Positive Great Location, you are relatively close to everything in walking distance. There is a pharmacy next door, as well as a bakery that has outstanding quality. The rooms are clean and spacious. One of the big pros for me is that there are no carpets, which is a big plus. It avoids any unpleasant smells. Negative Unfortunately, there are a lot more negative comments rather than positive ones. My family and I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt, but due to Covid-19, the hotel was temporarily closed. We were left with no other option but to give this hotel a try. I want to emphasize that this hotel has the potential to be a 4 or 5-star hotel if adjustments are made. Nonetheless, this hotel should be a 3 star. On the first day of arrival, we had wifi. However, on the 2 day of our stay, we no longer had wifi. We contacted the reception desk, and the girls in counter said they were having issues with their wifi due to their guest capacity?!?!?!?!?!?! really? This is a hotel that shouldn't even be an issue. We are in 2020 in 2020 even McDonalds has a reliable WIFI however, Windsor Marapendi did not. After a few days the ”Partial Wifi” was back up, I mean partial because the wifi was only available in the lobby. Just writing this review baffles me with their lack of proper and basic preparation and administration. Wifi was not available during our entire 9-day stay. We stayed on the 13th floor, and again I repeat no wifi in the room. I had to go down to the lobby so I could log in to my laptop to work. How inconvenient and above all this, not one apology and acknowledgment of their lack of proper planning from the hotel, and they didn't even move a finger to make matters right with this nuisance. There was a lack of responsibility and care from the hotel. All they would say is that they are working on it. The hotel charges for the use of an adapter. It's 50 real. Although it's nothing if you convert it to USD, all hotels allow you to borrow an adapter if needed. Especially one that has no wifi. (forgive me, but I can't get over this wifi issue) Breakfast is free, which is a nice thing (especially for a hotel with no wifi), but it's mediocre, your best off going out for breakfast you will have a much better experience. Blowdryer is obsolete. Suppose you want to dry your hair, good luck. Bring your blowdryer. In my case, I had to go out and buy one during my stay. The Reception desk crew needs a complete revamp on professionalism and Customer Service. If you are trying to be a high-end hotel ( Which this hotel is not), Customer service is everything you guest needs to feel welcomed and feel like their needs is cared for regardless of how little or big their needs are. Windsor Marapendi, you have great potential if the criticism is taken and executed for them not to happen again in the future with other guests. You need major improvement. Hotel is very well located in front of the Atlatica avenue. the room itself is perfect. the bed is perfect and extremely confort. The crew are excellent, they really wants to serv you....i specially thank to Beatriz (attendent), Van Carlos (concierge) and super-sympatic Antonio at the front bar. The TV cable channels are very good. the crew speaks preaty well more than one language. What they could improve? 1 - the check-in process and queue speed. The wi-fi signal into the rooms. The window allows some external noise to come into the room and the breakfast itens variaty can be reviewed. I definetely recommend Othon palace hotel and I would consider it on my next Rio de janeiro visit for sure.

It is not a 4 star hotel experience. The room was not tidied up even though we spent most of the day out of the room, the change of towels had to be requested twice, after arriving from the beach and not being able to shower with clean towels (and even the new one they brought was stained and dry like sandpaper), the air conditioning in the common areas (entrance hall and cafe area) was not working for two days on the two hottest days of the year in Rio, and the breakfast is good, but nothing spectacular. Rooms with large beds and good facilities. Bad wifi.

Without even looking at us, he told us that we needed to check in online and pointed at a QR code. After we finished, he told us that there were no rooms available for early check in “for the rate we were paying.” We explained to him that we called the hotel, and we were told that there were rooms available. He did not want to hear it. He insisted that he did not have any rooms available at the price we were paying. However, he told us that if we wanted to upgrade, he will give us a room immidiately (basically, he was trying to push us to upgrade). I do not know if this is company policy. If it is, the hotel should put a warning when it offers different rates, for example: “if you choose the lowest room rate, we will look down on you and disrespect you.” I asked the receptionist for his name, and he ignored me completely. After the third time, he finally told me his name. He needed my ID, and even though I was standing right in front of him, he asked my wife for it. I complained to him and told him that he did not have to treat us like that. In a very threatening manner and practically yelling at me, he asked me “if I had a problem with him.” Once again, I tried to explain to him that we called the hotel, and we were told that there were rooms available. I understand that mistakes can be made and perhaps the person over the phone gave us the wrong information. All receptionist Porfirio Fonte needed to say was: “I am sorry, you were giving the wrong information, but I will try to get you a room as soon as one becomes available” (you know, Customer Service 101). But, I guess being professional was too much for him as he went on about our hotel rate. After much insistence, he finally told us that if a room becomes available before 2 pm (it was 11 am), he will give it to us. We asked him if he could call us to let us know, but he refused. Instead, he told us to call the hotel. At that point, and based on the way receptionist Porfirio Fonte treated us, my wife and I concluded that: (1) There is no way he is going to give us a room before 2 pm; and (2) He is going to give us the worst room he has. It was my first time to go to Rio on business, and I booked this hotel. Overall, the transportation location is very good, and the room conditions are also OK. I recommend it! Everyone should pay attention to safety when coming to Rio, and booking here can improve safety.

