Before coming here, I'd seen mixed reviews on Xiaohongshu and felt a bit unsure, but the photos looked so unique. I thought, I've stayed in too many chain hotels, this time I *have* to try something with character.
To my surprise, every little corner was exactly like the pictures – absolutely no faking! It's incredibly atmospheric and super photogenic.
I arrived early, and since the king room I booked wasn't available, the front desk immediately upgraded me to a different room type, and I was able to check in right away.
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right on Xisandao Street, yet it's surprisingly quiet. Turn right out the door and you're at Central Street in one minute. Turn left and it's a two-minute walk to Zhaolin Park bus station. Zhaolin Park subway station is a five-minute walk if you cut through the park.
They even have several small cat shelters outside the entrance, which the doorman said are specifically for stray cats.
The cleanliness is on par with a five-star hotel, and the amenities are complete, including a fully automatic toilet, a huge shower, an air purifier, and more.
The staff are incredibly enthusiastic and respond immediately to any request. Doormen warmly open the door every time you enter or leave. When we checked out, a staff member proactively helped me load my luggage into the ride-share car's trunk. The whole experience was top-notch; what more can I say? I've already strongly recommended this hotel to friends, and also urged them to visit Harbin. I'll definitely be back in Harbin, and I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Absolutely fantastic!

The service here is excellent, from booking to the front desk and restaurant staff, everything was impeccable. The Chinese restaurant waitress, Miss Xu, was especially warm and professional. This is much better than the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, where I noticed foreign guests were prioritized with excessive deference – that wasn't the case here in Harbin. The Ritz-Carlton Harbin's service was truly attentive and responsive to every request, hats off to them! 👍
There were a few minor downsides. The smart toilet seat, if you sit on it for too long, the lid taps your back. 🤭 The first room they assigned me was quite far from the elevator, which I had requested since I'm a light sleeper. However, after the staff showed me to the room, I got lost trying to find the elevator again after turning a few corners, haha! So I went back to my room and called the front desk. They then upgraded me to a river-view room closer to the elevator. But as soon as I entered, there was a slight lingering smell of renovation near the entrance. For someone as sensitive to smells as I am, it was quite impactful, but I really didn't want to bother them again. Sure enough, I woke up with a headache in the middle of the night, quickly took some medicine, and felt better after an early morning walk.
Breakfast runs until 10:30 AM, but by 9:40 AM, the hot milk was already gone. A kind female manager went to the coffee machine to get me a cup, as it would take 7 minutes to provide more hot milk. My suggestion is that if breakfast is until 10:30 AM, they shouldn't stop replenishing items early just because there are fewer people. This will only lead to even fewer guests over time. I even bought 14 more breakfast vouchers, by the way. The quality of the breakfast ingredients is excellent, which is why I bought 10 breakfast vouchers.
The gym equipment is great, and the service there is also very enthusiastic. The lighting in the swimming pool area at night was a bit dim. Since it's a water environment, dim lighting can be dangerous and make it difficult to spot issues. My friend suddenly got leg cramps, luckily a coach came over and pulled her out. The downside is that there are two lifeguard observation chairs, but no lifeguards. There's a duty coach who occasionally comes in to check, and sometimes goes to the gym to teach. Even though the water depth is 1.35 meters, a swimming pool, by regulation, must have lifeguards on the chairs. Accidents can happen in water, so safety is paramount. Overall, my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Harbin was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely recommend it to any friends visiting.

The location is excellent, just a three-minute walk to Central Street. The breakfast set menu offers no choices, and honestly, it's more about presentation than taste, which was just so-so. The breakfast could definitely be more varied; the steak mentioned in previous reviews is no longer available. There's a free afternoon tea, but there's hardly anything to eat. Perhaps it's because the peak season in Harbin is over, and they're cutting costs in the off-season, which is understandable given the incredibly good off-season prices. As an added bonus, it's acceptable. The building is an old Russian-style structure, so the slow drainage in the rooms is unavoidable. Overall, the staff provides great service, the location is good, and it's clean. Considering the off-season price, which is comparable to a budget hotel, I highly recommend it.

How should I even start, the whole stay was just amazing although it was only for a night. I booked 3 rooms in total for my family and the host and all the staff were so nice, they picked us up, gave us fruits and drinks, treated us like a close friend and family. My dad wasn't feeling well and they kept caring about us which was amazing. They have their own food too so we ate there but it's amazing tooo!!! Oh yes, the room is clean, it's as what you see online and it's really worthy the money if you're going to XueXiang snow village. Book this hotel!

