Booking online with Trip was simple. The Dorsett have clean rooms and staff are lovely, plus it's attached to the Gold Coast Casino. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is equipped for people with disabilities or use a wheelchair. This includes self opening and closing doors, shower and toilet set up with aids that can be pulled out to accommodate needs and there are wheelchair touch buttons for opening the door.
I showered before going out and it flooded the bathroom, luckily there were 2 infloor drains. Within 2 mins or asking for maintenance they had a lovely young man up to fix it, then another minute later housekeeping arrived with fresh towels. The maintenance man also gave me a good rundown and recommendations on the restaurant's at the Casino.
2 negatives -
1st, it is hard to work out where to park as you use the Casino parking, the carpark directs you where to go but there is no clear signage on where the hotel lifts are. I only knew this from a past visit over 2yrs ago. This is something that needs sorting out.
2nd, the entrance address for the hotel foyer is actually on the Casino entry side, so you drive around looking for it. I now know that instead of turning off onto The Darling Ave, as gps instructed, you take the slip road before The Darling Ave exit. This takes you past the residential tower and to the front of the hotel
It is the best hotel in Airlie Beach. The scenery is unbeatable, the facilities are good, the hotel story and the founder's development vision and the final implementation effect are all great!
The room is very clean, and the kitchenette has a microwave, which is very convenient. The only thing I can't accept is that the owner is Italian đ The quilt is a sheet sandwich towel blanket with a few small bumps, but it's still good overall
Before coming here, I looked at many beachfront five-star hotels and initially planned to book an apartment hotel. However, numerous negative reviews about their cleanliness deterred me, as hygiene is my top priority. I stumbled upon this hotel, which, despite being four-star, had virtually no negative reviews. Its location is excellent, within walking distance to the beach and Q1, and surrounded by many supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. The overall style of the twin-bed suite was a first for me and perfectly suited my aesthetic. With two large beds facing each other, it was ideal for my friends' family and their 14-year-old son. Our group of 7 booked three twin-bed suites. The bedding and cleaning were exceptionally clean. There's a small kitchen, microwave, complimentary milk and snacks, a round table for four perfect for dining or playing cards, and a desk for work â fully equipped. The hotel has the vibe of a boutique hotel, making the most of its space, complete with its own swimming pool, poolside bar, and a bar.
If I had to mention a drawback, it would be the lack of hot food at breakfast. The staff recommend walking 2 minutes to a local restaurant across the street for breakfast, which is of high quality.
Itâs nice and quiet, and pretty comfy, but thereâs still a bunch of hair on the floor, and it doesnât look super clean. The staff seemed a bit confused with the info, but itâs all good. Just donât expect five-star service, thatâs all.

The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful, even though I couldn't speak English well. The convenience store in front of the hotel was open until late at night, which was nice. I didn't see any other convenience stores open at night. However, they don't sell alcohol, so I recommend buying some at a liquor store during the day.
I was mostly happy with the resort. There were some things missing like more food options (only two restaurants) and small luxuries like a sauna for example. Itâs also hard to rate the staff as you had some incredibly helpful staff and then some real depressing ones that were just rude. The only other thing that was a bit of a shock was that the beaches were just full of dead coral and no sand. I hadnât been to one of the islands in the Whitsundays so I was surprised to see that. The photos of the resort did not show this so it would have been nice to know so it didnât lead to disappointment. Some positives though is that the resort was beautifully designed and they offered a lot of free water activities like kayaking for example. The buffet breakfast was also really nice.
Large complex with swimming pool access and outlook as our room was on the ground floor. Great to have a walk-in shower and air con worked well. Only gripe was the inadequate sheet that doubled as the blanket - completely lacking in warmth and cover. No extra blanket was provided in the cupboard, only pillows. If there wasn't enough parking available at night, you could park off-street next to the complex.

Overal is ok, had a small issue with the toilet and the fixed it same day. Close to the city and stations. Didnt use the pool or anuthyg like that but saw them. will consider it to come back. the recepcionists (Natalia helped us with the toilet issue) and more of them were friendly and helpful.
Thank you!
We had a brilliant stay at The Emporium. The position was perfect for going to the theatre. The staff were professional and quite friendly. The room was beautiful and we loved the hidden tv screen. The menu was fantastic and the facilities were incredible.
The hotel room is clean and housekeeping services are good. The only issue is that the car park is not free. Take note if you do plan to go to the casino to play, always take a ticket when you enter the car park and when any of your travel mates have earned 5 tier points in the casino with the star club card, go claim the free car park and you can save on paying for it.
You can rent a car and go places like Yatala Pies and eat great pies.

