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was quite good.
Environment: The hotel is located in Xiaowan Village, offering beautiful scenery and a quiet location. You can enjoy views of Fuxian Lake from the room.
Service: We arrived by car around 9:30 PM. Unable to find parking, we contacted the hotel, and a staff member warmly greeted us at the entrance. However, due to the New Year's Eve crowds, there wasn't enough parking, so we had to park elsewhere. The hotel promised to cover the parking fee. After checking out, I showed them the parking payment screenshot, and they asked for my QR code for payment. However, from check-out at 10:30 AM until I got home at 9:00 PM, I still hadn't received the reimbursed parking fee.
Complimentary fruit, tea, Americano coffee: Since we arrived late, I didn't have coffee at night and asked the hotel if I could have it the next morning. They agreed, stating coffee was available from 8 AM to 11 PM. However, when I messaged them at 8:30 AM the next day asking for two coffees, they said they would deliver them at 10 AM. They were never delivered, even by 10:30 AM check-out. The other fruits and tea were also not provided.
Overall, the hotel's environment, cleanliness, and breakfast were good, but the service attitude was quite casual. They failed to deliver on their promise to cover the parking fee (20 RMB) and provide the complimentary coffee.

Very satisfied with a trip, stayed at the favorite hotel, took beautiful photos. Just arrived at the entrance of the hotel, the front desk lady enthusiastically came to help with the luggage and sent it to the room. The environment was also very good. When I saw the garden, I knew that this trip would be over the screen circle of friends. I took a good photo and saw the sunset on the roof terrace in the middle of the night. In the evening, Miss Sister also sent us fruit and milk, recommended local characteristics, and the taste was good. The breakfast on the second day was very rich and the taste was super good, especially the rice noodles. I like it very much. I will come to their house next time.

The room is very large, close to Hilton, belonging to the property management of Sun Mountain Resort, very safe. You can see a very beautiful lake view from the balcony. It has been raining these days. The surrounding forest hillsides are surrounded by clouds and mist. It is very beautiful! It is very convenient to play around.