This hotel's service was fantastic! My check-in was scheduled for 2 PM, but they called me at 10 AM to pick up my room card. They let me store my luggage and even had it delivered to my room.
They also gave me a free room upgrade to room 206, which had great natural light and a smart toilet. Besides bottled water, they provided a fruit platter, a coffee machine, and capsule coffee.
They offered two tickets to the Fairy Tale Museum (worth 40 yuan each), and I could choose outfits from the first floor to take photos in the room or lobby, with no time limit or restrictions on the number of outfits. They also included four travel photoshoots (appointments needed in advance).
The hundred-year-old elevator was free to use, and upon departure, they even gave me a small gift bag of chocolates.
The location is superb – just two subway stops from Harbin Station and a 10-minute walk. It's right next to Central Street, a 5-minute walk to St. Sophia Church, Red Brick Morning Market, and Zhaolin Park. The Baroque street, Flood Control Monument, and Stalin Park are all less than 2 km away. Taxis can pick you up and drop you off right at the entrance. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent! Because spring has arrived, Harbin is gradually reducing its heating supply, but the hotel's service was incredibly thoughtful. From the moment I walked in, they offered portable heaters and other equipment. During check-in at the front desk, I was lucky enough to be told I'd received a room upgrade. Later, I found my room was on the shaded side with not-so-ideal natural light. The guest services team came to speak with me and upgraded my room again. I feel incredibly lucky!

Wanted to give my thanks to Joe for picking us up in the airport and helping us all around. He is naturally helpful and kind. Well the hotel is grand. It is old but they maintain it. We booked suite room and it is very spacious and comfortable. Bed is just fine and huge bathroom. They make sure to clean our room every day. Location wise is excellent . Close to many malls, travel time to sofia church and some other famous attractions is about 25mins. Just the food selection in this hotel is limited. The chinese restaurant seems close or fully booked all the time and the japanese restaurant is close the whole duration of our week. Hotel says because its off season. I didn't take pictures to share but We definitely gonna book this hotel when we come back to harbin.

The room was spacious and clean, with a view of the Songhua River. The hotel is very close to Harbin Ice and Snow World and Sun Island, and it's easy to catch a taxi. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely recommend it to colleagues and friends, and I'll be back again next time.
Good value for money, especially in the winter high season. Good location, 10mins walkable distance to the Chinese Baroque Area and 20mins walkable distance to St. Sophia Church. I think I got the smallest room possible, so try to avoid rooms ending with -01 and -02. Clean room and the bed is very comfortable. Paid a bit more for the buffet breakfast. Nothing special but the fried rice was delicious and I ate a lot to tide through the day.

The room is quite spacious, and the location is excellent – right on Central Avenue. It offers great value for money. If you don't plan on visiting the famous bathhouses, the scrubbing service downstairs is pretty good. The hygiene and service were both satisfactory, and they even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Definitely worth a visit!

GGuest UserOur first night was in a standard king room, and we found it a bit odd to have a large round bathtub right in the middle of the room. The soundproofing was terrible; it sounded like the next-door neighbors were showering right in our ears. We mentioned it to the concierge, who immediately offered to switch rooms, and we ended up getting an upgrade. Both the rooms and the lobby are located on higher floors, which is the most inconvenient thing about this type of hotel. Every time you want to go in or out, it's a bit of a hassle. Although the hotel has 8 high-speed elevators, it still took about 5 minutes to get out for meals or the gym. However, this is apparently due to local government regulations requiring high-end hotels to occupy higher floors, so I guess it's not really the hotel's fault. Overall, the hotel staff seemed to be trying very hard, and the place has a lot of character, so I'll give it a good review.

GGuest UserPros:
1. The room was very spacious, luxuriously decorated, and the ambiance was elegant, making for a comfortable stay.
2. The facilities were excellent. The toilet was a smart toilet, and the room had both a humidifier and an air purifier.
3. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The front desk staff handled issues efficiently and promptly, and their attitude was very good.
Cons:
1. The hotel's hot spring is open to the public, and during the Chinese New Year, it was quite crowded. Guests didn't have a dedicated entrance and had to queue at the door to get a wristband before entering, which was inconvenient.
2. There was only one outdoor hot spring pool; all the others were indoors. This wasn't quite what I expected. I wish there were more outdoor pools, especially since the hotel's main selling point is its hot spring.
3. The gym had a limited number of machines, which wasn't quite enough. Also, there was a lack of equipment maintenance; the handles on some machines were too slippery. The gym's access control seemed to have an issue, as sometimes the card swipe wouldn't work.

GGuest UserThis was my first stay at Qiu Guo, and I decided to give it a try. I ended up having such a great experience that I extended my stay. Even though it's a self-service laundry room, the staff still helped bring my clothes back to the room or even dried them for me – a big thumbs up! 👍 The facilities in the common area are also excellent, with things like hair ties, nail clippers, hair clips, paper clips, and even a printer. I'll definitely be staying at Qiu Guo again in the future.
The room was very new, and all the amenities worked perfectly. The hairdryer was a Laifen, the same brand I brought with me!