CChih minWe stayed in the hotel for three daysďź7/7-7/10ďź. On the first day, no one came to clean the room. We thought we needed to notify the service counter to arrange cleaning. On the second day, we used the âcleaning notificationâ button on the phone in the morning, but no one came to clean the next day. On the third day, we reported it to the service counter in the morning, and they said they would arrange for a cleaning staff. As a result, when we returned to the room on the third night, we found that it was still not cleaned (this was the first time we were deceived). So we called the service counter again, hoping that at least they could change the bath towels for us to use. The service counter staff replied that they would ask someone to bring us clean bath towels, but they did not keep their promise in the end. We were deceived again.

GGuest UserThe location is wonderful .. short walk to surfers paradise and skypoint is just right next door. Easy to get from airport as the tram stop is just right next to skypoint. Many cafe and restaurant choices. Did not use the pool or gym. Noise can be heard from room as the walls are thin. Easy check in .. staff did not advise much on the resort facilities and we figure out the wifi password base on the sticker on the kitchen wall. Our rooms balcony look out into the pool which is nice.
PPrasadThis hotel is spectacular!!! Not enough words can express how beautiful it is. Every staff member made you individually feel welcomed and genuinely looked after. Each person always had a smile and genuinely wanted to help. For example Gina and Alex in the breakfast restaurant Critique were extremely helpful and at your service. Rahul at reception was helpful and explained all the hotel facilities. The maintenance manager was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The lagoon area made you feel as if you were in Bali, Phuket etc. To say it is spectacular is an understatement. For my entire stay, each staff member made my birthday extremely special, memorable and second to none ever experienced before. Thank you all the staff at JW.
DDongfangyaoyangThe hotel boasts a perfect location with comprehensive facilities. From our room's balcony, we enjoyed views of the Ferris wheel and the swimming lagoon, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Evenings were magical, dining with a gentle sea breeze and live music, truly making us feel like we were on a perfect vacation. It's also incredibly close to the Reef Fleet Terminal, just a ten-minute walk away. We'd like to express our sincere gratitude for the thoughtful surprise we received upon check-in; the staff truly went above and beyond, making our Cairns holiday absolutely wonderful. Thank you! I highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserIt's our second time stay at the Langham GC hotel, still the same, the room was very tidy and clean, all the stuff who we met were very friendly and helplful.Enjoyed the fresh fruits and nice breakfast, lots of choices to eat, with great coffee and we love the swimming pool, great position to walk on the beach.
It's not far away to get tram to travel around,so no complains.
MMelzza23Unfortunately we did not have a great stay. We booked 3 apartments for a family vacation and all 3 had issues. All 3 apartments had faulty air cons. 1 air con didnât work at all and also a toilet in that apartment didnât work either. Also when we arrived, we found one of our carparks had a car parked in it and that 2 other guests were allocated the same Carpark as us. We all contacted the letting company and all guests were told to seek help from the apartment reception who then told us all to contact the letting company as they donât deal with the private apartments and their carparks. So it was back and forth for hours, we even visited the office twice until the car was finally removed. In terms of the no aircon/ broken toilet room, we were told there was nothing the letting company could do about it as they only have 1 staff member on so weâd have to wait for the next day and that some of our cost would be refunded (We are still waiting). The next day, in the morning the staff member visited and said the aircon is broken and theyâll have to find another room so will get back to us. It was close to the letting companyâs closing time and we hadnât heard back so we followed up only to be told thereâs no more rooms available and our family would have to make do with the fans. Our family members in the no aircon room got sick from the heat/ stuffiness even with the doors and windows open. The amenities - lagoon, gym and pool are awesome So it was really unfortunate we did not enjoy our stay due to the lack of upkeep of the apartments and the service.

YYEThe breakfast is good. The swimming pool is suitable for children. The location of the hotel is more convenient to find by car. We checked in after dark. The parking lot is free. Many parking spaces are right in front of the check-in point. Very convenient
GGuest UserBeds were great.
A lift would be a good option for those who struggle with the multiple stairs (a large one to get out of the carpark and then more flights of stairs to get access to the rooms.
The spa was also great
Location close to Carrara Markets was also great
