Hotel Princesa Louçã

The hotel used to be owned by the Hilton group. It is a very nice hotel with spacious bedrooms. There is a nice well proportioned outdoor pool with sunbeds etc. The quality of the food in the restaurant, both for breakfast and evening meal is superb. I had the seafood risotto which contained prawns, squid, octopus, mussels and chicken which I can quite honestly say was the best I have ever eaten. Good range of beers and wine are available at reasonable prices. Excellent waiters and waitresses are very attentive. My thanks to Roberto on reception for taking the time to check in for my flights. Recommended!

People, as they present a place of this as a hosting option, no site should include that place ... hotel literally released, starting from the entrance, dark lifts, bath towels, with the hands already being swept, from the pra seeing the other side hanging, bed linen in the same condition, old and fine, sleeved, sticked, with sticks of the same model and encarnated, I was disgusted, We sleeped without covering to feed the pads with the pans I had as a lingerie, unfortunately I arrived at 3 a.m. with my daughters, there was no vacation in any other hotel to spend the night I asked 2 waters and qo from the room I went to put in the fridge, I almost vomited from the smell inside... breakfast, which was that, that was absurdly embarrassing, eaten half a bread with egg and a coffee wash, my daughter picked a juice that said to be aceola, but it was a pink garpa, I couldn't take, This place must be closed, taken leave or something like this. I'm glad we got another hotel and we go out at 9 a.m. and still charge expensive daily for that absurd.
Atrium Hotel Quinta de Pedras

Hotel located in gorgeous old colonial-style building. Beautiful decor. Room was very large and spacious. Lack of insulation of windows meant lots of street noise early in the morning. Area around the hotel felt unsafe at night: need to take taxi (or Uber). Staff were just atrocious: front desk staff had no clue how to check in a guest: I had booked online on the hotel website, and communicated with the hotel by email before arrival, but front desk had trouble to locate my booking and kept asking for my contact details… checkin took forever. A/C unit in room leaked water: not just the occasion drip, but almost a waterfall - when informed, front desk staff just shrugged shoulders. Bed sheets were too short for bed (at foot end of bed, we were basically sleeping on the bare mattress). when asking about this at the front desk, they claimed the picture we showed was from another hotel (!)… until we dragged them to our room to show the bed. Despite assurances from restaurant staff and front desk staff the night before, breakfast starts at 7am, and not a minute earlier! (Even if the buffet is ready and you have a tour guide picking you up, no chance to get anything to eat before 7am) Not sure if it was lack of training or a general lack of interest in customer service, but service at this place is BAD!
Grand Mercure Belém do Pará

The hotel is very good. New and pleasant rooms. Excellent breakfast. But I forgot my watch in the room and they said it was not found. I realized I had forgotten my watch in the airport and I called the hotel immediately. The receptionist Allan took me and said he would come back. I called again after two days, and Victor did exactly the same thing, and so on, until Solomon answered me, and was very careful, educated and responsive. It was until the end of the “research” but unfortunately, according to the governance, the watch was not found. I missed and no one found. I found a absurd pq I had just left the hotel when I realized I wasn't with me. Finally... don't forget anything pq will never be found anymore.

I found the hotel with a good cost benefit, but I had a problem with the use of the safe, where it was not working, so I believe that before you give your room to the guest, everything must be checked. And they should be more capriching in cleaning.

Mercure Belem Boulevard

Overall, we got a very cheap deal for 8 nights and for the price we paid, it was ok. However, there is still a lot they can improve on. We know Belem is not the most internationally oriented city. However, when booking a Mercure, you would expect the guest-facing team to speak English. Throughout the stay we met 3 receptionists with 75% English. The other team members 0, which made communication quite hard. We booked a Superior Room, as from reading other reviews, we could figure out these were quite recently renovated. Being a global company and French brand, you would expect a renovated room to have universal power sockets. Unfortunately, they did not. It was our first time in Brazil and we are from Europe. Our phone chargers fit in the power socket just fine, but the laptop charger did not. We never knew there was a difference. Strangely enough, the hotel only had adaptors from Brazil to Europe, not the other way around. Already quite annoyed, we decided to purchase one ourselves outside. Unfortunately, that also turned out to be an impossible task. Could not find it anywhere. Next day told reception we would look for it ourselves as well, but if they could please ask their purchaser to find an adaptor. We still did not find it ourselves, the hotel did not even bother to look. So, on the third day I got quite upset, as I was not able to work on my laptop. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to the manager. One lady came, we never were told her name or job title, but then the receptionist had to translate as even the manager did not speak English. We gave her the actual charger to keep with her so they could find a suitable adaptor. When returning in the evening there was an adaptor in the room with a handwritten note stating they found us the adaptor we need. NOT, it was the same one from Brazil to Europe. We actually gave the charger, and still we got an adaptor which does not fit. Of course, immediately we went down again. Then one guy from the Maintenance team looked at it and said he would sort something out. He came very happy to the room after 15 minutes. He actually melted the holes in the adaptor to make them bigger so our charger would fit. Melted!! Huge fire hazard, but ok it worked. Breakfast was in a meeting room due to renovation of the restaurant. That can happen, but there was absolutely no atmosphere created in the meeting room. At least play some background music! Although the variety of food at breakfast was not great, the quality of the items was good! Problem though is that there is no system for refilling empty items on the buffet. Especially scrambled eggs were often unavailable, as they would wait for it to be empty, then inform the kitchen to make more. There was also no registration at breakfast, so they would never know how many more people were still supposed to come for breakfast. Each day there were 2 different fresh juices, from fruits only known to Brazilians we guess. We did not like any of them. Can