I spent four nights at this hotel, in a very nice area of Rio. Great facilities: magnificent rooms (standard), excellent bed and linen, very nice swimming pool (heated) with gorgeous views, pleasant common area, etc. The management, however, is not so good. Nothing serious or terrible, but not what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. E.g.: I was supposed to receive a free big bottle of water in my room, as part of the arrangement for my group; I did not received it and I was told that I should pay for it if I wanted it; in addition, I was asked, when checking our, to pay for 2 bottles! (when I ordered just one). I complained and no charge was made finally but it gave me a poor impression about the level of care for the details one would expect in a hotel of this category. Moreover, in a place what you cannot drink water from the tap safely, the management should provide with courtesy drinking water for every guest, as is usual in most places. About the food: very good in the restaurant, reasonably priced (but obviously not cheap). However, the breakfast was disappointing: little variety and quality in the fruit (in a place such as Brazil!!!), slow service for the eggs or tapioca you ordered, and little variety of bread and pastry, as well as other deficiencies (quality of cheese, ham or salami, etc.). A special positive mention for the cleaning personnel: very efficient and nice, always respected the requests I made about timing. Bravo.

The inn is excellent. Always very receptive to everyone and has an incredible structure. Very cozy and friendly. The rooms with the winter garden are the most beautiful things there are. Proximity to Rua das Pedras is absurd. 8 min walk from Buzios Bus Station. 6 min from Privilege and Buda Beach 15 min from Praia dos Ossos and another 5 min to Azedinha. In front of Americanas, McDonalds, restaurants with great cost/benefit. I will always stay at Selina when I am in Buzios. Congratulations.

Third time here... and they keep improving and surprising me and my family beyond imagination, for sure a world-class hotel filled with unique experiences, exceptional staff, and the restaurants are REALLY AMAZING !! Shootout to The Jul's and the brand-new Sushi 11 with a beautiful golf course view, everything is impeccable.. Just perfect, the sea , the food, the activities, the gym, the spa and so on... a place to forget the world and be happy with the ones we love most ! Thank you guys ! See you soon for the 4th one

A pousada é excelente, muito confortável! Ótima localização, próximo de posto de gasolina, dois mercados e várias lanchonetes. O atendimento muito agradável, as recepcionistas informam como chegar na praia de Geribá, ”virei a rua e já estava na praia - Muito pertinho!” Não precisa gastar com táxi para ir para o Centro (Rua das Pedras) basta pegar uma van ou ônibus que em 5 minutinhos estará lá, é sensacional. O café da manhã de domingo foi perfeito com muita variedade e as atendentes interagem com os hóspedes e você acaba se sentindo em família.

I took a trip from the 18th to the 24th of March, stable weather, very hot and clear skies with little wind. The hotel is very comfortable and charming, the hotel staff are very attentive, I stayed in the room next to the reception. Breakfast is wonderful, the breakfast attendants are extremely polite and friendly, the view from the restaurant at the top of the hotel is very beautiful and you can see the entire beach of João Fernandes, Búzios. This same restaurant gives access to a very beautiful infinity pool that provides a wonderful view and beautiful photos. The hotel also offers a separate lunch, snack and dinner service with delicious dishes. It is no longer necessary to climb several flights of stairs. Currently, there is a follicular elevator that takes you to the highest floor of the hotel. This elevator has an attendant available at all times. The cleanliness of the hotel is exquisite and done with great care and attention, the bathrooms are very good, they have cold and hot water, all the devices in the bathroom are working properly. The rooms have new air conditioning and a very comfortable bed, the bedding is soft and clean, towels are changed frequently, the rooms have cable TV and the internet works correctly via Wi-Fi. I loved my stay and I will definitely come back again because excellent service must be recognized and exalted. I thank all the staff of the Hotel Búzios Mar Hotel.

What a charming and nice boutique hotel! the hospitality shown by the staff from the moment we arrived at the hotel and through our 5 nights stay, worth mentioned especially, the people hosting the breakfast! Nice food! Very nice rooms and would love to go back and again both to the city and the hotel!

Pousada nova, funcionários muito educados e prestativos! Custo/benefício excelente!!! Os quartos são muito confortáveis e tem varanda. O café da manhã é simples mas bom. Fica um pouco distante da praia mas não chega a ser um problema. A capacidade para automóveis é limitada a 3 vagas mas a rua é bem tranquila!!

Excelente la Pousada. El lugar súper bien ubicado, la habitación súper linda, limpia y amplia. Las piscina excelente, una viste increíble. En el resto se come muy bien y el personal de la Pousada súper atento y amable. Recomendable 100% para ir a disfrutar de Buzios

The guest placed the first day in a room in works, was dirty and did not fulfill the q we bought; the second day, by complaint we changed the room, but this happened only pq one room unoccupied. If not, I would have a bedroom in works and dirty, and we bought a bedroom with balcony and front to the garden, and they put it in a hidden room and in works.

Hotel in the recreation. Nearby several shopping, show house, beach and shopping. Excellent cost X benefit. spacious rooms, comfortable bed, clean bed clothes. Good service and breakfast tired and varied. A little tight bathroom, a shower with a good fall of water. I just didn't like the position of the same: comes in the middle of the box. But that's just a detail. I recommend

The hotel is in a very good location , 5 minutes walking and you are on the beach . It’s a very beautiful building and the room is clean, the service was very good, all the employees were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with many options, including fruits and local things. We stayed during New Year’s Eve , and we choose a good place to escape from the crowd Copacabana, Praia do Recreio is more quiet and clean, there were some noises from fireworks but nothing comparing to Copacabana.
