I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA.
Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM).
The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.”
They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.
A lover conservation resort in the natures park.
We stayed in the chalets.
The rooms were clean there is food in both the pub and restaurant
A heated pool and a perfect beach where you can swim in the sun and watch dolphins in the distance
The dolphin experience is nice but its more a close observation then interaction so its certainly more for Adults then Kids.
Loved it so much i ended up staying a two extra days
The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. In addition to taking good care of the guests, he even recommends attractions with a map! Let us live very comfortable
The environment and facilities are excellent. We even received complimentary handmade chocolates upon check-in. As for the price, I managed to snag a 3-night consecutive stay package during a Ctrip promotion, which worked out to saving ¥1,000 per day! There's a large free parking lot, and it's about a 6-minute walk back to the hotel.
A little hideaway in the Perth suburbs. It was a lovely stay with very friendly staff.
The only let down was the bathroom, it wasn't an enjoyable shower first thing in the morning being scalded and then then chilled continuously. The mirror is so old that it's been cleaned so much that the reflective surface is getting rubbed off.
The decoration is warm, very comfortable and very comfortable. Especially the surrounding scenery is amazing and pleasant, it is very suitable for walking around. Not far from the town, about 10 minutes drive. In short, very recommended!
We had a wonderful experience at Mercure Bunbury Sanctuary Golf Resort. The place was clean and the customer service was great. The only thing that we were not satisfied was the low water pressure for shower at the bathroom. It took us some time to get a good shower.
Happy and great customer service! Rooms are always super glean, comfy bed. Older style hotel been renovated. Always happy with stay, close to beach. Pub and bar right next to hotel. Sometimes loud depends on what night music is playing. Yum toasties 🫶🏽
We were assigned to cottage 9 during our recent stay. The car porch rather on the down slope is difficult for me, a Singaporean to park there upon check-in. Observed there were other cottages available.
Very Good

GGuest UserThe twin beds can be combined, which is great for a family of three with a child. Half of the automatic curtains in the room weren't working, and the curtains didn't block out enough light. The water pressure in the bathroom was stable, the bedding was good, and the air conditioning cooled sufficiently. The front desk offered Chinese-speaking service during the day, and they were very patient.

EEd_CaitCons:
parking a bit limited, unsecure.
Elevator is functional but a bit scary for my partner.
A microwave or similar would have been nice? Or even just cutlery?
In places, property is showing age but within reason.
Noise through floors/walls from other guests, even closing doors a floor above is very audible let alone TV/etc
Shower head needed descaling and was a bit erratic
Pros:
On beachfront, although our view was a bit obstructed.
Dining next door has always been excellent, great food.
Room was large, functional, and quite clean and pleasant.
Bed was comfortable, pillows pleasant and linen clean.
Check in and out was easy and simple.
Overall, I'd stay here again and plan to book a room again in December. Our 2 nights here were great, and watching the water from our table having dinner in the rain was fantastic. If you're expecting a 5-star resort, you'll be dissapointed. If you want a clean, large, comfortable room, in a good location and easy access to good food (recommend the fish and chip shop 5 mins away), and just a pleasant beach front stay? Book here.
AAnonymous UserExcellent location. Nearer to Red CAT Bus stop (King's Street) around 94m from hotel. The hotel also walking distance to Perth Underground Station (290m) and Perth Station (650m). I arrive early around 8am and got early check in when register to Accor membership. I instantly can get into the room after check in process including paying deposit (bond). I stay for 3 night and if we pay using credit or debit card, we can just paid AUD 300, but i and my friend choose to pay in cash, so we paid AUD 500 and its return when we check out before 11am. Nearer to the hotel also got city kebab.
The Cons : The hotel did not provide toothbrush since they practice reduction of plastics. Night club also located in front of the hotel. If your room face the main road, you will hear noise from the night club in weekend, but not too noisy until you can't sleep. I and my friend sleep comfortably.
GGuest UserI very much appreciate Andrea, the hotel manager’s help to upgrade my room so that I could enjoy my 5-day stay in Coma. Andrea’s sincere and considerate attitude towards guests is very impressive. Thanks again. The location of the hotel is almost perfect, the upgraded room is very spacious: simple but cozy. However, the carpets of the corridors, the sofa of the lobby, the facilities of the hotel and the training of the staff have much room for improvement.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious. The decor doesn't quite feel like a Ritz, but it definitely has an Edition vibe, which I actually quite like with its natural wood style. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and even a delicious ice cream shop right outside. The Chinese staff are all very enthusiastic, especially a young Chinese waitress at the bar who was very pleasant and knowledgeable about wine.
The only minor letdown was the hotel's '***** new year' decoration, which clearly wasn't for Chinese New Year. I've been to many small towns on this trip, and even a small restaurant in Kalbarri had 'CNY' written up! It made me wonder if Korean management has taken over the hotel.

GGuest UserThe check-in process was very simple, and the information provided to us covered everything that we needed to know.
There was adequate room for us to park our SUV, and the surrounding area was nicely covered in suitable plants.
While our chalet was adjacent to others, there was good privacy and sound isolation - we were never disturbed by any sounds of other people staying.
Being adjacent to the beach, there was a pleasant background sound of the waves breaking on the beach. Beach access was available nearby.
WiFi Internet access was included, and worked seamlessly. The chalet had a well-equiped kitchen, a full-sized fridge and good cooking facilities.
When it was time to checkout, this process was equally simple.
In summary, we enjoyed everything provided and found nothing lacking that we needed.
KKeniferaxI am a tourist and I am not familiar with the area. The location is not considered convenient, you must drive there yourself. But it is surrounded by wineries where you could pay a visit for food and wine. In terms of facilities, I have been to other resorts with better facilities but given we are down south in Perth, I think thats okay. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place for a relax trip, then this should be the right place for you.
