The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design and Museum, Providence City Center, train station and more. We booked a view room that is really a veritable ”room with a view”. Every day, we can watch the morning light, the sunset, the birds fly, and the cargo ship enters and exits the port... The hotel faces India Point Park and you can take a fitness walk. The items provided in the room are very useful, the American breakfast is solid, there are restaurants and bars in the hotel, but we may not be open because there are not many guests during our stay, the restaurant is open or not.

This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. We were disappointed in our stay. When we booked, we specifically selected ”water view” and the room was advertised as having 2 ”queen” beds. Although perhaps both were technically true, we certainly felt ripped off. The view we had was actually into the atrium where you could technically see the water through a window all the way across the atrium - a couple hundred feet away. The beds may have been bigger than full but were at least 6” less than a typical 60” wide queen. Since we paid extra for the view we didn't feel it was worth the price. The room out of that context was nice, but it had no complementary bottled water or coffee and at checkout we were told that was due to Covid somehow which made no sense to us. The walls were also pretty thin and it felt like someone was flushing the toiled right next to me while I was in bed. Overall it was clean and the staff was friendly but it was not what we expected for $700/night.
